She's surely a big woman. Not my preference but she looks human, proportional for the weight she's carrying around her bone structure. If Mila looked something close to that, I wouldn't say that she doesn't look normal, but she doesn't.

Mila looks better directly from the front, but her body in profile is the worst. There you can see how wrong her posture is.

I understand the complains and is not like I don't have some myself, but I have to ask, are we not holding Ocean to a impossible standard ? Not only for a AVN but for storytelling altogether ? Even the best of media has its flaws, even when they are trying to portray USA or another country, and although is a bit cheap, as was mention a million times, Wollust is not a american or a European city. The rules of it is Ocean's to make. Some of it is porn logic, sure, Katie goes to college with a dominatrix outfit for god sake, some of it is just short cuts, like the sport thing. Is it the best of worldbuildings ? No. Ideally the plot would serve the world not the world the plot but is it a deal breaker ? I don't think so.
I guess my question about all the sports stuff is....why? He's invented a truly mind boggling and absurd sports system/league for....reasons? Sports already exist. The systems for how they work, who plays them, when, why, etc. all exist. I just don't understand why this character and story focused VN has this tangent involving bizarro world sports.

On another note, I'm noticing that chapter 5 has far more typos/grammar/editing issues than the rest of the game. I'm used to seeing stuff like that get better over time, not worse.

Well why is simply because Ocean wanted it that way, for whatever reasons he thought it would fit the story better and for a creative point of view it gives him more freedom than operate in a more realistic manner. Is simply like that, there is not a secret reason. Why the good guy is only hit on non vital places ?

You can't tell a story about the return of a basketball prodigy if you take a real system from America

You work for a sports team in college while you're in high school and whether you get in or not is verified when you apply based on your high school achievements. Nika couldn't because he was Emo and didn't give a damn about sports

So without this system
Meeting buddies on the way to achieving his goal to the dump
Lewdable Hill and possibly Lewdable Coate to the dump
Dwight being the captain of your team and possible drama with Sasha when you're messing with her to the dump
Drama with Nicole when you start sleeping with girls who fell for the charm of a basketball prodigy to the dump
The whole storyline with Katie Zane and her plan for the dumpster

So the reason is that his weird system supports his story

I don't understand what you mean you work for a sports team in college while you're in high school. Whether you are part of a college team is not determined by high school achievements.

Walk-Ons are a thing in college. Anybody at all can just show up and try to make the team. Depending on the sport, and the school, most of the players on a team will be walk-ons. So yes, you could absolutely tell the same story without inventing such an insane system.

I think you may be falling into the same trap Ocean has. It seems to me that your perception of how sports at the college level in America work is based on guesses.

You are missing the point. SG does not take place in America and its world serves the story. I get what you are saying but what you are saying does not be work here. Is like saying that incest does not works like GRRM wrote it. Yeah, it does not. The point is not how incest works over 300 years but what it makes for the story.

I fully got and accepted your point. My latest reply was not you. dameromexxx made the specific claim that the real way sports work in college would not allow SG's story. I was pointing out that is incorrect.

Also, incest does work like GRRM wrote it. In that...it works. A male and female have sex and produce offspring. What are we talking about here? Are you under the impression that siblings having children guarantees birth defects on the first generation?

The real world way sports work in America. You assume that SG takes place in a country that is does not.

No, but you also missed the 300 years part. Incest is not much harmful in the first generations but it does not take long to show why evolution worked so hard to keeping you from fucking your sister. Granted we have historial exemples of long and incestuous dynasties but it also is not the most smart thing to do if you don't want some Charles II of Spain popping up in your family tree

Thanks it's always fun to learn something but can you tell me if any of these colleges have as their main patron the owner of the local brothel? And their own modeling agency? Wollust has the Porn filter turned on and gaining Hill's recognition taking part in this whole three-team game is more important for this game whether it's crazy or not

Again, the conversation had moved on. My reply was *specifically* to a post that said *America's* system would not work. You do not need to keep repeating yourself. As I said, I'm fully keeping up with, and reading the conversations I get involved in.

I clearly missed some branches of SG, because I never encountered anything about a brothel. I also completely ignored Hill. Though impressing a coach as a walk-on would make perfect sense without inventing a new way to do sports.

