Others have already explained. Yes, he's taking way too long, but your assumption that he closed up shop because a pirate forum slapped a tag on the game's thread, while he has another game that is not listed as abandoned...now we have schrödinger's Ocean, able to be abandoned and not abandoned at the same time. Magical!

As far as abandoned, Ocean left this forum years ago, so I doubt he considers what we talk about behind his back as anything other than noise. Schrödinger's noise at that I guess, the sound of one hand fapping to non existant SG lewd scenes that might or might not happen?

Exactly, the game isn't abandoned. And what's the hurry about? Ocean probably still has 40-50 years of life left, and his children and grandchildren can take over in the future. Just have some patience.

Our kids will pick up after we're gone. By the time they reach 18y.o. Ocean will start implementing first sex scenes as well.
Of course there's a chance that Ocean will get tired with SG and WIAB, and start third game in the series, but oh well.

While I love what I’m doing, I also have personal goals that I can’t ignore, otherwise, I will wake up in my late 30s, the games finished, socially isolated and with a full mailbox of the nastiest rumors spread about me.

What's the point of such a massive update? Players will still complete it in less than a day, then will they need to wait another 2 years for the continuation. Will they even remember what happens by then? Update cadence is important yo.

If we get an update with nearly 9000 renders + animations in 21 months, that's the same as 3x3000 render updates every 7 months. Ocean just shot himself in the foot by trying to release three update's worth of material as one update.

So we'll see what the case is when an update finally drops ...at some point. The longer it gets drawn out, the less interested people become in finding out what's happened. I can guarantee this thread will be 'fun' whenever there's an update though.

People on a pirate forum who pay nothing seem really worried about fraud.
