Hey I never said the game was bad or unplayable. Just weird. And the football field isn't the only weird thing about it. The way the character's interact with each other (wormy? WTF?), the strange basketball midget subplot, the borderline gay jock harassment among other things. Either this dev is an absolute lunatic/genius or an alien whose only exposure to human society is via tv shows and movies.

Yes, yes, we all know. Weird things everywhere. You even failed to mention the Terminator cat infiltration model who's fierce attacks leave only superficial scratches that disappear within hours. And of course, the military mice. And the lake that is on a walking distance and a 6 hour drive away at the same time. BobTheDuck is obsessed over it and is likely going slowly insane each time he tries to resolve this conundrum.
Possibly the cutest weirdness is Nadia's banana.

Holy shit this dev has never seen a football field in his life. If you tried to drive across one in an ATV that would be like a 5 second drive, you get on and then almost immediately get off. Also the groundskeeper would murder you for messing up his turf.

Nah it's the shooting a basketball with one hand and then just casually making super long shots with ease. It got better towards the later chapters but as a person who plays basketball I was losing it in the first few lmao.

I'm not saying we reached any conclusion, but the thread probably can't sustain another descent into logic. The Oceanverse is simply non-euclidean because Leia's drug empire reached critical mass and broke the bounds of time and space. That's the ACTUAL danger of Ocean working on two parallel storylines simultaneously.

That's one of the few things permanent - Nami refers to it as "the" (definitive term) lake they used to go to with Noji as kids

I like to think of the Oceanverse as HP's Room of Requirement. The world in SG and WiAB is exactly what the characters and the story, currently being told, needs it to be when it needs it to be that way. I hate that there is no logic or consistency to it because it fucks up my immersion. But...it is what it is. Let's pray that when(if) the final update comes out, it ties everything together. Sadly, right now, I couldn't be more doubtful.

Sure there's a possibility for a second lake, but if I talk about going to "the treehouse, I was always there with Nami" it's a singular place. Plus Nami ties the lake to Summer, by specifically trying to arouse Nika's thoughts about Summer at a place where he has memories of her. The scene is weaker if it's just a random lake that Nika has no prior memories about. The whole scene is about nostalgia, with Nami trying to get Nika to remember better times, and Nika actually remembering things about being younger. We also know they shared their cool lake spot with Summer from the flashbacks, and it was probably more than once - that was the whole point of Nami wearing her hair provocatively.

It's also possible Ocean will explain it all very sensibly by adding info that we don't currently have, all the bridging info that helps make sense of how the cabin is so ridiculously far away. But it's really only one render and a crossfade away in an AVN anyway.

Nah, he'll get overwhelmed by that. It's easier to retcon. And that's what'll happen, an overly complicated explanation that takes 250/300 renders of facial closeups and flashbacks, as Nika explains it all to Amber on her couch, while Amber grows sexually frustrated and just wishes he'd stop talking - and that will be the Amber 'content' for that update.

Summer is actually Keyser Söze, not Sasha.
