Its the same as donating to cancer research. You're doing it to help out because you believe in the cause/creator. Its not about getting the product for a fair value.

Anyone who gives money just to "pay" for the game, would support for one month at whatever tier they feel is appropriate and then cancel the sub after that month is paid for.
