Bro, you just nailed it. I've been following this thread for a few years and I've never heard anyone call the game Boner's Gone or Summer's Garbage.

The mix of sex worker and personality. I mean a person who threw herselves into that environment to fill a lack of affection, I can't see any happy ending for her.

Thank you! Yes I hate what she does and I have 0 respect for it but it somehow isn't her worst trait. Even though being a camwhore automatically disqualifies her as an LI for me, her personality is almost as bad as her job. She is awkward in an annoying way. I think Ocean missed the mark on making her awkwardness and lack of social skills endearing. She is just too much from the get-go for me.
And it gets worse because Ocean's attempt at making us feel sympathy/empathy for her with the Summer story, is as subtle as a bull on a china shop. Plus it even makes me more hostile against her because I have fucking loathed Summer since I first started playing this game. It's not easy to make me hate a character so quickly but Ocean did it with the introductions of Summer and Zara.
It still makes very little sense how Summer can be such an unabashed cunt towards the MC, Elsa and Nami as a freaking child yet go out of her way to be super nice to a random girl she doesn't know. That is, of course, only explained by Ocean's lack of continuity in any of his writing. He clearly saw some negative feedback to Summer's personality and tried to course correct in a later update. Which we all know he's gonna keep doing until the very end of the VN. Sadly, I fucking hate retcons.

Sure Summer and Zara didn't try to kill the MC upon meeting him, didn't lie to him his entire life, betray his trust in every conceivable way or got into a fake relationship with him based on a lie but still, there is no shortage of awful personality traits. Cuntiness and arrogance are dealbreakers for me, sorry

True! Difference is, in my perspective, characters like Bella and Vanessa folded almost instantly. They don't even bother hiding that their attitude is a façade or a part they're playing. It's hard to hate them when their intentions are that transparent.

Played it like a dozen times already and been liking her less and less with each new playthrough.
Best thing about Nia is that you can avoid most of her content if you don't go to the gym with Nami and don't agree to go to her place. Zara is forced upon you. I feel so sorry for Bella haters
I can't even muster up some excitement for the next release because the previews made it clear there's gonna be a lot of Zara
