Makes me wonder how many people ILLGAMES have left to begin with. I suspect not much.
I just know illusion was based in Yokohama and exploded into both and with a hard break-up. That is not something you do when everything is going smoothly, and makes me suspect either a. running from debt or b. fundamental internal disagreements - neither of those being a good sign.

From sniffing whatever marketing they display on their respective websites, I speculate ILLGAMES took with it at least part of the anime-style team, and ILLUMINATION took with it the VR developers and the realistic-style team.
And this naturally complicates things. The talent you had isn't here anymore. As of today, looking at , they are still searching for game programmers and 3D designers - but only from new graduates from the coming and past year, not from before.

And the conclusion to all that is that I have no fucking idea what they're doing. Most likely their best. I suspect they might be scrambling (heh) for money at this early stage of the new respective companies.

Now I wonder what Japan itself - the actual target demographic and the ones actually giving money - thinks of the ILLGAMES games. I am certain the international market is definitely not a target, at least not at this time, so our opinion is basically discarded (sorry STN - but good luck with C2L and PassionEye, I am definitely looking forward to it).
But I know Pixiv has been rife with mods - especially for Koikatsu. And now not only has ILLGAMES switched compilation from JIT/IL to ASM/precompiled, which isn't that bad of a move by itself, it looks like they are also actively preventing mods in their terms of service...?
Can anybody read their ToS (which I can't find for the life of me) and confirm? Because it kinda sounds wild given the use. Or maybe it's only for their online shop/card-sharing (which I can totally understand in this case), or it's just a generic self-covering protection and they don't actually give a crap.

You are absolutely right in what you are talking about.
It couldn't be said more clearly and concisely.

The topic of AI is completely forgotten by IllGames and Illusion.

But not only that, there are also problems in the bodies, I am going to add a couple of photos that I would like someone at IllGames to see to learn something.

They aren't trying to be realistic, so who gives a fuck. The bodies in the game are perfectly fine.

It's fine, as long as it's not vague answers... also what part of that was brief? why you do this to me? :(

TLDR; Some good points, but I still think SVS is an alright improvement in comparison to AA2 for now- with more room for improvement.

But it's cool that they made an additional choice for the player with a choice of dialogue intensity (3 options), from which sometimes a different character answer can come out, contributes to variety. It's a pity that such innovations are very few and even more a pity that they either do not exist at all, or almost make no sense.
This is a translator and some words may change a little. But I understood you well, I used several translators.

Hi

Personally i dislike "loli chars" and prefer mature or teen chars , that's why i try to make my own chars and on my own taste , perhaps you need a bit of practice making chars ;) , i recommend u install the slider unlocker (plugin/mod).

This is one of my own chars :

THIS! This is why I always hope they will release a realistic-style games one day (preferably after Samabake lol). We desperately need a pouty onee-chan, seductive oba-san, irresistible MILF and everything in-between. And the thing is, they already had one game that achieved it with flying colors, which is Room Girls. Many people simply glossing over this game, but the truth is this game have, arguably, the best older sister, oba-san and MILF creator out there, surpassing the stale DOAX series and on par with Stellar Blade (we can easily create Eve and the others in Room Girls, a game launched 2 year ago).

We don't know who is onboard on the new Illgames team, but I fckn pray they get hold of the game designer, modeler and shader programmer of Room Girls, because they create a masterpiece of character creator. Really this game EXCEL in creating a broad variety of beautiful mature woman, yet can still create younger woman. The only bad things that sink this game is the unintuitive gameplay. As SiTWulf said earlier, this game tried to become an "adult" The Sim, but failed miserably because the game logic isn't good, Illusion's game programmer just doesn't have the skill to pull it off. That's why I hope they learned from that mistakes and just take the character creator and just slap Koikatsu/Samabake's game logic, or modernized AI Shoujo game logic, something that they excel in. For me, I don't mind getting interrupted frequently by an angry MILF or horny oba-san lol.

I've been following this thread for some days now, obviously since this is the closest we got to an AA2 sequel (apart from Koikatsu, which is not this close but at least they tried). I'd like to share my thoughts, not talking from experience since I did not play this one (created chars and stuff alike for fun but so far didn't actually play anything lol).

Regarding the "AA2U is better" and "SVS looks meh". I'm pretty sure it's better in some aspects, but lacks in others, a ten years apart (spiritual) sequel featuring a smaller map, the same amount of chars (or even less), and almost same gameplay, is not acceptable. It's sad but you had 10 years, even remaking the exact same game but with more of everything and new graphics, was enough (ehem, look at AA1, AA2 and AA2U, each one features half a polygon more or less than the prev one, in a way, AA2U feels like a proper update for AA2, which is a small update over AA1). In terms of graphics, SVS is just superior, done with it, don't deny reality, yes it features more polygons, yes it's technically superior too, yes the chars look more anime, yes everything now features more resolution. You can debate from an artistic POV (but this is always subjective, and seems like majority think SVS > AA2, later if we get some SVSU, we can compare it to AA2U, will surely be the same anyway).

