That's very kind of you, thank you. It certainly is an uphill battle in this vast ocean of adult visual novels. But then again, it was never my intention to go all the way with the game anyway. After receiving almost exclusively positive feedback, there does seem to be a demand for such lighthearted, wholesome games though.

I definitely think there is. While games set in a college are not exactly few and far between, games with a female lead are, and even rarer if she is not into guys. The game has a cute and positive vibe so far, interesting characters and nice looking graphics. I think you have started a project a lot of people will like.

I didn't mean that sprites don't require a lot of work. Just that they may require less lot of work that full DAZ renders.
I had never create a game, nor "just" make renders, but I have no doubt it's a lot of works.
It's why I have HUGE respect for indie dev like you.
And why I can't stand peoples who have never do anything, but keep complaining/whining because indie games are developed at a lower pace that the one they expected or don't match their dreamed quality.

The vast majority of FMC games seem to focus on the corruption (often external and blackmail flavoured) and exploitation of the FMC, so I agree, this project is a breath of fresh air, where her sexual experimentation is powered more by internal power, and consent remains with the MC. The game being mostly Sapphic is just a huge lucky bonus for some of us.

Even for those rare games with a FMC that is into guys, but isn't being blackmailed/tricked into sex, I still can barely think of any decent male love interests. Guys usually suck, a lot, in these games. Mildly creepy is the cream of the crop for those I can recall.

I'm not as deep into the adult visual novel world as many here on this site, but the majority of the handful of games I actually have played (and often skipped through to be honest) were at the very least condescending towards female as well as male characters. They often felt like mere vehicles to carry their junk around. No personality beyond the surface, no agency when it comes to female characters with dialogues so dry and uninspired you actually hope for the next boring sex scene to arrive so the characters will finally shut up for a moment.

But there are also games I'd consider beacons of hope to end on a positive note. And those are usually among the most popular on this site, so that's a good sign I suppose. Not all is lost.

I'm trying hard to write a likeable male character who will become part of Summer's inner circle, either as a friend for life or something more, depending on which path you choose. Not sure if I'll succeed though... time will tell.

For me it was just a guy admiring a girl he found good looking in the subway while trying to convey that to Summer while not being to pushy. But I concede that this line between my interpretation and yours can be thin and wobbly and depends on multiple factors. I am under the impression that for a first time dev it is quite good. How would you have conveyed a guy's admiration for a girl that he sees in a subway and his happiness of seeing her again an other time? In one render to try and work with the same hardware as the dev? I know I would struggle with that, but I am genuinely interested in your opinion since we felt different things during those scenes.

Without changing a render, my first thought is to change the description so it's more 'look away, look back, look away, look back' on his end. I don't have it available right now, but from memory he seemed more full on stare the entire time, multiple times. That, to me, comes off less flirty, more predatory. Maybe have him have a book out (this would require new renders), but keep lowering it to take glances at Summer, get caught, go back to 'reading,' rinse and repeat.

As you say though, interpretation is inherently subjective, so I may be alone in reading it that way.

Just curious with the four stats we have, how much Domination and Submissive is going to drive the scenes, or at least be avoidable if possible. Considering Yun already has a very dom/sub route going, I'm just hoping there is going to be plenty of more vanilla relationships going. Either way loving it so far!

sounds like you're still playing version 0.1. The current up-to-date version is 0.13 which can be downloaded in the first post of this thread. In the current version the stats system has been fully removed and is no longer valid. I highly recommend to always play the latest version for the best experience since bugs, dialogue and other issues are getting fixed regularly. Okay, this sounded a bit too much like 'corporate talk' but it's true nevertheless, haha.

Well, you have nice thing going here, and I hope you can get some early support.
I'm sure a little monetary love doesn't hurt a dev's motivation either. Until said devs promise more than they can deliver to their Patreons though, and it all becomes a chore mixed with feeling about about that.

You will have full control over which characters you want to pursuit. The "sexpos points" are no longer valid in v0.13. Summer will never be forced into any sexual activity. All activities she engages in are voluntary and based on Summer's (the female protagonist) curious nature. Just a little heads up. I don't really know what your perception of "sex positivity" is, but it's not a bad thing in this game. You can play it for free and see if you like it or not. I hope for the first
