Did Ocean redo the book club scene in the Steam version? Previously, this scene was just a quick introduction to new characters.
Haven't played a different version, can't tell. Define quick...I wasn't long, but I wouldn't say it was quick. Had many many interesting plot points.

When you wrote that the book club scene was the most informative, I thought that Ocean changed it in the Steam version (which I haven't seen) and added something. Apparently I was mistaken and misunderstood you.

With that scene added it is clear now that this VN has an almost unmanageable amount of characters where many groups of them could have a separate VN.

Am I the only one who finds, that the book club part was so far the most informative, most interesting and best part of Season 1? Especially if one plays WiaB as well.
Interesting... Did you realize that the book club is the same religious organization that Leah is talking about in WIAB?

I haven't paid much attention to it, it turns out Dani's face is much more wrinkled than Amber's, even though they are the same age.
Good maintenance or genes :) ...and also, we're assuming the connection. It might not be Dani, but someone else using the same nickname for Amber - we only know the nickname because her whole group of friends know it, but what if not than just her college class use the nickname?

I'm more interested in how he'll handle the fact that season 2 won't be on Steam from a PR point of view. Apparently, he got strong sales and very good reviews; this alone is a strong incentive to keep season 2 also on Steam.

Not to mention that people on Steam want to pay once and enjoy the game. That's quite the opposite of a crowdfunding system. That's why I see little overlap between the two markets.

On the other side, if he sticks to the 'soft porn' route for Steam and forces it also on those who are funding him on Patreon, I can see a lot of dissatisfied supporters leaving him, which -again- will be bad for business. The fact that he decided to 'censor' Season 1 seems to already have backfired a lot, at least judging from the reactions here.
As other people have already mentioned Season 2 will be on steam, just sold as 18+, it's only matter in Germany where steam geoblocks it. Everywhere else, you'll be able to see it if you're settings allow sexual content. People on Steam are by now used to buying AVN's as seasons, and a lot of mainstream games have DLCs that they sell as season passes.

Ocean won't stick to the soft porn. WiaB is already planned as an 18+ release on steam, so once that's available, we'll see how the marketing of it goes. It also means Ocean will get to learn from that release for the Season 2 release, and dealing with the steam app reviews as fully adult.

Season 2 steam will be 18+, it will not be available on epic and gog.
Gog sells 18+ games and even adult patches for the games. It does geoblock 18+ games in Germany like Steam, but it'll be there for everyone else. It won't be available on Epic though, as they don't do full adult titles apparently.

Loved the book club for all the subtle info. It certainly tells me the game won't be lightweight - I think more and more tensions will develop. It'll certainly be interesting. I don't know if you've done multiple paths, but if you've played Bella's path, I'd suggest you play Nami and Mila's paths to get more info - not everything can be discovered on one path.

Interesting... Did you realize that the book club is the same religious organization that Leah is talking about in WIAB?
Interesting idea, I had suspected Kelly of being connected, and possibly Charlie, but do you really think Leia and Katie would be going to a bookclub that's a front for the religious group? Also, Kelly seems to be almost universally unliked there, everyone tells her to shut up and drink more wine.

emilia "Would you look at that."
emilia "A Zane is blessing us with her presence."
emilia "How's William?"
scene sb881 with dssa
katie "You should ask him that."
scene sb882 with dssr
emilia "I wonder why you're here."
emilia "It's been a year since you and Leia last came by."
scene sb883 with dssa
emilia "Is she here?"
scene sb884 with dssa
katie "No."

I play with mod, so I have seen all. The only thing the mod does not count if you don't go to the Holgerson's, the cuffs without Bella is skipped. Else you get all scenes. Yes, all those subtle hints are masterfully done. The realization at the end with Sasha, now that is some heavy info about her no one knew.

Sasha? The heavy info I saw at the end was Bella talking to her comatose sister. Did I miss something?
