The jury is not in Wollust, it's two hours drive away. They have power over ALL the families, not just the Zanes. The Zanes are now split up into three different cities, and three different gangs. OUR Zanes are in Wallust. The Syndicate (all the families and factions) are presumably huge, nationwide or international.
Oh, I missed that point, I thought they were locals from Wollust. Well, then Willie must have hidden well (in prison :KEK: ) or they really didn't think he was worth finding and punishing.

I'm a bit bad at this but isint Nika, extremely similar to Leia ?
Yeah, a bit. They're both suffering from extremely traumatic events and seem to be dealing with it in very unhealthy ways. Nika seems to want to get better, though.

Nika can be a hateful prick, but he also cares about the few people that he cares about. Leia hasn't really shown that, outside one conversation about Katie in the new update. Leia treats everyone like shit. Nika doesn't treat Noji like shit at all.

At least I understand Leia, her parents were killed, given to the family as a prize, why would she love anyone, even her comrade in misfortune abandoned her. And I don't understand the logic of Willie, who returned to this non-family, knowing or not knowing that he would still be judged there (lol). The new logic from the ocean is broken somewhere.
I'll be very happy if all those weapons Leia is saving up for a vendetta.

Leia does seem to care, but because of the way she overcame William leaving her, she's can't show it like a normal person. Imo, the scheme she's pulling is clearly for the Zanes and their sake. But William leaving taught her to no one can be trusted, not even those you love and those who love you, so she's constantly in "gotta be a tough chick in this tough world" alway-on-defense-with-her-walls-up have-to-do-everything-myself mode.

She's sort of like those parents who run themselves ragged doing everything they can for their families, but they can't bring themselves to open up to them because they feel they have to be that "strong, unbreakable dad/mom", and end up lashing out at the family from being run so ragged and having all that pent up stress. They fuck it all up, when they're really just trying to support the ones they love.

At least thats my read of her.

I figure Leia thinks she's showing tough love to her family. That they should nut up and overcome their hurdles themselves, become strong. You can sorta see that in the girls at her club - its even in the name. In ancient Greece, the Aesculapian snake was used for medicine and healing rituals. Thats one of the things she's doing with the club - taking in girls who have potential, helping and fixing them up, and then building them up to be stronger and useful pawns.

You just don't get it. Leia and William were raised by the Zanes since they were little kids. Medieval hostages worked the same way. The point isn't just using them as bargaining chips as wedding pawns. Being raised by the Zanes makes them family. They may hate their "family" or love them, but they still think of them as family. They were there before Katie was born. This is the only family that they know. Bonds develop, as you can see even Helen and Dylan feels like William and Leia are theirs.

Even if it's just Stockholm Syndrome, those bonds are just as real as blood relatives have for each other.

I like that you also recognize the medieval similarities. I added the "tutelages" of antiquity. Still, one thing is still missing, Helen is a mastermind, so... what happened with that visit to the prison? was there extortion? a promise? an exchange?

mi "Are you sure Helen would mind if you called her Mother again?"
d "Miru... She's a very special kind of person. I don't want to risk it."
d "If you knew what she said to me the last time I had seen her."

Sounds like it wasn't nice at all.

I have two conflicting opinions. I bear in mind that EVERYONE is afraid of Helen's wrath, including Dylan. She has been described as terrifying, even by criminals.

1. She was so angry at him for leaving and getting sent to jail that she ripped him a new one and left him to rot.

2. The above, but also she was protecting him from the Judges by not telling anyone and having no further contact.

I hope its a case of both of those. Thats probably the best case scenario we can hope for.

If she explained herself to William. Vented out her anger, but then explained 2. It would explain why he then chose to stay away (Miru's amazing pussy aside), why he was willing to instantly come back home for her, as well as why he agrees with everyone that him leaving was this big fuck up.

Coincidences. Just like young Summer is the spitting image of young Leia. Dev probably ran out of different models and assets for the characters and everyone just ends up looking very, very similar.

Or maybe...at the time they were created, they were supposed to look exactly like they do ;)

This could be the case if they didn't know, for example, that their parents were dead, I don't know what kind of love there could be for this family, what motives there were to keep them alive, but we get what we get, the ocean didn't analyze this moment deeper, which is why I have the opinion that Willie is just an idiot, and Leia becomes stronger in every sense in order to avoid the Zane family, her motives are not explained at all, she is on her own. What she says about Katie may just be a farce, for manipulation.
Everything I know from history, movies, books, children taken hostage in this way posed the greatest danger to those who took them hostage.
PS And according to Willie, Helen said a lot of bad things to him, and now she's going to kill for him? Some kind of bipolar.
