it's self censorship as he was aiming for a certain rating for certain countries and failed from what I heard. but passed for Epic games store so probably won't revert the self censorship because of that.

Still confused by this move, because surely any rating he manages to achieve now, will be blown out of the water the second any sex actually happens. I mean it would go straight to X / XXX immediately.

I think it's cause Season 2 will be sold as a separate game technically as far as steam is concerned and not as dlc. but not sure tbh

What like get all the kids hooked on a PG13 rated SG-S1 and then BAM, leave them crying with the XXX rated SG-S2.
This is exactly what I am thinking.
Kids will think the whole game will be like Season 1.... only to then not be able to refund and are now stuck with a Season 1 of something they won't be finishing. But hey, as long as Ocean gets dat money, right?

nothing to be confused about, it's just to milk more money because "Frequent Nudity or Sexual Content" will get you more exposure than "Adults only" and steam automated system will promote it more i think, either way it doesn't matter since OppaiMan for example with all his milking the last year and a half is making fat bank on steam on "Adults only"! and like Dessolos said when he introduces season 2 years from now it'll be most likely a separate release

"Kids" go to the hub or use the hamster if they have an interest in adult content. A AVN is not really aimed at this target group.
The most and important reason for Ocean to avoid the "Adults Only" are the licenses of his music. As soon as music from Artlist is used in "Adult Only" content Artlist will revoke their licenses form Ocean and he's fucked - that means the music is gone and the money (>10k $/€) also. The additional reach is just a bonus.

Yeah, that status changed on Steam in the last half hour. The release date went from "less than an hour" (on 10 May) to "coming soon"

S1 is rated PG16, just so you know
in terms of sexual content, between PG12 and PG16 there is a huge gap

same exact thing happened with the release of Fate and Life lately and few other AVNs i bought on release, kept waiting the timer to reveal the buy option to no avail, if i remember correctly it took awhile but can't remember exactly how much, this only happened with me when buying "Adults only" titles, other types of games i bought the buying option shows when the timer expiresYeah, that status changed on Steam in the last half hour.
