Ren'Py - Completed - Summer with Mia [S1 v1.5.4 Steam] [Inceton Games]

I have quite mixed feelings about it. I started playing Summer with Mia 2 before part 1. I really liked swm2 so far, However this game is just a porn game. It has great animations and models especially for the time it was made.The characters are cool even though mia looks a bit doll like. emma is great,her character and plotting is a strong side of this game. However the story is uninteresting. Besides emma's plotting , the story is basically just trying to get laid and then fucking and being more and more depraved. Only at the very end mia develops feelings for mc and wants to stop what's she's doing. She starts thinking about future but finds out that mc has a romance with their mom. She leaves to start a new life away from mc and their shady past. Thats the part when story got interesting, her finding out about everything,last interactions with mc,last sex with mc,and first romantic one, and then goodbye letter. The letter was really good and last interactions between mia and mc, her not wanting to hear how he feels about her,cause she knew she had to leave,that was great. But overall in my mind part 1 is just an intro to swm2. The story of 2 terrible people engaged in blackmailing, harrasment and so on led by their even worse friend emma. Then they start developing feelings and Mia is betrayed, both by her brother and her friend. she realizes that she has no one she could count on,and they are on bad path. she then leaves to start anew,leaving mc the money they made doing porn to help him star a new life as well. She writes a letter to mc explaining everything and expressing her wish that they both would become good people in time. That's really it and i wouldn't mind this kind of explenation in swm2,and then you wouldn't have to play part1

IDK How did I missed this....until now.

Overall If your don't care about reality, or the story in the game YOU GONNA LOVE THIS....because everything else is amazing!

I generally don't leave reviews for games that I really like that already have a number of them, but... I can't help myself with this one.

After reading some other reviews, I had some reservations about this game. Frankly, from what I'd read, the ending didn't strike my fancy. That said, bravo. On a side note, since this hits a number of my preferences, dear G-d how did I miss this one for so long?!

Story: There are many parts with "porn logic" or where "two girls that are knowingly banging the same guy, willingly, don't work that way", and a few contradictory story moments, but overall it's not bad. And for this genre the story vs. "content" ratio is fairly well balanced. While it's not the ending I dreamed of, it's definitely heart-felt, real, and in a dream world acceptable.

Content: It's a finished game, so yeah, content is there. With my policy of "saving on all choices and the start of all sex scenes" on a first play-through it just about maxes the save slots.

Renders: Yep, another DAZ. It's not the best, but it's still pretty good.: A-. It also has a number of animations: A. Some are a bit choppy, but the "loop points" are pretty good.

Playability: It's a VN. Some complain about the lack of choices; again, it's a VN. It has a story it wants to stick to. Where some others give you the illusion of a path, this one is honest. I don't see that as a detracting factor, since as above, the story is pretty damn good and sets it up for the coming sequel.

Sound: This is kind of awkward actually. It's where you can definitely tell that this game was made in stages. Early game, not much at all. Late game, it's everywhere and suitable for the scene. I really wish before calling this "complete" that the dev fixed the disparity.

Bugs: I didn't hit a typical one until the "end of game" scene where they play back images from the game with music. Not perfect, but A+.

Grammar/other bugs: There a number of places with spelling errors and where the speaker shown isn't who's actually speaking. As a native English speaker, I can figure out what should be there, and while it breaks the immersion a bit, it's far better than most.

In a nutshell? Definitely on my "all time favorites" list. I know the sequel is in work, I haven't played what's done yet, but I'm definitely looking forward to it.

Like other before me said the renders are very nice but what really kinda pisses me off you dont get any choices (i played the no ntr route) and it wouldnt be a problem if what the MC does wouldnt be so ridiculously dumb. the things the MC thinks are beyond retarded. as soon as the blackmailing starts in the story it just goes downhill and even before at the party where the drinks are spiked. and i dont understand the anal fixation of the MC.
Edit: the FMC suddenly wants a 500 $ dress and bc her parents dont want to give she accepts a job as a stripper from a creep on the street and you cant do anything against it uff

After playing this game i feel an agression i cant really describe i just want to kill someone probably the maker of this "wonderful" story

From the story perspective, it`s your basic hillbilly style son gets it on with big sis, mom and cucks dad. The problem is it just kind of veers about erratically, there is no solid buildup with good consistent character development like some of the other titles in this kink. It has inconsistency that aren't easy to see past!

