Yeah i can understand major sites are pressured due to shitty mastercard and visa policies,but i can't (i hope) see GOG budging. Ok,maybe they will budge too,but don't you think at some point the community will be fed up with all this bullshit? I'm not naive enough to think there are some white knights out there who'll stand up,but the porn industrie makes billions of dollars ,do you think they will give up cuz of some major cc ceo's having a brain fart?And steam,steam is the biggest player out there . What do you think will happen if steam gets banned,or reduced to a tamed version? Yes mastercard etc. hold some power to a point,but if the majority of shareholders loose money? Not even the orange clown can rescue them.

Only my two cents, but honestly, I feel like this is just going to fade into quiet acceptance over time. People will complain at first, but most of those who are upset don’t really have enough influence to push back. And the bigger players? They’ll keep their heads down mostly I bet, cause no one with shareholders to please wants to risk being linked to porn "scandals". As common and normal as sex is in reality, it’s still treated as more taboo than graphic violence in mainstream media. Gog might be one of the few who will not fully bend to them, since they can afford it to at least some degree thanks to the ammount of payment methods they have.

Do you think Ocean will shoot himself in the foot from a winning formula ? By giving preview pictures every 2 weeks and tell us how much money he has spent on stuff and not deliver any content. Even the Developers that have the worst reputation are putting out content multible times a year i can give names if nobody believes me, but Ocean who has one of the most loyal fan bases and one of the best reputations is not putting out shit and has not for 1 year 10 months and this is not different from other years it's been a constent trend for him.

But if you are a developer and you have for years give very little and still get a lot why change ? It would make no sense when for years you have said yourself that something is coming and your fans get hyped and then deliver nothing ,But you don't lose fans you don't lose support then you don't see no reason to change your ways so you keep the same pace and same attitude and same work ethic. If people don't hold these Developers accountiable for their actions then nothing will ever change ,it will keep getting worse from new and old developers. I have seen after a developer gets a little bit of success they change from giving updates often to not so often, it's just from what i have seen with many new developers and even older ones they started off very active on development then all of a sudden updates come out few far and in between.

You are mistaken, the lack of sex scenes has already affected the game, because of this, subscribers are leaving Ocean. If initially SG was in section VN, then you would be right and no one would shout about sex. But this is AVN Game and people have the right to demand a scene of sex. Moreover, many of the departed subscribers want to return if the game changes, some have not gone but are also waiting for changes. I am one of them. Well, if the game does not improve, then people will leave and without money the ocean will abandon the game in a year or 2.

And if it is amazing i'll be the first to say i was wrong but if it is not amazing but a flop then maybe people will acknowledge i was write all along. What i can say this coming update will make or break Ocean believe it or not.

Have you considered that maybe this kind of pattern might be more universal? Maybe just take a look at the member count during the past 5 years for each of them? What those weird peaks there are supposed to be, I wonder?
Could it be just a coincidence that they seem to match with the months when each update was published?

The number of supporters just seems to grow rapidly each time after an update and starts to decline right after. And it just keeps repeating each time.

So maybe Ocean's creation just entered a similar phase after the last update and is now just following a similar pattern?

I've already shared the top three most discussed topics on Patreon for which Ocean's is most hated. At least, that's how it was when I was still a Patreon member.

The biggest complaints from Patreon subscribers are the censorship and the lack of sex scenes in the game. Maybe I'm wrong, and people are leaving for other reasons, for example: they're leaving because Ocean is a milker, no one knows the exact data. But when newcomers come to Patreon, the most common complaint they hear is the lack of sex scenes—that's a fact.

Oh I agree about the development time as that's always been an issue.
But again there are other games even more popular than this that sadly has
taken a year or more for a game update. Just have to bite the bullet
since there's really nothing we can do about it. Someone....actually
a few people talked about boycotting the game. On a site where
you get to play it for free.
