This game is probably the game i enjoy the most on this side. 10/10.
I wanted to get this out of the way before i criticize it.
Because there are some things that are a bit disapointing.

1) I like the MC, but he is sometimes rather inconsistent in his actions.
He is being portrayed with depression, anxiety and panic attacks. But for some reason there are moments where those things just fly out of the window for some reason.

The best example is the book club in the new update.
His reasoning for going there makes no sence to me. A person with social anxiety and no interest in books (atleast at the moment) would never go to a club where there are a bunch of strangers, just to annoy his "mom"(forgot her name). And not only that, he even starts to charm his way through all the milfs, like a fcking Bard from DnD.
The Dev tried to justify this with a panic attack at the end, but that just appears like a poor excuse for an action that does not fit the character to begin with.

I think this whole bookclub scene was just an excuse to add a bunch of milfs to the game and expose the MC to the mistery of "mom" and Amber knowing each other already.

2) I have absolutely no idea who is a potential love interest and who is a "side" character.
As much as i love to have a lot of great characters, but there are just too many of them here.
If this would be a harem game, ok, but this is clearly not the case.
Especially if we consider that the first team of the girls has not even been introduced yet.

Sometimes less is more. I think the Dev is blowing this game a bit out of proportion.

3) The lack of sex does not bother me. One of the reason why i like the MC, is because he doesnt act like a horny 14-year-old everytime there is a girl on screen like in 98% of the games on this side.

But he is also an idiot in this update.
He knows that Bella wants him, but he cant get it up because of a mental block.
But doesnt he still have healthy hands and a mouth? Like i know he is a virgin and inexperienced, but atleast some light petting would have been a great addition i think. But nothing?

Thats enough criticism for now.

Like i said. Great game overall, cant wait to see more.
Well written, I was considering writing same opinion as yours, but now there is no need.

Still, it's my favorite VN, but those flaws really upsets me.

No it doesn't, it's just a plain text file with a rpy extension. False positive, get a better antivirus?
The antivirus is Microsoft Defender Antivirus, one of the best for Windows PCs. So, I take its warnings very seriously. The virus could be embedded in the zip folder released by lewdpatcher together with the lecit rpy files.
Can anyone post only the rpy text file here, so we can avoid to download it from external websites?

But this thing has been addressed many times in the game. The MC constantly pushes himself out of his comfort zone, he believes that this will help him to heal and become sociable. Even Nami was worried about this and warned him not to overdo it. Just recall their conversation at the lake, and later at Nick's, where he challenged Zara to a tennis duel.
So he struggles with his social anxiety, and being around people is one way to do that.

Another funny example, a movie night with Vic and Mila, when the girls started talking about their breasts and ended up talking about the vaginas. And Nami looked at Nika with suspicion, accusing him of not complaining about the topic. He replied that one way to get out of his comfort zone is to listen to this awkward conversation:) And Nami baited him to the book club, she emphasized that Noji didn't want Nika there and piqued his curiosity.

But he clearly overdid it with socialization, after several years of loneliness and depression, he jumped too quickly into social activities, made many new acquaintances and took part in too many events. Hence the increase in the number of panic attacks and their intensity, putting aside the fact that he did not work through the underlying psychological trauma with Amber.

Story is a bigger part for me too(Out of my 6 top AVN's, half of them still has no actual "love-salami" scenes with their LI's). But it doesn't take a genius to guess what our batman-ryan gosling-autistic-giga chad MC thinks and does in a room filled with old rich horny mifs. In my first playthrough I was just interested in bella-nami-mila more. But if I didn't play it a second time I never would've learned noji hides a lot of shit I'll give you that. I didn't entirely skip the book club section but I basically spammed the space key most of the time.

MC being this i-can-manipulate-any-social-situtation type moody emo guy is interesting and entertaining for the most part, but tbh I find it kinda cringe in scenes where this is the sole focus. I much rather see him interact with the characters I actually care about. Of course, that's just my preference.
Yeah, I am the same. There's enough out-and-out sex-fest games on here that I don't mind the odd good-quality slow burn as well.

