No?? If you're guessing who those tripletts goon's are,my guess : they are the Baskerville-tripletts from the Manhwa "Revenge of the Iron-Blooded Sword Hound" ,lol ;)

Nika is a broke ass <removed>, he can't afford trips.
I mean, I was assuming the explanation was gong to be some sort of mystery, if there was one.

Wait, I've never actually confirmed this - the game is supposed to take place in some crazy Euro-fantasy version of America, right?

Our MC is a snowflake, fragile and traumatized. Using him as a tool for revenge and then throwing him away obviously is what a heartless bitch would do! :cautious:

I mean, I was surprised when Mila said they were friends, especially after the MC saw Bella and Kate quarrel in the locker room. But yeah, it's probably Bella's fault that they hate each other. Bella is known for being friendly, especially when you just meet her. :giggle:
He's traumatized, but I wouldn't exactly call him "fragile". Left to his own devices, he'd contentedly spend his days quietly hanging out in the shadows, silently murdering every guy with ill intentions towards his technically not-sister and... I guess napping?

Also, snowflakes think they're worth coddling because they're just so unique. Hence the term. The MC doesn't seem to care enough to have an opinion. It's the girls who make a fuss, due to him being all dark and handsome.

Summer's Gone - Season 2 - Chapter 1 - Dev Log #38

Hello,

So…

I wasn’t in front of my PC for most of the weekend and suddenly remembered that I had moved Dev Logs to Sunday.

Sorry.

I created about 275 stills and 3 animations in the past 10 days.

Which puts us at 7275 stills.

I have no idea how many animations I’ve done yet… I’d say about 15 to 20.

And those are all animations with 60 to 300 frames, and more to come… But those will be tackled after all stills are done.

Obviously, because the game is now in 4K, all animations are rendered in 4k too.

Here’s a list of what I still have to do:

- Another ~750 stills

- About 15 to 20 animations (Non-cinematic)

- Cinematic 1 - ~30seconds

- Cinematic 2 - ~1min

- Cinematic 3 - ~1min (Teaser)

- Implement the new main menu and all its functionality

- Implement the new gallery.

- Implement the new Chat system for the phone (It’s coded but not tested in-game yet.)

- Implement Aurora (Optional for CH1)

- Create 5 standalone preset starts for Season 2

- Postwork for about 3000 renders

- Implement the ambiance and SFX

- Test it all, including the save porting from Season 1 to Season 2.

I’ll have to come up with a system to test future Chapters more efficiently, especially if it involves porting saves from other Seasons over.

The Steam page for Season 2 will go up in the next few days, it’s been in review for about a week.

Season 2 and its Chapters.
As the next update will be as big as four normal chapters, I should also adjust the counting for it.

The next update includes Chapter 1 to 3, with 7 to 8 more updates to come for Season 2.

The game will be released on Steam/GOG with Chapter 4, the update after the upcoming one.

Provided that’s still possible after the recent, simultaneous, worldwide attempts to morally guide us, censor, and fuck all our privacy.

Censorship and GOG.
SG Season 1 was part of a free bundle in collaboration with GOG.com (FreedomToBuyGames) to stand against censorship and the right to buy and sell games as long as they’re legal. (Watch them make everything that could be seen as immoral illegal. Hello 1800’s and great work Project 2025.)

GOG now gave us the official numbers and 1,357,973 had claimed the bundle. A very solid number, and maybe a few will even try the game.

I’m not going to lie, not knowing if I will be able to pay my workstation lease and electricity bill next year is on my mind a lot, especially now that they are thinking about a new electricity levy after telling us it would finally be reduced.

“The government is planning a new levy for all customers as soon as the reserve power plants go online.” German Source:

Awesome.

I do have some contingency plans if the worst comes to worst. I assume SG Season 1 is safe as it’s not classified as an adult game, but future Seasons might be severely affected.

Germany, as usual, likes to go one step further and thinks about banning payments to adult platforms, even for adults.

“The state media authorities want to force financial service providers to refuse payments to adult websites [...] – even payments made by adults. The legal basis for this is the new Interstate Treaty on the Protection of Minors in the Media (JMStV).

This was explained by Marc Jan Eumann, chairman of the Commission for the Protection of Minors in the Media (KJM), to the Evangelical Press Service (epd).” - German source:

They are speaking about certain websites there, but we all know how this goes. It’s never just that.

I was thinking about getting a cheap third PC to help with animations, as I still have a 3090 lying around.

But because I invested easily 90% of what I earned over the last few years back into the games, I must now build reserves for the worst case so that I can at least pay the workstation leasing as well as the electricity bill for the next 2 ½ years and then the workstation is mine.No matter what happens tho, I will never stop developing these games.

I made a cool discovery in Marvelous Designer a few days ago, I'll talk about it in the next log.

I’ll see you in two weeks.

Yeh, it is not coming out this year. Stills alone will take at least 3 more months to complete. Also, considering it's stills with sole focus of SG, you can half that for normal times when work is shared with WIAB.

Also, Germany is a shithole and it's wonder anyone still choses to live there.

The location at the beginning of the game should be accessible for a teenager's trip from the city.
If you're going for mystery, you can treat this as a subtle hint that Summer was taken/killed/injured by someone from the continental mafia.

Reading the dev log it gonna take Ocean a month to complete the rest of the still renders. That will place it around early September. Since he does have two rigs he will most likely use one to render animations and the other to complete post work which may take a month and a half. The earliest possible release I think will be in around late October to early November.
