Might want to remove the save reminder for saves from 2019. Seems like very few people would be affected at this point

This probably won't work if several paths share the same scene or location with variants. In the long run it is more efficent to complete scenes instead of doing one path and then come back later to do the variations.
The new part has 8 scenes/locations each with more than 100 images in average and working time was around 1 month per scene/location if the whole update with 8 scenes took 8 months.

So after 8+ months it is only 1 path that really got updated?
I am on the Cassie path and yes, there is no real choice to be seen. It is either yes or no and yes gives me affaction points with her or no and i get just no affection points... What does this even do to the story (and don't say "future content" bc there is really no meaning behind it other than getting the right amount of affection points to unlock scenes so these were really meaningless other than "points")?
No spicy clips, no real meaning to the update, ...? Why do i go to the point of no spicy clips? Cassie went real femdom on the MC ass and now it is all story progression and normal lovely dovely? Come on. 8+ months for this? A joke.

No. All paths have been updated. There is simply no lewd content for any Solo Cassie path.

Waited like 8 MONTHS for content with Cassie, have do it all over again because the save doesn't work and got nothing new. Guess i'll give up on this game.
Previous saves should work fine. Can you show me the error ? Can you rollback or ignore ?

Not bad game but I didn't like a few things: given names for girls are not saved properly in game so I was confused because of 4 names instead of 2 (Cassie and Eve and than suddenly the names prompted for input). And the second thing is that scenarios 4 Cassie... that was disgusting part where she dominates and makes awful things to MC.

There is a route where she is the dominant one in the relationship.
If you don't want to see that, don't get her dom route. It's going to be like that all the way through if you are on that route.
The girls name are saved properly, as there is no option to rename them. I removed it from the game a couple of version ago. I don't know how you managed to rename them on this version.
And if you don't like femdom content, just don't go that way.

FYI: It's nothing to do with the mod either. I'm going to introduce renaming in the pending update that isn't disctructive but didn't have it coded previously. It would appear that this user has somehow mixed the current release update inside an older install and has things all borked.
A few counterpoint to people complaining about lack of new content for an 8 month dev cycle between updates.
1. It's a branching paths narrative and has been so from the start. That always means a lot of work is going to be split over multiple paths. Which means relatively speaking if you do just one path, you will only see limited new content.
Dev could go with fully developing one path at a time. But that feels unfair to people more interested in other paths not being developed. This way everyone is equally unhappy, which is the definition of a good compromise.
2. A "lack" of lewd content is not a bad thing necessarily. This game differentiates itself by its emphasis on story and buildup. The difference between something erotic and porn is that porn wants to get to sex asap, whereas erotic content realizes that what happens before, and after sex is as important as the sex itself. I think if you just want to fap you're better off with porn or a porn game. I'm personally here for what this game does differently from porn games.
3. That being said scope/content creep is probably a high risk for this version as characters get introduced and need to be properly maintained if they persist in being part of the story. I personally prefer a limited number of characters that get fully explored over a larger cast where some characters only barely get explored. But only time will tell if my worries are warranted.
4. Ultimately it's the creators' story. He tells it how he wants it. If we are dissatisfied we can always stop supporting (for the ones that do this) him. Though for the ones that DL and play for free, I kind of feel like being openly hostile is not warranted.
I personally liked the update for what it was. Though I probably would prefer waiting for a full day's content rather than having a day split in three as it kinda breaks the flow and will need to start the day from the beginning when the final update for this day drops anyway. Yet I can understand people wanting to play every scrap as soon as it comes out.
In any case, thanks for the update dev. See you in a few months for the final part of this day.

Actually I didn't rename girls on purpose. The game asked 4 that from the start, without prompting to keep their names by default:

That's the Cassie dom path. If you don't like it then go for the Cassie true love path, which is the vanilla route for her.

Your first mistake is to come here to get it. Or think the Captain is the one who put it here in the first place.
People check new patreon for adult VNs, and put it here indescriminately. But there's a world of difference between, say BaDIK, which I think we can fairly agree is more "sex content oriented", and a "heavy story focused" one like Summer Scent.
Which is great by the way, "variety is the spice of life" and all that jazz. The problem lies with people coming on this here forum expecting every game to be mostly porn. And a ton of good devs are not in it just for that. They want to tell a story first. Which means not every update is necessarily going to include gangbangs and anal creampies and whatnot.
So yeah, just try to understand that just because there's a game on the forum that's being posted, doesn't mean it's gonna be full-on porn. In fact as far as I'm concerned I'd argue the ones I like the most are probably those who are the least focused on that part.

Dev Update #152
Summer Scent v0.6.2 is now available for gunners!

I've been working on a "light" in-game walkthrough mode for the most part of the week.
It still needs some refinement but I came up with something that works. It's pretty much an implementation of the trigger lists that were available to Tide Riders supporters until now. It will show what triggers the player needs to select for a chosen path and will give some information about the points required to unlock options.
I don't want it to be absolutely exhaustive as, without choices, the game wouldn't really be a game anymore. I still want the player to search for missing achievements and that kind of stuff.
So far, all the "solo paths" have been implemented. I should be able to finish it next week with some time to spare for other tasks.
I'll probably be working on code and features for at least a week before I go back to content.
Meanwhile, I also progressed on the story map for the next update. It's not 100% complete but I have a precise idea of what the content will look like.
I'm always tempted to plan lots of content and different scenes and keeping myself in check in that regard isn't easy as I easily get carried away. But I'm trying to stay reasonable.
