As what is currently ongoing between those shops, the payment processors, the groups impose pressure on those and sadly have much more success than that they should have, this wouldn't surprise me at all.

I’m worried about the dev. Submitting a game for review on Steam already costs money, and now that the release has been rejected, his revenue will shrink even further. That means development will be affected, and even if he doesn’t want it to, the reality is that he’ll face a lack of funds necessary for development. As a result, there’s a high chance the game might not be completed.

Yes, you’re right. I said that out of frustration because the games I like have been getting removed from Steam lately. And honestly, that kind of statement is definitely not mature. That’s why, after reading your comment, I went back and deleted the problematic part from my original post. Thanks for pointing it out.

no prob and you're welcome. But you got a thing wrong in all that. It's not Steam's (or Itch, Patreon etc) fault. It's Visa/Mastercard that push this shit on the platforms. And they are a whole lot bigger than them, with no real way of pushing back or alternatives. So they'll obey.
For someone who has never played this game before and was awaiting the steam release, could someone tell me why the hell this one got removed today?? It doesn't have any of the tags that I expected to be a problem.

Yes, Summer In The City got rejected by Steam today. I'm in utter shock and in serious trouble now. Already lost 40% of my monthly income due to the delisting on itch. Steam was my lifeline. I will make an official statement later today on Patreon etc. and will share it here too. Need some time to think now.

What's happening is crazy, not to mention how hypocritical it all is. Summer in the City is one of the healthiest and most sexually positive games out there; there's not an ounce of malice in it.
