Not exactly. The rework of chapter 1 and 2 were incomplete in 5 beta. A part of chapter 2 was completely rewritten after the beta release, not just renders replaced. Lots of things changed in season 1: link to changelog
You can see lots of pre-rework renders there and old versions of scenes that are no longer canon.

Yes, chapter 5 beta's correct full name would or should be "season 1 beta, chapter 1-5". Season 1 is basically a "season 1 release version" that contains 5 chapters (without counting half chapters).
The next release will be "season 2, chapter 1-2" that will continue from where season 1 was left off, using saves created in the end of season 1.
