In a more serious note, I think Riri is meant to be a trap for William set by Leia in WiaB. I'm just going to wait for more obvious clues in an actual update before guessing whether Riri is the mastermind that sent Miru to guide William all those years ago so she could confuse us about her current non presence in SG. Or something.

Even the character of "Vic" was inspired by that movie and by how Vic story is progressing , i wouldn't be surprise if she says to the Mc "that she doesn't care about jewels"

Ocean's specifically made this question unknown, so every guess is just that. At some point, we'll know, probably at the time Nika finds out.
Keep in mind that the old WiaB is no longer canon, and we don't know what revelations there are for William and Leia. Anything could happen. Nika does remember the sound of his mother's voice though, and Noji was only looking after them from the ages of 3 and 4 (Nami is older). Nika also supposedly remembers someone he thinks is his uncle. We haven't seen all the characters that Ocean has planned for WiaB, Nika and Nami could be children of the Zane's enemies, there could be all kinds of things yet to find out. There could even be a couple that William meets called Cyrus. Most likely, Ocean will keep the secret until near the end as long as he can stretch it out, because people love secrets.
But Ocean is also not foolish enough to risk any scent of incest near his earning game (SG) after WiaB's patreon got shut. Doesn't matter what people on the internet say or think, Ocean's not going to risk his income.
You forget that I enjoyed Season 1 despite the issues. The mental gymnastics are a way to help me stay awake between updates, you know thattalking about bad design and bad writing "Did You Forgot Season 1" Already?.

For some reason she hides from them whatever she knows.
While playing, I was thinking that Sasha and her friend actually know Nika but for some reason he doesn't remember them? What if he caused Sasha's scar, ended up in a hospital during the altercation (that flashback) and lost some memories in the process? Or maybe someone important (from WIAB?) asked Sasha and her friend to look after him 'cause I don't believe it's a coincidence how they are around him sometimes and also Sasha having those pills on her that Nika needs.

Only problem thing with Sasha being Nika's guardian angel and knowing everything, is that she recognises Nami's earring, and as a Petrova, she knows whose earrings they were originally (as she has one) ...but she has no knowledge of Nami having a connection and it puzzles her. I'd find it hard to believe she knows Nika's medical history, but doesn't know about Nami's earring (most likely, she carries them for Robin or herself - the time she calms Robin down in the locker room suggests they're not all that stable). The thing about knowing Nika from before, well there's plenty of indications - the way Nika almost recognises something about her, the way she cryptically says maybe he dis deserve it, the way she cryptically says she'd rather not say if she's trying to kill him... my guess is Sasha's popularity is partially because of her mystery and always seeming to be in the background. The charlie's angels vibe when she's walking with her posse is a cute touch though.

I'm thinking that Sasha's task in this case was to look after Nika and the interest in Nami's earring is her own. She is curious because I bet the woman who gave Nami the earring never told anyone why she did it and what it means.

Honestly it seems right up his wheelhouse. Ocean is 100% the type of "writer" to gives us the Arrival DLC, let us watch how the destruction of a single mass relay wipes out an entire Batarian system and have multiple endings where all the mass relays in the galaxy blow up while ignoring the damage that would have caused. Trillions of lives lost, planets and star systems gone for good and all the survivors stranded forever wherever they are. Poor Reapers couldn't even dream of doing 1% of the damage that Shepard did to the galaxy.
Ocean could totally write for Bioware! He is as much of a fan of narrative logic as they are.

I can't imagine that someone stole Leia's earrings and then gave them to Sasha and Nami (*WiaB update drops and Krayt break in and steal the earrings, leaving behind more spiders to sow maximum confusion*). I'm kinda against the whole college being in on Nika's situation like it's the Truman Show though. It is likely that Sasha and Ayua have some sort of idea of what might be going on, but remember that Stefan's sister was(is still?) Katie's gf, and Emilio worked for Leia. If both of those people who were at one point close to the Zanes don't know any Cyrus' or only have the faintest suspicion, the powers that be would tell Sasha everything she needed to know, so that she doesn't alert Nika or Nami to anything going on behind the scenes. But, on the other hand, Sasha is almost like a harbinger of doom reminding Nika he can't escape his fate.

Haven't played WIAB but Emilio did ask Desiree to do a background check on Nika and whether Sasha was indeed tasked with looking after Nika or she has personal reasons, so far it didn't look like she's planning to tell him anything considering that sometimes it looked like she dislikes him.remember that Stefan's sister was(is still?) I'm mainly thinking of the ppoint where Ayua stops Sasha from interrogating Nami about the earring, which is 100% natural for Sasha to wonder about. She must have seen photos or seen Leia wearing them when she was little, considering the connection that exists between their families (well, in old WiaB at least it was hinted, new WiaB I guess will be much the same about that point ...once we get that far into the story). so she's probably wondering not just why Leia gave Nami one, and whether she's truly a stranger.
Ayua cuts off that questioning, but is that because she knows more? I guess this is why I'm keen to see the scene in Ayua's martial arts studio, I suspect there will be some clues revealed.
I always got the impression that it was more like a Ocean "Fuck you reader" than a Ayua "Fuck you reader"
like a basketball could have hit sasha instead of ayua appearing for example too.It appears strange to me that ayua would watch nami like a hawk the whole day to jump in case sasha and nami randomly talk about the earring ... wouldnt it make more sense to just tell sasha before to not do that?