The good part: Renders are fantastic, sex scenes are hot, and there's a ton of renders and content here. No grinding needed, since it's basically a visual novel!.

I liked playing this enough that I will play the sequel, just to see if the dev's improved on their story telling and writing.

I would have liked to give this more than 3 stars, but being honest it doesn't really deserve it.

Where to begin, as the story and characters, are pretty bad.
Lets start with the MC. Guy should be locked up, as he is a legit sex offender. . Mia is retarded, but she doesn't deserve a brother like this shithead. He is annoyingly stupid, has very little common sense, and cares about not one but himself. Felt like I was losing braincells just reading his inner monologue.
If Mia isn't certified retarded, she acts like she is, the way she falls for his shit, it's hard to feel sorry for her.
Her friend is a true Cunt. Kind of defines the statement, who needs enemies with friends like her?
Forced sharing and NTR. Not much else to say, except that this shit should always be avoidable.
No choices that matter. One ending and it is truly horrible. Nothing you can do to change or affect it in any way.
I liked the Mum, she was a halfway decent character. Sad she had such fucked up kids, but she is what kept me playing. Would have been too much to ask for an ending with her.
She isn't in the follow up game, so no reason to play that one I guess.
So avoid if you want an MC that is in any way a decent human, or don't like forced NTR and sharing, or would enjoy a story that actually makes sense in your AVN.

The story really crazy, lewd, and many feelings.
Models soo good and hot, specially mia she's super hot and lovely.
Some kinky stuff too not bad too.
Very RECOMMENDED.

I was fortunate to only discover Summer with Mia only after it'd been completed. Good solid graphics (I'm always picky about the lighting in these games, and there's no problems here), an intreaguing plot which doesn't go over the top but keeps you interested throughout as you're not entirely sure where to go. I also had a preference for games that aren't all that grindy, and there's no grind work here at all.

I have finally finished the story and I must say that I am both surprised and sad. Surprised because the story is well done here there are not 10 - 20 characters and on the other hand sad and disappointed because the story is far too linear. We notice directly that the MC is a young man who would like to dip his cookie. You could say that he is obsessed with it. The fact that his parents have gone on a trip will make his task easier. We also have your roommate's best friend, a nymph who likes to be shown off and your best friend (whom I don't like).
Realism is what I want in a story, SWM is the proof that even with a linear story it can be good and realistic. The characters are attractive, funny and well rendered. Although there aren't many of them, the different places are just as well done. Probably one of my favorite VNs so far.

Game started off promising, after playing the latest installment of EoL i was excited, but the game half way through just becomes absorbed by sex and the Mom is very unrealistic. Hot tho.

Honestly with the amount of rapey stuff the MC does its hard to enjoy playing as him. I think the biggest issue however is the ending. the game is literally called Summer with Mia. If there was going to be one ending, losing your relationship shouldnt be it. If the game has one ending where you pick a woman, it should be a choice. best bet would have been a harem ending.

You dont feel like you're being rewarded properly because not only do you lose mia, you end up in a relationship with your mom whilst the dad is still in play. he needed removing in the story at some point if this was the ending you were always stuck with.

Basically the ending with mia was too abruptly ended as if its being cut out finish up early, and the mom story didnt feel like it reached its conclusion.

Second Review (Second Playthrough)

Ah well finally played this game for the second time and maybe because I disabled NTR in this run the story played maybe a little differently. But I was wrong and though MC was pansy and an asshole he at least didn't rape Mia so I would be deleting that. I still loved the game and also almost cried at the end although this time my eyes watered up as the last part started as I knew what was to come. Ah yeah, the game is a linear VN but that makes sense considering the end.

I loved this wonderful game with superb renders and the end. I love visual novels and understand that sometimes the stories are simple as well. I had played this game a few months back and I still remember it fondly. But there's still a lot of story remaining and the end tells you why there were no multiple paths or endings etc. I literally cried at the end and I loved this game hated Emma.

Ahh this game was really hard to review for me because I had a lot of mixed emotions about this game and confusion after reading other reviews. I see a lot of people mentioning that the game changes a lot in the second half. I wanted to say I noticed that but I feel like I notice that a lot earlier than people mention and for different reasons.