Just to preempt LHDLLB, I get it. The real answer is Ocean wanted it this way, so it is this way. That's how being an author works. I'm just pointing out how unnecessary and strange it all is.

That is fine, sorry if I was annoying. More like you missed a whole game, he is talking about WiaB. Regarding SG story, we don't really know much about it so some Ocean choices might see strange to us until we know more about it or he just get lazy and went the esaier way.

Ah. I haven't played WiaB. I'm starting it currently. I've become sort of fascinated by the weird choices he makes. I think his dialog is pretty well written, and most of the characters are well done. That's why I find all the weird stuff so interesting. None of it makes any sense and it's like looking at a car crash. I just can't stop looking at it.

Sure, but the whole story of the ongoing battle between coaches over positions on a given team and school officials giving support to individual coaches would be harder to do. Not to mention the further development of the situation, how Coate will react to Stahl and Hill people, especially if they test her team hard in the sparring.

Only Ocean knows what will happen next and what he really needs to be able to tell some of his stories.

For now, all we can say is that he stretches his fictional reality in such a way as to fit his story into it.

Man I should not have clicked on that second spoiler tag... I should really NOT have clicked that second spoiler tag...fuck me.

My body's violent reaction to that render now has me concerned about playing the game moving forward. Jesus Christ in heaven. It's like going from cute kitten videos to watching someone get decapitated and disemboweled at the same time.

Gonna work on purging this devlog from my brain... Math and unclothed Mila - 2/10:sick:
What are you doing here? go back to grandam house and play that shit!

Perhaps adding the Fantasy and Sci-Fi tags might assuage some of the world-building criticisms? /s

The SG setting screams High School more than College, but, of course, it can't be a High School, oh, no, no, no, because of the age of students...

I accept using suspension of disbelief on elements of the world-building I consider minutiae, but that does make it hard to find the really out-of-place plot points worthy of attention. For example, detentions in college simply being part of how things are done in Wollust versus two kids casually walking in half a day the equivalent of a six-hour (at minimum) car drive. The former has no real bearing or effect on the main story arc, but the latter possibly does [we don't know yet if the six-hour conundrum is a plot hole or a plot element yet to be explained, i.e. maybe some of Nika's memories presented to the player are a construct he created to block out a darker reality and maybe there really are two lakes]. The old saying, "...can't see the wood for the trees" is really apt for SG for two reasons. 1. players getting caught up in trival minutiae can't "see the wood for the trees." 2. Sloppy world-building by Ocean makes it difficult for players to see "the wood for the trees".

It would be hoot, but out of character for Ocean to "hang a lantern" on some of these Wollustisms. Imagine a brief, but casual conversation between Nika and a foreign student in the hallway of the college... Foreign Student: "Man! Your whole college basketball system is not how it works where I come from". Nika: "We ain't in America, Dorothy".

Mila tells Nika that her family is dirt poor. Perhaps she didn't reveal they were middle class until she insisted on her BBL surgery. Man, Mila must've had some serious fat on her belly and thighs before the procedure. /s.

Oh, yes. Alexandra Daddario is a living goddess, but the other girl also looks pretty good compared to Mila's profile. I wouldn't have probably even mentioned Mila's new looks, would she look something close to that.

On that Mila render the camera angle actually makes her look worse than she is, just like on that first full render of her in the game.
I just put her side-by-side with this girl and rotated the image counter-clockwise, turning the walls of the room vertical. Mila instantly started to look a tiny bit better.
Then I took the liberty to try to roughly adjust her body into something more natural, considering how large an ass can grow without getting significantly fatter in the middle and how much such soft tissue would be affected by gravity.
After lowering her rear spoiler, I also made her a tiny bit thicker in the middle considering the trunk size she still has after adjustment.
Then I pulled her balloon boobs a tiny bit lower and flatter, leaving them still very large and perky (considering the girls talk about her connective tissue wonders).
Then I realized that her center of mass would still make her tip over, so I also adjusted her posture, considering the mass in front.

It's still a very rough and quick "shopping" job (I used GIMP) and she is still a big girl, but she already started to look more human than the original centaur and much better than on the original render, IMHO
