There's a difference between being slow and putting all kind of excuses to avoid any lewd stuff, like an impotent and almost asexual main character or even Germany patreon rules but if you enjoy your 50th buttshot with Bella or Nami, goof for you Turian.
I do like my terran booty shots, sure.
But its not so much that, but... I know what I'm in for. I play SG knowing the diddling and shagging is way down the road. I don't expect it. Because Ocean set my expectations at the door.
The problem is the story pacing is just as slow. Take Summer, you know the so called character who gave the game its name. The mystery of her disappearance has still zero impact on the story since nobody, except for the MC, cares and he does nothing about it. After 5 years, five chapters and one rework we still don't know what really happened and while the recovery is apparently the main thematic the majority of the updates feels like filler content, adding new pointless characters to a already bloated cast like the 10 new milf in the book clubs or the new random friends of Bella & Sasha introduced in a rework while most of the love interest not named Bella are still waiting to be somehow relevant. That when we don't have a thrilling tabletop session
Yeah, the story progression IS slow. I'm with you on that. While I enjoy the game for what it is, I do have my own bag of issue with the narrative and its progression. But thats a separate issue. Slow plodding narrative is a separate issue from slow, plodding coomer content. The two don't happen at the same pace in AVNs. And the point of topic is coomer content.
Yes, Ocean has tied coomer progression to narrative progression, and if narrative progression was faster, maybe coomer progression would be faster too... BUT. Everybody goes into SG knowing that coomer progression is gonna be blueballingly slow as a snail. So no, I don't agree that people should be up in arms over getting what you were told you were going to be given. You can dislike it, sure. But you're intentionally consuming content you know you dislike at that point...
Anyways, we're clearly just gonna run in circles on this. And thats fair enough. Like the good man says, "it is what it is".
(I'm sure when we finally get some shagging down the line in 2035, it'll be.. unsatisfying.
)