Regarding the modding issue. Judging by what others said here, the game seems to be harder to mod due to some compilation issue (don't remember, but basically, instead of having all the files there ready to be modified, now they're all hidden, all obscured, all encrypted, all less manipulable without rebuilding the entire solution). The moment modders manage to break through this, we will surely get a better SVSU (since Unity as an engine already supports more stuff compared to the original AA2 engine). Let's just hope modders stay (since we're all humans, maybe some are dead, or lost interest on this stuff, or aren't into modding anymore). In a way I see a bright future, illusion ("illgames") seems to be re-making every prev game, so expect all the old ones to be remade with cute graphics, and this one (since it's the only game that relies on gameplay, is not only about f#cking things) will surely feature some expansions and DLC like stuff, happened with Koikatsu before and will surely happen with this one, or at least I hope so .-.

That being said, amazes me how some stuff is entirely missing, a smaller map? 2 male personalities? Non voiced? Damn, hope mods can solve all this eventually (specially since many are just random variables, adding personalities should not be that hard, the important thing is to be able to modify this stuff, "just change personalities from 2 to 3", how the hell do you do that if instead of C# you have compiled stuff with 0s and 1s from time to time?)
There is more important things missing, for example fighting was entirely cut off, no beating a rival, no forcing to sex or jailing people after defeating them using Unlimited modules. So, hate, rivalry, bullying and forcing are nonexistent, or at least very toned down in SVS. Without fighting, more extreme stuff will be hard to implement. I'm not sure if it possible to mod fighting in this game.

It seems that SVS was created be more lighthearted game, and that might be a limited factor for more freedom in gameplay.

One of my save have 5 girls that liked the PC decided to extort the sole girlfriend of PC to ignore him. It is very possible. They also spread bad rumours about the girl beforehand.

So i think it is very possible for bullying, forcing and mindbreak even.

Can't say much since I still didn't play the game, but sure, the thing with Illusion is that they seem to not care about developing a proper game, let me be clear, some make awesome games, others make bad ones, but always pursuing a passion for it. Then you have companies like Illusion that focus on money more than "the passion for make the perfect game". Obviously this is just my opinion, my pov based on part of the history of the company (been there since AA2, not before, so I won't be taking prev history into account, just the last 10 years), but you always see their games lacking *a lot* of features, or being censored (no, not the dick, talking about stuff such as the one you mentioned), you get 2 new features, but 3 are missing, the 2 are welcoming ones, the 3 are most times missed, you expect the game to be more sandbox like, yet you get a game that many times feels more limited than the prev one (prev one being 10 years old now, that's a damn lot).

I personally don't see passion on any of their games now, hope they just fix this issue, Idk, maybe the CEO one day shows up like "I feel like making a proper game? I'll go all in and pay you for an entire year. 12 months instead of 4, go crazy and develop something better", but 12 months must sound like a lot to them, what about 12 weeks instead? lol

When it comes to modding, not that sure about how easy or hard it is to mod the game outside the horrible barrier they put between files and actual code. The main concern now, to me at least, is making modding accessible, then we will see how hard is to tweak values (once we know and have those values at hand, something that seems to be lacking with this particular game, hence why porting mods seems to be impossible now .-. ). Maybe they discover how to mod such aspects and suddenly "hey, you do interactions.Add(myInteraction) and suddenly you can add a fighting or killing interaction!!!", maybe it's the opposite "dud, everything is hardcoded, seems like adding new stuff is almost impossible without breaking everything", but as of now, it seems to be hard af to just access the code and edit it ._.

Seems it's released and working yep, there's already a bunch of cards with the new personalities on the official card upload page. That will be nice, having only 10 was really limiting.

I haven't tried downloading it though, as I guess the current translation and HF patch won't work with this update. Dunno if trying to patch over the current version will just leave the new bits untranslated or if it will break the game.

Green haired character is just asserting their dominance, there is nothing to fix.
Yeah, I guess so lol. Btw this problem is affecting all the game; I have invisible characters on the map (I can on only see the blue ring where they stand) and during "fun time" the characters have always their clothes on  even if I load a preset of clothes the change will happen but the clothes will still remain on body of the characters. So it's kinda see two mimes having segs and trust me, it's not funny as it sounds :BootyTime:

I'm sure that's someone's fetish.

Seriously though, no idea where all these weird graphical glitches come from. Maybe some mod messing with the graphics if you installed any, guess you already tried deleting and doing a clean reinstall?

New to this, where do I put the character cards that I downloaded, please?
Open the install folder and drop them in the \UserData\chara\female subfolder. Or male, if you're getting male cards.

If you're converting cards from Honey Come, they go in \UserData\convert\chara\female or male. They will be converted upon starting the game, but you'll still need to load them in the editor and save them so they're in the proper SVS format.

Just a heads-up though, the game just got updated with new options and personalities for characters, so newer cards created/uploaded today might not work properly if you have an older version of the game.
