Well, I wouldn't say failing miserably. The vast majority of games are actually even worse in this regard. But it's definitely the second weakest link, only beaten by Ocean's perfectionist penchant for reworks and tweaks that unfortunately lead to the butchering of the characters' physical attributes. The Wednesday's Dev log is more what you'd call 'guideline' than actual rule.

In last week's devlog Ocean said - see you in 11 days after also mentioning the next log would be on the 12th in the very first sentence, where you got the idea that Ocean's going back to Wednesday logs.
Soooo do y'all estimating Q1 of 2025 or Q2 ? I can't get the feel from his DEV log or where he's at in development besides that the update is huge.
It seems to me that most people expect the next update in about 2040.

I'm expecting Q2. Next Wednesday Ocean's doing a devlog with numbers based on his new hardware, and we'll see what he expects. He won't put a date because he never hits them, but we'll be able to extrapolate better based on percentage remaining vs number of renders he can do a night.
