You know what’s really unpleasant? It’s not even that all our LOGICAL theories about who’s who can be thrown in the trash. The worst part is when the crap from WIAB starts surfacing in SG. Before, there was intrigue in the book club, mysterious characters—but now it’s all just a mafia. You can explain any ridiculous plot twists with the mafia. Nikki and Nami’s parents really died, none of the Zane family or others are related to them—as I wrote before, they’re "children of war," like some from WIAB. And Summer was just shoved into another box because Nikki isn’t from that mafia. No more intrigue, no more theories.

I like this game. I came for pussy, but stayed for the writing. That said, an entire season without a single sex scene is actually nuts for a porn game. Give us pussy, Oceanlab.

And thats totally fair. You came in later, thats not your baseline for the game. But when it comes to why incest is such a recurring topic within the fandom, that is why. Especially when there is the narrative weirdness with Nami, because Ocean has tried to keep as much of character history intact as he can with the reworking of the script to meet Patreon guidelines.

I'm good either way. I'm more about the character/personality, rather than their relationship to the MC. The incest stuff is more "the setting" to me, if that makes sense.

I felt the incest stuff was much better built into pre-rework-WiaB and the character histories there, and I kinda prefer that version of the game's lore. But I also never engaged much with it, because I didn't like the idea of being a cheater.
I started playing this game early this year, I think. Still very recently, regardless.
I have played games with incest, one of my favourites has that as a regular part of that world, but if the game is set in our world, I don´t like it. IF it´s a made up world with it´s own rules, I can go with it.
I always assumed Nika and Nami were childhood friends living with Nojiko for reasons that I don´t remember. Never thought of them as siblings, again, because it´s set in the real world and that is weird for me to think about.

I honestly have no problem with removing incest from the game, but Ocean should decide to remove all references to it: Give Nika and Nami two different surnames as well as define their relationship as two people who have the same legal guardian. Otherwise rewrite Nojiko so that she is actually a landlady and not a "mom"
Never noticed if they had the same last names.
And wouldn´t that take more reworks? Hasn´t this game already had a lot of them?

there is 20 years separating the game. You don’t know what development occurred, in that period, what changed. You have no clue about the book club. You just assume and think you had it all figured out because of the new intrigue introduced in chapter 4. Not everyone is mafia.

As for the mafia thing, it gives a new perspective in SG about Nika beyond the former retarded theories that he’s just Leia and Wiliam son and the worst thing about was that William and Leia were blood siblings.

I don’t think Noji, Amber, Claire, are mafia. Do you?

If Noji is in Miru's family, she's definitely whatever kind of criminal Miru is (Yakuza or Ninja, most likely), but probably a civilian. Here's a thought: maybe taking in the kids was her price for leaving the crime world?

Holy shit, is my ignore list exploding today. Fucking hell....

This game’s been out for like 6 or 7 years with almost no content — yet you’re all still here every day, arguing and calling each other clowns… while playing the same game that hasn’t gone anywhere. And it’s already had two remakes, lol.
The dev started a remake, then randomly decided to change everyone’s looks halfway through . I guarantee after the next update, it’ll take another 2 years, and he’ll probably remake everything again. Meanwhile, y’all are growing old like grandpas, still here celebrating every 30-minute yearly update like it’s a amazing.

No clue if you played it, but we see Noji at one point. She didn't know them. And called them weirdo lol.
As for the criminal world, I'm convinced, a lot have changed. For example, the gay barber, who seem to be Leia's inner entourage, ended up as a barber in Wollust. He still has some connection to the underworld, but still. Since SG theme is different, I don't think the mafia 'if there's still any) will play a huge role in the story.

Edit: Added you in since I replied to something replying to you:

We find out at the end of the WiaB update that th feds don't know who Miru is. We also find out she's Willi's sugar mommy. It's no longer his adult novels that fund their lifestyle. We have Riri, who is like a Miru figure for Leia, and we have Noji who seems like whe's not connected at all. But then we see young Amber, who has just done a road trip after finishing her leaving. So we'll find out how Noji gets to know Amber and the others in the book club via WiaB maybe. The reply below has more detail about what Noji might or might not have done. Additionally to that, Noji worked with Scarlet. Likely we'll see how that pans out, and that's how she gets involved with the Zanes.

No clue if you played it, but we see Noji at one point. She didn't know them. And called them weirdo lol.

I actually do think it will, more so than before. Noji's in WiaB not just as fan service is what I assume, therefore it's safe to assume that Nika and Nami are mafia offspring like Leia and Willi were. Except they're the next generation. Maybe the families have settled down after the result of all the drama we've seen established in WiaB. That could mean that Nika and Nami have been raised by Noji apart from the mafia families to keep them free of those entanglements. It also might mean that Revera is a mafia family looking to move in on new turf, and we see (I think) Elena with Amber in Leia's club, and Dani. If that's Elena, maybe part of ZPR is how the Zane's expand their family by building alliances with the Petrovas and Reveras. Nika and Nami would have the same relationship taboos that Willi and Katie have, because of their importance to the family, even if kept hidden, so it's very much a Romeo and Juliet thing.

Personally I think that it would be enough to just change some dialogues regarding the relationship between Nami and Nika

So Nami and Nika Nikki can't be together because the mafia decided it, once again

Nojiko is always right, she lies as easily as she will breathe, but she is always right
