Well, once you take a hard look at the kin dof person she is, who breaks and enters, does hit and runs, generally not a great example for Nika to move forward in life. If you don't go on the heist with Bella, Nami mentions Nika doesn't need another charge, suggesting that he's had legal issues in the past and trouble is the last thing he needs right now. Bella's going to provide plent of shitstorm for Nika to weather.
As a narrative device, she's interesting and brings conflict to the story. As a human being, the other LI are just better people I find more trustworthy. I can imagine Sasha or Vic genuinely wanting Nika to look after himself. Bella's still just after what she wants. It's currently a hyped infatuation. How many days?
Edit: Full disclosure, I'm bitter because Ocean demoted the first LI I chose, wrote the second character I liked was a special case and wouldn't be a LI... at this point, my NIka's not healing jack shit but rocking in the corner listening to AiC's Down in a Hole

You're failing to account for why she's like that. It's the same reason Nika is the way he is. Extreme trauma and its' impact on their lives. If the game goes where it should, and if Nika and Bella end up together, you should be able to help each other heal and get better as people. They understand each other that well. Either that or it's Sid and Nancy or Bonny and Clyde time.
