Melanie has a birth mark / beauty mark? whatever you call it, facial mole, on her face though.
I tried very hard to look back at screenshots of the pizza/bus girl, and even with the hair blocking somewhat near part of that face, it's thin enough that you might be able to see it on close up of renders, but it's not there. Definitely don't think it's Melanie, unless the attention to detail was missed, but I feel attention to detail is pretty well done / intentional so far, so I doubt it's her.

I don't think they are going to reveal until mid season 2. Bella thinks that the sister is after her because of her mothers fame. Sisters are both nuts I wouldn't be surprise this has to do with Melanie asking her sister to destroy her.

Could be but i think she is referring to an ex or something, she doesn´t know Nika enough, she could be attracted to him if she finds him cute or interesting but those things she said have some past, i think she had a past with a guy in other social class and her family forced her to leave him, maybe that´s why she could be attracted to Nika.

You keep saying this and it keeps leaving me baffled.

How in God's green Earth can you go from the starting point in the relationship with Nami to the "change in perception" and the "race with impossible odds" without all the cut content? Nothing was added. And you cut the most important bits of intimacy and meaningful relationship progression between them. So how does it make sense to you??? It's like getting from the point of meeting each other to getting married without all the dating.

Keep in mind I haven't played the Steam release. I just glanced at the renders and script. So it's utterly confusing to me how anyone can make sense of their relationship evolution. Considering there is no physical intimacy after her finding out about Nick. No going too far and kissing after spending the night together and no jacuzzi scene. HOW DOES IT MAKE SENSE?!?!!?

The pacing of Nami's path feels better me. Before, I felt like she was forcing herself on Nika, everything was intense, the football hulk arms at every moment. Okay, I'm exaggerating, but as a character, I liked her humour, but she felt exaggerated. Everything was too fast, too intense. As his most trusted person, she didn't really show much reason to trust her, she was like a loose cannon, I half expected her to get distracted at every moment. Too hyper for me. Now her darker/shy side is visible before the impossible race. There are times when she gives Nika reasons to trust her, that weren't there before in the same way.

It's mostly the pacing of things. Placing season 1 for the first time I actually felt drawn to her character and wondered why she was saying certain things.

I certainly think the change of perception in previous versions didn't make sense - Nika let's her grind on him, he had a chub at the lake, and those things aren't reasons to re-evaluated? Simply letting her grind would be starting the race, right there. It's way too over the top for Nika, who was just arguing why he doesn't want to hear about Nami's lady parts.

There is still the cuddling and nuzzling prior to that, but it feels comfortable, and shows Nika as comfortable with her. It also makes Noji's prohibitions/prejudice seem tyrannical, as there is nothing 'weird' going on, they just have a close bond. The race starting with a kiss, rather than grinding then a kiss, it feels like it takes a step down, because Nami was escalting it too quickly. Nika should be having a panic attack, especially as Nami's basically rocking one herself.

I know you're not feeling based on what's been cut, but give season 1 a playthough, it feels different to me than before, and not just the cuts. Also, some of the reworked Ch2 stuff really adds to her character - the first basketball game really shows her care, and reflects on the way she wants to help him with the first team, but Zara holds her back.

TLDR: I feel she's better balanced than before, more rounded as a character (not as a model thankfully)

I'm just not sure Nika would interact will Mila the same in our "alternate scenario" without Nami's presence on that first day. You mention Nika first met Mila with Trey, but he also abandoned them moments later without warning. i still contend - no Nami, no Nika joining the group on the sports field.

Mila would talk to him at ZPR and it’s safe to assume they’d hang out more together from there. I don’t see why it would be too different than the original game in this regard.

Both Jeff and Mila recognize that Nika is broken and sympathize because of that. Yet, if Nika interacted with them alone initially and gave them the cold shoulder treatment, at what point would Jeff and Mila just say, "F^^k this!" and stay away from him?

...and, yes, I know this is only a game and we are discussing hypotheticals. Nevertheless, this conversation is pushing me toward a greater appreciation of Nami, no matter what (as yet undeclared) bad shit she did in the past.

While Nami nudges him especially in the start Nika never needed any handholding from her when conducting himself with people (except when he blurts out some rude stuff). Things would *mostly* stay unchanged in his interactions.
By the end of season 1 Nika doesn’t need Nami as much as he did in the start and it’s been mostly because of his own efforts.
I assume this is gonna be a plot point in the future, Nami feeling like she’s not needed anymore. She already expresses dissatisfaction over him spending time with Bella instead of her. It’s related to her huge possessiveness and jealousy, she stares daggers at the other girls many times.

In the dark path Nami probably would try to hurt the girls Nika is dating but in this new SG i think she will try to manipulate a little the environment and maybe even try to become Nika how he was before? Like trying to take back his lonely behaviour,a little. I don´t know, Nami loves Nika and cares about him so much but when her inner real behaviour appear... Who knows what can happen.

She was simply commenting on the book and expressing her thoughts I think. We don’t have any proof for this theory. Coincidentally it was about adding some foreshadowing for their future relationship, most likely.
I certainly hope it’s not the case! Don’t wanna hear Sasha talk about some ex.
But I’d listen to her *up to a point*. She’s still my girl, you know.

She might try to ruin his standing with the girls and isolate him so that she can have him all to herself. It would be extremely immoral but she might cross that line for him. We know she did the 'dirty' on Nika in the past. We don't know exactly what that was yet, but Nika tells her he doesn't want her to revert to the (bad) person she once was, and betray his trust again.

All through Season 1, it seems Nami is winning that battle and she hasn't reverted to the way she apparently used to be. She supports Nika, abet hesitantly on the Bella path, and does shoot daggers at female rivals, but she hasn't actively sabotaged anything yet. What will she do in the future, though?

This actually brings me to an example of the limitation/weakness with this type of player choice-driven AVN...

Fair enough. I completely disagree with you on all points but I respect your perspective.

I can't play this release. Not without heavy mods. The basis of my fondness for SG is precisely Nami and the MC's relationship. And that was utterly gutted in this version. I don't want this awful version to be my canon going into S2. So I'll stick with the Beta with all scenes restored.

Yeah, nothing we can know to the 100% right now, but i think the uncertainty could provide two scenarios:

1- Nami doesn´t become in the bad person she was before, we don´t know how exactly she was but we know she hurted Nika, and Nika being hurted is something to consider. She will continue looking bad to other girls if Nika gets closer to them but she prepends Nika´s healing first and nothing "bad" happen.

2- Nami tries to convince Nika to stop going out so much (she is doing this now, she is concerned now about Nika going out too much, for example to the farm party, i want to believe she just want to be sure all of this isn´t bad for Nika but... What if she is getting jelous and start to see that maybe is not good for her wishes to have a social Nika?). She starts speaking bad about other girls, maybe she exagerates situations in her favor or even try to create situations with other girls where she ends being the victim to achieve that Nika stay in her side and he gets angry with the other persons involved, leading to a situaion where Nika starts to pass more and more time with her, forgetting about the other girls.

But of course without us knowing about Nami past and how she was before we only can speculate... We don´t know how manipulative is she and we don´t know what are her real habilities, something important to know because we could get closer to real scenarios knowing it.

At least on this particular render her head does seem a bit too large for her body. I'd have to see more renders and possibly a full body render to be sure though.
This could very well be a single render where the position of her head or the camera angle and zoom level or all of them combined make it seem larger than it is on other renders.
I haven't played the new version yet and I don't remember enough from the last time I played the game. So I'm not going to make a final judgement at this point yet.
