That's a good question. At first I was ready with the "Where's Summer?" but after I gave it some thought, that ain't it. It's not like Nika is looking. So the main story is probably more about getting over Summer but it's done through slice of life style content. Then each girl has their quirk/issue/quest but I wouldn't consider those main story.
Alright, cool. Yeah, thats pretty much where I'm at with it, too.

Season 1 was pretty much all set-up, and Bella progress, though. Maybe Season 2 will introduce a more solid overarching storyline that will take us to Season 5. I doubt the game will ever get there, but still.

No, he has addressed this many times that it will be a one-time thing and he will definitely return to his usual updates of about 2000 renders. I think he's just testing the best way to promote and sell the game on Steam.

Ocean didn't explicitly call it a one-time thing. He explained that a larger update made more sense than splitting it into smaller parts. He's done big updates before (not this big) and will likely do them again when needed, though he generally prefers regular-sized updates.
What, uh, what IS the main story of SG? Does it even have one? It just seems pretty slice of life to me, with some running sub-plots, while MC and the girls all start making progress with their various issues/traumas/etc.
For me the main story is about two young persons who are absolutely not siblings falling in love. Other than that, not a clue.
You guys are clueless.
The story is about healing... his dick!

What actually happened to Summer could still be central to the main story, maybe it's connected to the criminal networks/families in Wollust somehow. So Nika's journey to become better and dealing with his trauma, could lead him to uncovering something about that, as well as more about his own and Nami's past and parents.

I remember thinking Emilio was totally setting up something like that. He and his barbershop reeks of "a front for some intelligence network or information broker" type shit. Like, I would not be surprised to find out he's ex-CIA or some shit. And then his background check on Nika would uncover some shit that would come into play later.

As for progress, usually people mean "seggs when" by progress, well, it was promised that S2 will be adult and there will be lewd scenes. How lewd they will be is hard to say, at least we saw full naked Cheeto and Mila in the previews :BootyTime:

Honestly, I've never been that curious about the main story in SG, for me it's more about the dynamics of the relationships between the characters, relationship building, emotions, drama, that kind of thing. Judging from the renders, there's going to be a lot of content about them living in Nick's house, Nika, Nami, Mila and Robin moving into that student house, and we'll see more of Katie, for me that's enough progress to make me want the next update.
Nah, by progress I meant the update progress, like how close we actually are to release. I don’t give a crap about H-scenes at this point. I’m here for the story and the romance.
But I noticed there’s no Sasha in there. Please tell me we’re going to see Sasha or I’m going to riot.

That sort of thing actually doesn't sound too far fetched.

Compared to Miru and her ninja clan in old WiaB, its downright sensible.

(I will honestly never get over the ninjas in old WiaB. That shit came out of nowhere and was so funny to me. I loved it.)
I never played the original WiaB, seems I may have missed some weird stuff.

Ocean said that this update will have some content for all of the main girls.

I think we will see Sasha when the MC and Ayua train in martial arts on the next weekend day, then likely again on Monday at college.

Whether we get concentrated Sasha interaction the way we did during the book club remains to be seen.

Cheers!! :coffee:

I kinda love how fucked Ocean's timeline is that when he gives us an estimate, we don't try to be realistic and expect 1-3 months after it. No, we expect a full year after the estimated time-period. :KEK:
It's good for your health to have realistic expectations.

Speaking of damn deadlines, I still can't figure out why you guys decided that Ocean sets them? As far as I remember, the question "update when" was always followed by answer "when it's ready."

The various dates he sometimes gives in the discord are nothing more than his rough estimates, and they are usually inaccurate. If the rag around Zara's ass is not wrapped realistically enough, then the release date will shift, and Zara's ass will be wrapped in full accordance with the laws of physics.
What, uh, what IS the main story of SG? Does it even have one? It just seems pretty slice of life to me, with some running sub-plots, while MC and the girls all start making progress with their various issues/traumas/etc.
Yep, and slice of life is my favorite. :giggle:

But actually, a larger plot is traced and we are shown pieces of it without revealing the full picture. Who are Nika and Nami, where did they come from and what is their place among the current high society of Wollust? Why does Nojiko hide a lot from them - her friends, contacts, social environment, etc.

In parallel, the theme of healing develops, for the MC and for the characters who are close and important to him. All the characters, one way or another, have experienced their own dramas and are also trying to heal of their consequences. Bella, Sasha, Nia, Zara, Mila, Vic - they are all traumatized. Even Nami, who always seems cheerful, carefree and adorable silly - as soon as the moment of truth comes, it clearly shows that this is a facade. Heck, she directly says this after MC and Bella's date when she finds out that Noji dates Nick.

And a bunch of mysteries that have no answers yet - for example, what happened to Summer? :KEK:

She has a crazy boyfriend, that's what I've been told, so be careful :KEK:

Off the top of my head I remember previews of her from college, like when Karen was groping her boobs in art class, and later previews from some room in college with her, Nancy, and the others. She's been mentioned here and there by Ocean on Discord, so I think he just doesn't want to spoil too much about her before the release.

What a funny bibi he is :KEK:
Followiing this logic a completed game makes even more sense than splitting it into a few updates.

From what I read, he was cursing the idea of making the update so huge. :KEK:

Are there any hints or outright denials, that Miru and Noji could be related? I suppose Noji would be about ten years younger or so than Miru, so could she is a sister, cousin, niece or something?

Might have to the with the flow of events in the update. Like the difference between a full novel and a chapter.

You can split up the release of the novel chapter by chapter, because each chapter is a complete sequence. But a chapter split up into multiple releases fucks up the flow of reading the chapter because now you're splitting up the experience of a single sequence into fragments.

Maybe the flow of S2ep1 is more tight, and there's no good cut off points without it being shit.

I dunno. Just a thought.

Its not much evidence. But the current models of Noji and Miru totally look like they're related. I could buy them being siblings.

Well, the creators of the TV shows somehow manage to fit into 45-minute intervals despite the development of the plot and other crap. :KEK:
Besides, each episode usually has a beginning/intro part, a main part and a culmination with a cliffhanger, because of which we will wait for the next episode :KEK:

It was? Didn´t know about it. Personally, I´m happy Ocean drifted away from it.

I never though Nika and Nami were related. I prefer if they weren´t.
I honestly have no problem with removing incest from the game, but Ocean should decide to remove all references to it: Give Nika and Nami two different surnames as well as define their relationship as two people who have the same legal guardian. Otherwise rewrite Nojiko so that she is actually a landlady and not a "mom"

Who won?
I'm not sure I'm sorry I never played the original version.
Definitely William since he can end the evening with Katie sitting on his face :sneaky:
