Really? It is perfectly valid by your use of "making money of someone else's work." I applied the same logic. One person creates a thing, another creates a thing that needs that thing in order to function and makes a bit of money. Broken down to the bare basics it is the same.

However there is something logically wrong, as you might have noticed when broken down, and that is the use of "making money of someone else's work.", because in reality they are actually making money as a result of their hard work through someone else's work. Which sounds fine, and why you probably would never have described it that way, because it doesn't evoke as much annoyance or anger when reading as "making money of someone else's work." does.

Put simply: They are making money by extension of someone elses work, and only making money on said extension, aka their work, not on the original work, that is gotten separately. Just like people who use game engines do.

How long does this usually take to update? Somone mentioned longer then usual but i have no idea what the usual is. Im gonna guess about a month so like nov 17 but that is just based off of my gut feeling rather then any real experince or knowledge of this mod or modder.

You sir are a moron. Lain busts his/her ass updating all their mods ASAP after updates and has one of the largest libraries of mods to keep updated. Summertime Saga has had a massive overhaul and Lain has no time to farq around with morons that are installing an 18.6 mod on a non-compatible 19.1 game. The 18.6 mod has been downloadable for 6 months, if you don't have it by now, it is not Lain's problem. Simply wait for their update with the new and improved UI they have been working on and enjoy it like the rest of us chodes when it releases. If you don't want to wait, there is built in cheats and plenty of walkthroughs out there to follow in the meantime. Otherwise get out of this thread with that negative Nancy crap spewing your nonsense poison.

You know what's a joke? Dev's charging $10.00 and $20.00 patreon tiers to have access to built in cheats and/or walkthroughs. Lain has elected to charge $5.00 for his entire library. If you don't like it, move the f*ck on, keep walkin, and thanks for stopping by. By subscribing to his patreon, you get support, you get updates, you receive a service. If you want free, learn python, java, VB, whatever the hell it is they use to mod these games and do it yourself, or use the save editor posted all over this site. I give $5.00 because I enjoy the convenience of having a walkthrough built into the game itself instead of having some crappy notepad or pdf open on the side. The summer update was only intended to smash the modders so that we could use their shit, and worse to stop the modders. Because sending emails for bugs was not a necessity, soon you will have to be a patreon to get into the game at the rate it's going, considering the added code it's off to a good start so the rhetoric will probably turn out to be hard life, right? And no, I'll pay for a Walkthrough, paid for a pdf in python there's no interest.

I love Lain's mod however I never really use the walkthrough as this game is fairly easy to navigate and you can find out what you need to do just by looking at the hints.

yeah i dunno about this specific mod, and though i code, i have never really taken a crack at renpy.

but this game feels like it is a different challenge than lots of other renpy games i see on this site. a lot of games when they update, they're stacking the new update on top of the existing code and events. so if you do a walkthru mod, you can basically just find the best path through the new update. that might take hours or just a day or two to turn around.

in this case, the update covers eve and her friends and also the park crew, and even changes the rap battle minigame. its shit that comes into play early on and through the whole thing. it also has some obvious variable hooks and triggers into stuff that isn't something you'd associate with eve's storyline at all. it's a big game, and that's a ton of variables, hooks, and triggers. it could take a bunch of days to get it all working as intended.

• Improved the mod UI. There is now a button at the top of the screen to open the mod menu so you no longer need to open the phone to open the menu. A button has also been added to the quick menu that will open the mod menu
• The character portraits will now show if you've completed a character's story or need to wait for their next event to become available
• Created in-game walkthroughs for Eve and Mrs. Johnson
• Added Grace and Odette to the side character scenes page
• Added an option to disable the mod custom scenes
• Updated everything in the mod to work with the latest version of the game
