Regarding this discussion, and Marla specifically, I just want to say that it is weird how the emphasis is put on therapy considering she should have other priorities right now. We can't forget she ran over and severely injured someone. The legal and financial implications of this should, in my point of view, take precedent.

Her first concern should be talking to a lawyer instead of a shrink to keep her out of jail. She may have some serious charges coming her way like reckless driving or vehicular assault.

Second should be a financial advisor because you know she will be liable for Vic's injuries and rehabilitation.

Maybe the third could be a shrink. But this is the reason why I take issue with her character. She is portrayed as a victim in need of psychological counseling. We see her crying. We hear her say she has issues. All of this seems designed to paint her as a victim and make us forget she is anything but one. I'm not saying she's a bad person BUT she is, in fact, the assailant in this context.
