VN Ren'Py Summer's Gone [S1 Steam + DLC] [Oceanlab]

For those of us on Steam, Ocean released a minor update to Season 1 yesterday that includes Russian and Spanish translations of the game. Can't comment on the quality of those, but one thing's for sure, the English script took a serious hit in quality, as it seems to me he didn't build this revision from his latest project files: there are literally dozens of typos and grammar mistakes that have been reintroduced (or introduced) with this update, as if we were back in the beta days. There was also one render updated...but the updated render has clipping. The original one was perfectly fine and didn't need updating. Oh well, typical Ocean...

Is there a way on Steam to "remove" or "delete" the update if it has already been downloaded?

Unfortunately no, can't go back to a previous version, Steam always pushes the latest version. They didn't account for one dev messing it up...

I'm confused what was even "updated" about the render, barring the clipping on the one strap. Almost seems like the one with the clipping was in a prior build but accidentally put back in.

Exactly my point. Just like with the game script that is now filled with more and more typos and grammar issues than before...as if he took a project file from 18 months ago to build this release.

I didn't mention Ayua because for the longest time Ocean refered to her as a "special case" and not really an LI. But that seems to have changed as of late so it's quite likely she will be one in the near future.

I hope he doesn´t change his mind in this case.

Well, we don't know if that's a stage name for a model to keep her life private. It's her name as listed on a social media app, we haven't seen anything more yet. Many people do weird things with their names. But it probably is her name.

Options: it's her mom's maiden name, to hide family connections, it's her husband's name (unlikely, because I thought she was younger than Nika/Summer/Nami when we see the flashback), she's changed her name because she's purposefully disconnected from her family...

All wild theories with no proof, but thinking about her and the sadness in her social media post... if she's still a planned LI, and she's sad about Summer, in her mind Nika and Nami have nothing to do with Summer's disappearance. Would you (in her place) date some one that was violent and caused your cousin's death?

Interesting thoughts while we wait to find out more about her. Even if she ends up a side girl (please no, we need models who haven't had Dr Ocean's enlargement bonuses), I don't think Ocean will drop her role in the story, she seems like the perfect plot vehicle to get Nika searching for Summer.

Based on her recent social media post, it's clear she's referring to MC. After spotting him at the restaurant with Bella for the first time in ages, she seemed a bit rattled.
Her post was "ghost of the past" or something like that, only reinforces that it's likely about Nika.
