The problem with your argument is that those laws exist to prevent abuse based on power dynamics of the relationship between, for example, parent and adopted child. And further prevent issues between adopted siblings. In most cases, those protective laws present in cases of adoption and guardianship cease to be applied when adulthood is reached. Because they make no sense if there is no blood relation.

Therefore, seeing that both the MC and Nami are adults at the start of this AVN, unless Wollust has specific laws against non relatives that were raised together there would be no issue. Also we can't assume those laws exist until we are specifically told so. Why? Because again, generally speaking, all around the world, incest laws exist to avoid hereditary issues and prevent minor exploitation and abuse. Not to keep unrelated people apart because they grew up together.

If you go far enough back, sure, the principles behind incest laws are to avoid abuses of power/authority in family relationships, and to reduce/avoid inbreeding, with the corresponding potential for genetic issues. But there are also instincts, cultural baggage, and religious mandates that come into play.

As for the fictional Wollust, we don't have an explicit statement of the laws, but we do know that there is an active prohibition against Nika doing anything sexual with Nami (or Nojiko), from which we can draw conclusions about the laws and cultural mores in the game's setting.

We don't need the game to explicitly tell us things when it shows them instead.

I don’t have an issue with Patreon as a site, I have an issue with how the system is used. My dislike is for the "creators" who milk that system. Even under your definition, "you support the artist so they have the means to create, not because they promised a finished product", in practice, most of these creators are still pitching what they’re doing as if a product is coming. Otherwise, why would strangers on the internet give them money in the first place?

You’re sending money to a person you’ve never met and have no clue if they are telling the truth, it's just on the basis of promises you have no way to enforce. People here should blindly support everyone on the internet, just for the privilege of believing in them? At that point, you might as well hand that money to a homeless person.

There are plenty of "creators" who are very consistent about taking money, and the only thing they reliably produce are excuses.

That's not true though is it, because these creators are literally putting out content. You're talking like Ocean has been collecting payments for years and never produced any content when you say "You’re sending money to a person you’ve never met and have no clue if they are telling the truth". You also said, they're getting AAA development time, but of course many of them are, as most are working on the games entirely on their own, so it's only natural that it takes years, especially when the quality of the visuals is as high as it is in SG for example.

This shitshow is a product of years of changes and reworks. The game was created with incest in mind. The MC and Nami were supposed to be siblings. But incest is a tricky subject. For years he could get away with a patch that was released separately with minor issues. Until the day he couldn't anymore. When Patreon started sniffing around a little deeper for TOS infringement. So he nuked the incest patch and tried to pretend it never existed. He started reworking the game. Except he didn't go far enough and the old dialog and scenes of the "prohibition" are still in the game.

And this is why the last sentence in your post is so absolutely hilarious. Because the game literally shows Nami and the MC as siblings while simultaneously throwing you a few lines of dialog that makes it clear that they aren't. The game is at odds with itself. But not intentionally. Just as a result of a poorly done rework as a consequence of Patreon and all the other platforms cracking down on the incest content.

since this is the only site that seems to support free speech and dissent (mostly) i just would like to say that one issue i don't see really talked about is that the camgirl stuff is weird, borderline soapbox messaging, and damages fundamental messaging of the game. nia is one thing, from minute one she goes from "oh i remember you from school. anyway, man i wish your sister would choke me while she fucked me, look let me show you, oh fuck me mommy", so you within 3-5 blinks can go "ok you a crazy ho".

but that's the smaller of 2 issues, the big part of the camgirl focus i do not like, at all, nor can reason with is mila. almost from the start of her route flags after you meet nia, they talk about camgirling, and then victoria just randomly stops everything and goes on a spiel about how it's fine and just a opinion and how mila would look great doing it and probably make a lot of money, and then mc also says how much money nia makes. just a really weird scene to me, and it gets weird when more of mila's story is told, and about how she had to deal with being called a ho because her mother's history and her low money and rich guys thinking they could get her for 5 bucks, but then there's also multiple choices now, starting with that scene, of mc having the option, going twice now, about "uh, have you considered camming? how about onlyfans?" like the message being pushed to someone trying to beat the insults and become better than their parent's choices, your prospective frigging girlfriend or more lol, is "well, if they're going to call you a ho, maybe you should just go ahead and be one". it's counter to the mc, who's supposed to move and and become better, instead of someone saying "maybe you should just stay in your room, that's all you'll ever be able to do".

I think part of the writing kinda tells you that some of these characters are figuring themselves out. you even have a change of perception with nami that is unexpected. bella acts like shes fine just being non committal but her actions say otherwise. Im pretty sure some of that stuff will be addressed but the premise of the game is everyone is deeply flawed and just kinda figuring stuff out. More than likely he wouldnt be ok but right nia is seen as someone he would rather avoid or at least not a long term love interest so he probably just says things without thinking about it. While mila is obviously someone he likes its no where near at the level of bella or even nami so its understandable hes probably not thinking too hard about it when he talks about camming.

F95Zone applies the "abandoned" tag to games that have gone 18 months without a new release. This doesn't mean that the creator has announced that they've given up on the game, just that at some point it stops being reasonable to expect another release, and here the arbitrary line is drawn there.

The dev is reportedly still saying they plan a release in the next few months (they were predicting a release this month until Patreon shut them down a month or two back), with at least Subscribestar and Steam releases planned. Some posters have expressed scepticism - I don't know the developer well enough to say either way.

Developer said he is autistic or smth like that, so he wants every detail to be perfect, he keeps remaking stuff and also half of his family died during this update, he also makes two games at the same time, so because of that he created two patreons and got himself banned on both. new update probably going to be ready for valentine's day

From my observation Ocean initially intended to make SG much more raunchy, but later decided to focus on "making art" and deleted or rewrote a bunch of sexual content. Thats why this whole camgirl thing looks so unnatural

Games without sex aren't popular on Steam (and elsewhere), so the profits weren't as high as Ocean had hoped. Moreover, his subscribers really disliked the censorship and started leaving.
