Hello,
Gone are the days of the Wednesday dev logs. Welcome the age of Sunday Logs.
It makes a lot more sense to have Dev Logs on Sunday, as I don’t do render work on it and instead focus on preparation, postwork, behind-the-scenes stuff, contracts, etc.
I finished my move, and after the initial 4 days of party invites and BBQs, I have now returned to my usual working routine.
This must do for a vacation for the next two years, even though I apparently semi-agreed to a trip to Mexico next year. I blame the tequila.
I'll only go there if I can clearly say I improved the release schedule of the 2000-2500 render updates.
My Main workstation with the A6000s has been running for a few days. It and all my monitors survived the trip. No issues there.
I still haven’t connected my other PC with the 4090 as I don’t have animations to render right now and would like to produce as little heat as possible.
Renders done in the past 6 days.
Renders: 6050 -> 6300 (~250)
I currently average about 45 renders per day, and I hope to increase this to around 55 by next week.
I hate nothing more than heat, and it’s affecting my output. My A6000s are reaching 80C°+ temps for the first time ever, and my mobile AC can’t cool the room at all.
I now live in a less insulated house again, and it shows.
The Dorms
I totally forgot to mention this in the previous log…
Surprisingly, there aren’t any really good assets for a college dorm.
There are assets for specific rooms, but not the hallway itself. At least nothing that looked good enough.
So, I decided to create my own.

As always, Treats aren’t about quality; they are about acting on sudden inspirations and finishing them before the inspiration goes away.
I might create an extra set based on the additional image for Nia. I really like it.
I’m certain I will create Vol. 2 before the new update releases… All I can say is… Goth Sasha hits surprisingly hard.

But that one is a lot more diverse… I’m looking forward to it.
I’m documenting my daily progress religiously and have a code snippet that tracks how many renders I complete daily.
It will be a cute little challenge to push the numbers up.
I'll see you in two weeks... We should be closing in on 7000 renders by then.