The first half of the game definitely is enjoyable to click through and read. I am going to say "middle" of the game instead of "second half" because from reading what people say there is entirely a large turn of events in the game in the second half that I never got to get to. (Yes I only got to the "middle" of the game). About mid way through the game, I felt like I was just reading dialogue and waiting for the next blow job. The sex scenes really lost what they had in the beginning. I didn't really see any point in continuing except to possibly see "what the fuck happens next" but the game didn't show case anything that made me want to know what happened next. In fact, mid way through I thought I was near the ending and kept asking myself "when does it end?"

I won't say the game is bad because I do think the larger portion of the game that I did get to play was actually good and I just can't be bothered to finish it with how boring it is near the middle.

After reading other reviews it seems the second half of the game gets pretty crazy and just gets worse.

Yeah, that's a game! A perfect example of a good Novella, with lots of scenes(animated). The models are nice.Finally there are not many tedious dialogues. Your fetishes will be fully satisfied. 10/10

As far as fap material goes, this game provides all that and more. There is no shortage of content that'll fulfill what we're all looking for.

Looking at other comments, I don't really mind all the "lack of choices" given that this is a game more for pure enjoyment than actual grinding out money and whatever stats. As for Emma, I don't think she was all that annoying in the first half of the game and it was only towards the second half that we saw how twisted she was.

With regards to the other aspects of the game, it was rife with spelling/grammatical errors to say the least, some nastily egregious but nothing enough to hinder the overall experience. The ending though was also surprisingly emotional and made sense given all that had happened. All in all, I did enjoy the game and would play it again

This game is surprisingly good. I see some reviews bashing the game for not having choices but I actually liked that. Just dialogue lines and sex scenes, no grinding for stats or money, hardly any clicking looking for shit after the earlier parts, and game does enough good job developing the main characters and their relationship with MC, and even the ending took me by surprise. Would have preferred a typical harem ending, but seeing as there is a sequel in the works, I'm fine with something different that actually did makes sense and somehow fairly emotional. Emma is a great character btw.

Thats it the bad news are that this game could easily worth 5 stars but they managed to destroy it, look at the other games the 95% gives the player choices, anyway good to play for 1 time

This would be a great game if it wasn't for 1 character. Emma she is a truly despicable character, highly unlikable personality, she is basically the antagonist of the game, I haven't finished the game yet but she does need some kind of comeuppance the other characters in the game have likable personalities but EMMA is the absolute worst kind of person, cruel, manipulative & a bit of a sociopath

Let's separate game into two parts, like first half and the second.
I liked everything at the first half much more. More spicy, more funny. Just better.
At the second I started to hate Emma. Bitch. The writing, the story became...let's say not so cool. At some point I've felt like all content we're getting with Mia on this half is bj..bj...another bj...maybe the whole idea was to include another female char-r much more, then y, it worked. But still it's unclear if " Even with disabled sharing content I didn't like even the idea that Mia and thank the writer she changed her mind. Fckn Emma again.

I don't like drama in AVN. Had mixed feelings about the ending, but it felt interesting for a moment...a moment before I've started playing the sequel, 1st episode of which is out now....

Almost forgot Sam. And again, although we dont see him most of the time, it's pity devs dropped the idea with his gangsta talk. I fckn laughed at "dont blame da playa, blame da game" and all that shit he was pulling out of his sleeve

CONS:
- since second half of the game I believe devs didnt pay much attention to "who's dialogue line is that ?". A lot of times names not changed properly, aka Mia's calling Mia for dinner etc.
- No Gallery. It took shit tonn of pages at this game to save sex scenes. Even EoL has gallery, which is smaller project at first glance. Dudes, animations are really one of the best, idk ...there has to be a gallery. Most of the people coming for a wank. And there's no replay option.
- Also a lot of small mispelling errors, letter missing, wrong letter placements, double letters etc. I've played a lot AVN for last months and unfortunately I didn't see that many of these at other project. Not like it bites, but still noticable.

Overall I liked the game very much. It's pity how much time will it take to fully release 2nd game. But it will worth it I'm sure.

It is a great game!
Usually I am not that focused on animations, but everybody was saying how great they are. And indeed...there might be hours of hours of hard working and rendering to make them. I was truly impressed.

In my mind the story is very surprising and not like the most games are. It has a some content of ntr and cuckolding and I enjoyed this very much.
