Just a matter of different tastes. Personally, I enjoy the cheeriness, the light-hearted banter, the general positivity.
There are so many games with heavy themes and serious and complex plots, and while I enjoy some of those too, this is just plain fun.

Using character sprites like this can help drastically reduce development time since it requires way less time posing and rendering, so I suspect that's one reason particularly early on. In more recent updates, I feel like a lot more of the renders are with characters posed in environments though.

I'm currently waiting for my new PC's components to arrive. It's gonna be a damn monster machine! As soon as it's assembled, you can expect even more unique scenes. I will probably get rid off the sprites for good in Season Two and focus fully on unique renders. Unless players take to the pitchforks and force me to keep 'em for some reason.

The sprites feel fun for back and forth banter.
If using sprites allows you to put more dialogue and player choice, I would highly advocate for sprites.
I think they are cute, especially the expressions.

I really appreciate the fun, light "vibe" of the game. Furthermore, I really enjoy how casual the dialogue reads. It is very similar to how people talk with their friends.

It is also refreshing to play a game that is not bogged down with heavy things like corruption and abuse. In this game, everyone is having fun, cares about one another and will band together when things get rough.

It's my favorite lesbian harem VN!

I have some plans for mom. She and Lilly are going to visit Summer in the city at some point, Summer will also visit her mom back home with some of her new friends from the city, but that's rather far away in the future.
But if you expect any actions between mom and Summer I'll have to disappoint you unfortunately. There might be some hot moments but no direct action between them. They will share LIs though if you let them.

Yep, there are a shit ton of incest games where the dev either tells Patreon they can fuck right off or makes (or someone else makes) patches for. Or where the relationship is asked and be default it's landlady, roommate, etc I mean do you REALLY think if you played any without patches that anyone would be up in arms about being attracted to their ROOMMATE and wondering if they'd have to move to Alabama (or whatever) if they hooked up?

I find it quite rare and enjoyable in some AVNs that we get to have scenes of family members having fun or dating without incest being involved
most AVNs make them unattractive or do not show them entirely and of course, the famous dead parents

i agree. it's surprising how ppl even argue for the addition of the ntr tag if a parent is present and they are not in a relationship with the mc.
