It doesnt mean that her father has different opinion, not at all. The father could have easily the same opinion as his wife - we just didnt have opportunity to hear it. Also the fact that Summer's mother stated something doesnt mean that we know the whole picture - their opinion about MC, his family and Summer's romantic interests in general. There could be much more things that they didnt like about it but the game just didnt reveal it so far.It has only been stated that Summer's mother had an issue with Nika, no mention of her father.
The only thing that we know for sure it that there was pretty strong resentment regarding Summer's relationship with MC (could be for more reasons). And that the family very probably left with her (they are not around anymore).
Maybe but again, it doesnt mean much, as it didnt have to be her father or it could be more like an accident and not real beating. And more importantly, as BobTheDuck wrote, the injury is probably unrelated. If he was beaten by him, that would probably be THE thing he remembers during therapy, not that her mother disliked him.
1. Its speculation as we dont know the whole picture. They don't have a problem with Summer being friends with Nami.
2. It would be fully understandable as Nami was not romantic interest of Summer.
3. Nami is not sister of MC anymore, right? So she is just a friend from school.
This further supports my idea, the only difference is the main reason why her family left with her. So they probably find out or didnt like the family ties around MC. Anyway the result is the same.As for the possible random attacker, I'm thinking it's likely something to do with the gang mentioned in WiaB, especially if Nika is William's son. That brings us back to Summers' mother, someone screwed over by the town's resident pogo stick. As I said, Nika's dreams end when the police officer shows up so the police likely were investigating something criminal.
Nami is pretty protective regarding MC and his "mental state" so I dont think that Nami would casually bring up this theme that "she is better than Summer" IF Summer would be dead. Also because she doesnt need to - Summer is no longer possible love interest. Its just my impression but the scene in chapter 2/3 doesnt seem "right" IF Summer is dead. Nami could easily suggest that MC should go on in his life etc.Now onto Nami, who has clearly harboured feelings for Nika for a long time. Why wouldn't she question Nika as to why he overlooked her and dated her new best friend?
What aggressive attitude? I dont remind anything like that from flashbacks. Maybe I missed something in later chapters. But they were very cute together. He saw Summer as perfect, despite her aggressive attitude toward him, Nami was always there for him but happened to be left by the wayside by both of them.
I dont agree that it would be more impactful if she doesnt show up. I said it in my first post - what could be better than to heal yourself, start a new life and then help to save and heal Summer, your long lost soulmate, to finish this whole unresolved mystery and source of pain?it would be interesting if towards the end Summer shows up and gets to see the "finished product" or healed Nika and whichever girl or girls he ends up with and they can get closure. And move on as friends. But this could piss a lot of people off because she would just be there to finish the story. I do agree that the story could be more impactful if she doesnt show up or just to see how far Nika has come.
And it would be players choice what to do with it - if he fall in love with Summer again or he sticks to new LI from previous seasons. This would be great for a VN about healing imho.
