Snarky comments or not, it doesn't move the needle for the game in a positive or negative way. My concern is it's hurting the game in terms of missed opportunities (new players discovering the game), lost traction (newer players late in discovering the game forgetting it exists) and some long-term followers getting turned off
I want this game to succeed...
Now--if I understood correctly (some time ago) the developer was in some sort of re-do...? I just hope it's worth it and can bring back followers as well as get a bigger following

I've finished redoing the game, but I haven't had time to test it all properly and make sure it works fine.
The main reason for the delay is that I'm stuck in a new game - clair obscur expedition 33 (not an advertisement, I don't just really like this game).

Honestly, after his last post and the "reasons" of the delay I'm done with this game... 2 years 3 updates....
Technically, yes.
He did not go back to remake the game or re-do content, he just went back and streamlined the choices and routes currently available in the game to hopefully make it a bit easier to navigate for both old and new players of the game.
A lot of the choices would lead to missing scenes and situations that was not immediately clear to the player, which led to a lot of frustration and people having to constantly ask for help since the game has no walkthrough or WT mod.
And hopefully with that change future development will be a bit faster now that he doesn't have to juggle 10 different variables for 1 scene.
But for now he is done with that part, and just has dialogue and coding left to do until release.
But as I understood it he is on vacation right now from his job, but it was not clear if he would work on the game or not during this time as he aimed for an end of July release.

its kinda crazy that a lot of devs who got a very promising game either got in deep depression or close relatives or familymember got really serious sick. :/
its like someone/thing dont want us to enjoy good games...
like with the AAA sector. only crap survives...

The 5 weeks projection isn't good news at all considering all of Spring was missed for an update and now half of Summer.
But the REALLY GOOD NEWS is how many people are replying to this page which means there still is a fair to good following

Not sure which is worse. The delay or the pictures in the recent updates being so tame.

I think the DEV did a mistake.
the boss route, it was not for everyone but it gave a bit of "kinky stuff" to the story.
but he closed that route, like he was not happy with it, maybe people complained (as they usually do)
after that its mostly vanilla/slow stuff. we get some nice scene but the next update theres nothing new or it start over.
I mean, we should be in the 3some, anal, bukkake phase now. its 4 years.

he had created a gold mine and turned it into coal. The options were endless, wonderful female presences, paths that could lead to relationships with the boss, with one or both brothers, the arrival of the mother, etc., etc., but the dev simply stopped.
Unfortunately, many creators get bored or reach a creative dead end or even get discouraged when they see that their game does not have the appeal they would like, especially in the financial part. So many games have been stopped or are simply maintained at the bare minimum just to exist. Unfortunately, this game now belongs to this category...
