and him releasing the announcement of a partial tech update on THE SAME EXACT DAY the game qualifies for the abandoned tag is a complete coincidence right? everything is right there infront of you and yet you still choose to cope.
Why do it NOW after the tag was put in place instead of anytime in the past 18 months to avoid the tag? He is doing it for the constant complains in Discord, Patreon and Picarto.

DC could've literally put a single scene or an easter special in the last 18 months in order to avoid the tag here. He doesn't care, he never interacts here.

The game has enough traction and fame all around the internet that he doesn't need F95 anymore, it's the biggest VN Porn Game in the entire internet, if you search for any adult VN game it will take you less than 2 minutes to find Summertime Saga, there's SS videos in PH with millions of views.

he didn't care for the complaints enough to release anything 17,16,15 or 14 months in? he only started to care enough to announce anything exactly 18 months in?

"DARKCOOKIE DOENST CARE ABOUT F95,THE PATREONS ARE SUPER ANGRY ABOUT HIS SHADY TACTICS SO HE HAS TO RELEASE CONTENT:mad:"
I fucking love this is the actual defense for this whole shitshow:KEK:
Just admit he cares about F95,it makes him look better:LUL:
Dude hasn't commented here since 3 years ago, I don't defend him, he is incompetent and did not estimate nor handled the tech update how it should have been handled.

If you really think he cares more about the complains on a Pirate Site where 95% of people complaining don't give him any kind of revenue instead of the thousands of patreons, Discord members and Picarto viewers where he actually interacts and stays you are coping.

I am not defending him, where did you see this as a defense? All I'm saying is that the tag changes nothing in DC's mind nor has anything to do with the yet another pre-update to be released.

If you'd like to stay in Cloud 9 and think that DC is scrambling through his PC and putting out a pre-tech update because of a tag here, please go ahead and think that.

It's just damage control, it really is not hard to see or understand.

Also this site, as many mentioned, is the hub to find adult games. You're foolish if you think it has no impact what so ever on his earnings, this is not a small indie website.

I agree it is damage control but NOT for F95, instead for his Patreon supporters and Picarto Viewes (which intersect).

I also agree this is not a small indie website; DC was kind-of active here before blowing up on other parts of the internet, F95 helped him gain a ton of Patreon subscribers, when he gained enough traction he abandoned F95 and focused on Patreon and Picarto.

While it is true that when new people who haven't heard of SS come here and see the thread as "abandoned" they will think twice about supporting him on Patreon, he has other websites where he is more popular and couldn't care less about the tag here.

Who said DC was making good decisions?
Honestly, do you really think that he was watching this topic for months fearing that there'd be a tag, that he'd do nothing about it all that time (despite the amounts of art he created and despite the fact that he's proven to be able to release pre-tech updates within weeks), just to write a statement now, which doesn't even prevent the tag?

I’m just pointing out that the timing is too perfect to be just a coincidence.
j4yj4m didn't say anything about you saying that DC was making good decisions.

While the timing of the abandoned tag and the announcement of the release of yet another pre-tech update are too "perfect", they are indeed a coincidence.

DC could've literally put another pre-tech update or literally fixed a typo in any dialogue and released an update as a patch/hotfix in the last 18 months and it would have prevented the tag being added here.

Him releasing the pre-tech update after the tag gets added makes him look worse.

Let's see how it goes from now on. I wouldn’t be surprised if the 'abandoned' tag jogs some memories about their current Patreon subscriptions. People often forget about subscription-based services, so it’s likely that a few patrons didn’t even remember they were still signed up.

My bank app sends me a notification of every charge into my account, I'm sure more than 90% of bank apps out there do that. I really don't think someone who was giving him money will see this tag and cancel his subscription. The ones who forgot about it sure as hell don't check here frequently.

Lots of people in his patreons cancelled their patreon and new people will replace them but now with abandoned tag there will be less newcomers to his patreon
People using this site to find a game and try it and if they like the game some will considering supporting the devs but when people see abandoned tag , they wont check the game hence no new supporters
And no!! new people won't read 3859 page just to check if he still streaming, they see the tag and bye
And remember f95's april fools about becoming one with patreon? Some developers believed that and they were celebrating! So yeah f95 is important for them

My bank does not notify me for every subscription I have, I'd have to enable that kind of notifications myself, but by default it's not enabled on my side. I do receive emails, but I'm sure some people don't receive anything or don't even look at their emails anyway.

This is a pretty common issue, and is the way many subscription services are actually making their money.

Hell there's even an app that will tell you exactly how much you're paying subscription fees in total across different services. People are that stupid.