While, I didn't skip the book club, I realized I'd have to replay the scene and pay more attention story-wise (because Ocean's such a tease).

I am still trying to work out if Ocean slyly made the Panda and the Butterfly book and the book club discussion about it analogous to Summer's Gone and its fandom...

I have a feeling that Zara's never had a serious relationship. Her constant training and participation in multiple sports teams monopolizes her time, and any guy who has been interested in her is probably put off by having to compete with her sports obsessions for her time as well as being intimidated by a girl who is in far better shape than he is. Nika is so into himself that nobody intimidates him and he's physically fit and competitive, all which catch Zara's attention. He's probably the first guy who she hasn't scared off, plus he reaches out to her asking for her help which reveals a vulnerability she finds endearing since everyone else sees her as threat if she's a potential competitor or standoffish in other circumstances if they don't share her passions. She is becoming a favorite girl of mine.
While I am a Bella first guy, Zara has grown to be my second favorite LI.

Ocean intertwines the paths of different LIs with information about other women that the MC may/may not become involved with. Regardless of whether or not I am interested in pursuing an LI (I like Nia, for example, but I won't pursue her as an LI), insights into other people are critical to understanding who they are today and Why they are the way they are today (like learning that Nia and Summer were good friends and that Summer's disappearance hurt Nia badly).

I adored the MC and Bella laying down to sleep together in his bed - it felt right. There was a quiet intimacy that required no sex to make it special. One of the added bonus parts of that scene was when Bella shared stories about Zara when she was little. The emotional and physical abuse that Zara endured at the hands of the egg donor, her mother who was Supposed to protect her, was a gut punch for me. The only other scene that hit me worse was the flashback of Bella being bullied by Melanie Ceril.

This insight made the following scene when the MC and Zara were playing BB with another couple much more powerful and made me feel like: GD Ocean - you are killing me here.

I'm going by the dates on my saves and I tend to skip half-chapter updates like the last one was (4.5). Also simple math: first release was May 2019. 5 chapters/53 months = 10.6 month average.
I understand your point, if you don't count every non integer release, but that is one of those 'minor' points that is worth including in a post, so people don't misunderstand.

It would be like saying GOT took way too many years between releases without mentioning that you only count odd numbered season releases.

Just saying.

Cheers!! :coffee:

did anyone manage to unpack chapter 5? UnRen says it can't find "python.exe" and just exits. I want to fix some non-ignorable bugs

Here is the thing, i would be more than stupid to throw money at him. Two games, four years and no considerable progress whatsoever. His Dev logs are basically always the sam excuses in different wording. You can be as gullible as you like, it's your money afterall, but not everyone throws common sense out of the window like many of the fangirls here or his patreons.
Maybe some of these so-called "fangirls" are actually the adults in the room and have enough intelligence to know the difference between different types of Devs making games on F95.

1. There are a few Devs making a lot of money from their popular game(s) that have the resources and financial security to put out either regular or large updates.

2. There are many Devs (some that have been working on their games for as long as Ocean and some that have long equally update cycles) that don't have financial security, but are still going strong, still have the passion. Ocean is one of these.

3. There are many Devs that give it a good try, give up and their games are abandoned. Sometimes, this leads to broken promises and a bit of milking before the end. This usually happens within one or two years.

4. Then there are the known Milkers.

There are many low-rent thinkers contributing to this thread that just love to accuse Ocean of being a Milker. What an absolute bunch of unmitigated crap!

When Ocean took charge of Summer's Gone all those years ago (yeah, for those that don't know, Ocean gave the game to someone else to produce originally while he worked on WIAB), he put in an explicit warning/disclaimer in the game that there would be no sex scenes for a long while.

Ocean's problems with third party providers being cagey about adult-themed material has meant he's had to shelve sexy-times completely for Season 1 of Summer's Gone. Anyone that thinks he wanted to do that rather being forced into doing that, is thinking with their cock rather than their brain.
