He still has some connection to the underworld, but still. Since SG theme is different, I don't think the mafia 'if there's still any) will play a huge role in the story.

This game’s been out for like 6 or 7 years with almost no content — yet you’re all still here every day, arguing and calling each other clowns… while playing the same game that hasn’t gone anywhere. And it’s already had two remakes, lol.
The dev started a remake, then randomly decided to change everyone’s looks halfway through . I guarantee after the next update, it’ll take another 2 years, and he’ll probably remake everything again. We find out at the end of the WiaB update that th feds don't know who Miru is. We also find out she's Willi's sugar mommy. It's no longer his adult novels that fund their lifestyle. We have Riri, who is like a Miru figure for Leia, and we have Noji who seems like whe's not connected at all. But then we see young Amber, who has just done a road trip after finishing her leaving. So we'll find out how Noji gets to know Amber and the others in the book club via WiaB maybe. The reply below has more detail about what Noji might or might not have done. Additionally to that, Noji worked with Scarlet. Likely we'll see how that pans out, and that's how she gets involved with the Zanes.

I actually do think it will, more so than before. Noji's in WiaB not just as fan service is what I assume, therefore it's safe to assume that Nika and Nami are mafia offspring like Leia and Willi were. Except they're the next generation. Maybe the families have settled down after the result of all the drama we've seen established in WiaB. That could mean that Nika and Nami have been raised by Noji apart from the mafia families to keep them free of those entanglements. It also might mean that Revera is a mafia family looking to move in on new turf, and we see (I think) Elena with Amber in Leia's club, and Dani. If that's Elena, maybe part of ZPR is how the Zane's expand their family by building alliances with the Petrovas and Reveras. Nika and Nami would have the same relationship taboos that Willi and Katie have, because of their importance to the family, even if kept hidden, so it's very much a Romeo and Juliet thing.

You know what’s really unpleasant? It’s not even that all our LOGICAL theories about who’s who can be thrown in the trash. The worst part is when the crap from WIAB starts surfacing in SG. Before, there was intrigue in the book club, mysterious characters—but now it’s all just a mafia. You can explain any ridiculous plot twists with the mafia. Nikki and Nami’s parents really died, none of the Zane family or others are related to them—as I wrote before, they’re "children of war," like some from WIAB. And Summer was just shoved into another box because Nikki isn’t from that mafia. No more intrigue, no more theories.

The same ones who decree that they can't be together because Zane, and useful as pawns for alliances, don't consider Zane; Leia must not have power because she is considered a Pedersoli and Willy must be exiled/punished not for his escape but for the feud with the Grimaldis

I think you're right with that. Th race against impossible odds also means in some fashion they know they're not supposed to get involved or there will be consequences, which means they are to some extent aware of their actual background, if that's what the situation is. And that's why Noji would be so concerned about them getting involved even if unrelated - she's the one putting her neck on the chopping block to keep them out of the family business to have a normal life it seems. That also makes Noji's tension with Katie obvious, and Katie's interest in Nika and Nami. Also, as of right now, Nika could be Willi and Leia's son with no consequences patreon wise.

We know Katie IS a genuine Zane. We know she's Ayua's aunt. The easiest way is for Willi to be made a Zane. There's a couple of spots where Willi uses a hyphenated surname introducing himself right? Or was it Leia? One or other used the Zane name after their actual family name.

This is what I said last time. Not everyone is Mafia. Sobert is not, Dana is not, Gina is not (though you can argue she is gang related through her brother), Zoey is not ect... It's not because someone know a person connected to the mafia that they are.

Leia state that only asavera and the Krayt gang may be a threat, hence why she works to ally with them for business instead of war. Petrova or Revera have yet to appear, and they aren't necessary a mafia family. Generally, mafia have various legit business.

The plot is to understand who are going against the powerful Zane family, being so bold to attack them in their own house.

As for Nika, again, the gay barber doesn't recognize him and is digging his past only to protect Bella "just in case". Considering he was in Leia's inner entourage, I feel like if he finds something already can spoil the intrigue around Nika and Nami. And yet, I still feel the mafia thing isn't going to be central at all.

Yep finished the update - my comments should have displayed that knowledge. So a couple of things we learned:

- Willi has the idea to start a university.
- Amber is there partying in the VIP section of the club, not the section where the MOR students are. So Amber, Elena, Dani and brunette (NIck's ex-future wife?) are considered safe in the VIP section where we have the Iranian couple appear after Leia talks about arms deals with Iran. At very least, these students are considered safe to have around int he VIP section where Leia brings her contacts and does contracts.
- I'm not suggesting they are all mafia, but there's nothing saying that William/Leia don't build a rival power structure to that represented by the old power of the families. THat why Donna get's a gun pointed at her.
- Sasha's 'aunt' is a bodyguard. Where have we seen that sort of behaviour?
- the police board only shows the Zane connections. the Guiseppes are more powerful, but it's the Zane's that are being investigated, most likely doe to Leia throwing chaos onto the 'chess board' of Wollust. Wiab is about how even pawns become queens, underdogs rising up etc.
- Zoey is not Mafia, but she's in a business partnership with someone who is a family member, as well as the girlfriend of a mafia family member. This will also explain what happens to turn Stefan so cynical and why he questions the Cyrus name, never having heard of the 'Cyrus' 'family'. you know there's different kinds of love, not just sexual, you don't have to say no homo. the easiest and better way is to just say i love you like a brother, or you're like family. i'm not gay my self but at least i'm smart and mature enough to know that you can say you can say i love you to somebody of the same gender and not be gay. people can we stop saying no homo. if calling someone a excuse what i'm about to say F.A.G. is not apropiet anymore then saying no homo should be too. because that too is basically saying its bad to be gay.

As for Katie, poor Katie seems to be completely oblivious to what happen around her. She seems to behave like a daughter of a rich family. She's only interested in fashion design. Also for stefan, just to remember that he was, as Zoey said, "corrupted" by his family to appear elitist and snobbish. Because Nika was around Bella in a very expensive restaurant, his elitist attitude snubbed Nika for being a no name.

20 years divide SG and WIAB. I'm sure Mafia and syndicate might still be a thing, I feel like that it won't be prominent in SG. You know the same way New york mafia family and crime syndicate became less of an issue compared to 20/30 years ago. They have feds on their ass and a lot is going to change.

Neither of us is right or wrong, it's all conjecture. But Amber knows what Noji did in WiaB. The Revera's aren't named yet in WiaB, but we see a unknown family member telling Donna to stay out of it. So if Donna's part of ZPR as a family, it's highly likely that the Petrovas are also, considering bodyguards. That makes Sasha''s things about the butterflies and Pandas not being able to breed make sense. She's raised like Katie, Willi and Leia, not allowed to choose.

I get the Holgersons aren't but Zoey is dating a mafia scion. There are rules. And they all know them. The holgersons know exactly what's going on. Also remember that Dylan and Helen go to the Relucia diner.

OH and the Salivans - the old lady at the police station is connected to the warden of Willi's detention/prison?

My impression was that the families did want the kids killed, as Scarlet says "if it weren't for a few good souls that night, you two would have been drowned in a bathtub." And Francesco Guiseppe appears to have a grudge with Willi and Leia - they put a balloon over his head, did they mean choking hazard??? Seeing they did lots of illegal/dangerous pranks...
