This is a screenshot from Patreon as of today

Now 29529 paid subs equals if they are all dollar subs
$29,529 US Dollars per month
x12
$354,348.00
Let's say Patreon takes 20 percent
$283,478.40
That number is only if everyone is a $1 sub
More than likely this is higher.
Two years of doing nothing:
$566.956.80
And the cucks got nothing.
You get to pay for another year to get back to what you had.

People saying DC doesn't do anything are way off. The dude streams regularly (including right this minute) of him drawing art for this game. I think he just hired the world's worst dev team.

I noticed in the cookie jar that there was an option to pick sub/dom options for Jenny's scenes now, but why on Earth would I play through this turd more than once to unlock them? This isn't Mass Effect, and my enjoyment of reading through dialogue lines that are 99% identical to ones that I've played before to ferret out the tiny bits of change is limited at best. And from what small amount I saw when I tried to work up the effort to speed through you actually see less than you do on the dom route, since you wimp out of pushing Jenny to actually do the lewd scene.

Also, I just tried to use a gallery unlocker to skip the whole wretched process and of course now it simply doesn't show options at all. Why isn't there a simple option to unlock the cookie jar like we had in the past, so us old-heads with low patience can see all the new changes in this preview version? People have already dug through the files and found art for new Jenny content (like the missionary scene in bed) that simply hasn't been implemented yet, so there's even less point in going through the game multiple times since the saves will undoubtedly break yet again in the next update. Just brilliant design all around.
Ultimately we'll have to see what kinda of branches we are going to get. I totally agree that they are way too similar and just aren't worth a replay. Which is why I was hoping, that they'd actually elaborate them, so more people could be happy with Jenny. Right now she's neither one or the other and neither those who really like MC's submissive parts nor those who want her to be a bit less bitchy (by dominating her more) will be statisfied. People like her, because she's supposed to be the sister and because she's hot, but as far as I see, that's about it. Only very few will actually care about her story, which is very different compared to Eve or Roxxy, for example.

I also agree 100% that this is really nothing more than a demo and I certainly don't want to play Jenny's story again after the tech update. Which is why I asked the question in the first place. As such it's good to know that there's no use in playing it now.

What I think he doesn't understand is that people aren't really all that interested in the branching stories where you have to replay a porn game, because they just want to race through the dialogue, get to the sex scenes, then move on to another game.
As far as I see it, branches are one of his core ideas. Some years ago he did promise to reduce/remove them, because so many people complained (which in return was my reason to stop giving him money back then, because I actually like them for the most part and I really wouldn't like let's say Mia's story with no options). But he did walk that decision back slowly over time and as such I do think he'll stick to them.

That mark represents the last major storyline release. The difference between the graph to the left and the graph to the right is staggering. If Kompas Productions was a major company trading on the stock market, the shareholders would be calling for the CEO's head.
To be fair, I think he will have known that before. Numbers on Patreon thrive on updates and each somewhat significant update will give a push. Which is why it was (financially) always a bad decision to not release anything for such a long time. In fact, I would have expected an actual significant drop, if not more. That it didn't happen is - as far as I see it - due to the fact that there are so few good alternatives out there. If the market was actually competitive, DC wouldn't have gotten away with it this esaily.

It certainly wasn't done out of a serious notion that fans would appreciate it, because whatever hard work they've put in is clearly not on display.
Well, there were quite a few who were indeed asking for some kind demo, and as such it's somewhat fair. I just think he should have framed/named it differently. Now we'll have to see, how the next updates actually go.

I should have been more specific when I said "stagnant", because I didn't mean "sagging". You need to look at the whole picture rather than the last year:

That mark represents the last major storyline release. The difference between the graph to the left and the graph to the right is staggering. If Kompas Productions was a major company trading on the stock market, the shareholders would be calling for the CEO's head. Assuming that the market for horny bois hasn't been saturated there's little reason to think he couldn't have continued on the trajectory he was on prior to March 2021 if he'd kept up with regular releases. That's a lot of lost potential income, and I think the realization (maybe caused by the "Abandoned" tag, maybe not) that he's spent the better part of three years treading water was what ultimately spurred this extremely unpolished release. It certainly wasn't done out of a serious notion that fans would appreciate it, because whatever hard work they've put in is clearly not on display.
I posted the full graphic earlier today... I have posted the graphic many times in this thread over the past 2 years.

No, the shareholders would not be calling for the CEO's head. It is obvious that many people here do not have the business acumen to interpret things. While the tech update has been a cluster fuck, it's purpose is to prepare the game for future profits, not current profits. The "company" as you would call it, can tread water while attempting to rework the product for a future release. As such, and as has been seen with the preview of the tech update, that what they intend is exactly what happened - an uptick (to record numbers) simply by releasing the preview.

He doesn't need the "potential income" you are referring to because at his current expenses of payroll, etc - he still brings in more each month than he puts out... remember that his staffing requirements were based on about $25k-$30k per month - and even before he turned of the $$$ public number, he was well above that number - making profits. Which is what a lot of the complaints here in this thread have been about "that he's pulling in all this money and not spending enough for the tech update to get done faster."

The whole "abandoned" tag excuse (and your maybe / maybe not hedging) makes NO sense - again, because the numbers had been climbing for the previous year back to previous highs and so he was under no rush to do anything because of some tag. And if you're a subscriber with access to the project's actual task list - it is easy to see that what was released as a preview was already stated as completed. But see, we don't see that shit here.... but Username7 has been posting these tasks off and on ... and if people bothered to look at them they would see this is the case.

This argument is tired and old and makes no logical or common sense. If people actually took a step back (or rolled back from their computer desk and pulled up their pants) it is easy to see that the caterwalling going on here is just a moving target of complaints simply because they can't get new content on their schedule and have to wait for what DC wants to release when he releases it.

I do think the was feeling some pressure from his team that they should release something to show they aren't simply fucking around - so that they can show they have been doing things. I do think that some very loyal subscribers offered advice that maybe they should release something to quell some of the discord chatter. I do think that DC thought people would be more impressed with what he envisioned was moving the product forward for mobile gamers (his biggest market who do subscribe and what is the fastest growing VN and gaming market on the world) and because it had taken so long, he thought the preview would satisfy some. AND, the huge jump in subscribers does kind of support his thoughts --- even with the pushback from people who have played this thing for years.

Because, again, there are hundreds, if not thousands, of new people who find his game every single day because there are 2/3 of a million new people on the internet every single day... he's not going to run out of a customer base.

So, again, pushing a false narrative means I am going to pushback on it and, as such, it looks like I am defending DC --- but as I have stated time and again on this site when people ask me why I bother:
I despise the spreading of misinformation (either unintentional or intentional) and/or willful ignorance.

No one pays for the game. It's a free game. Yes, there are subscribers - but they aren't subscribing to get a free game. Everyone gets it free straight from DC. Jesus fucking Christ, you're dense. And almost no one here on this site subscribes to DC (I don't --- never have and never will).

You making fun of subscribers here where people take games without subscribing or paying for them - whether they are free or not from the developer - is like going to a Mormon Church and making fun of all the drunks in the pews. And you keep coming back with the same nonsense over and over makes you look like the fool.

Thank You you paid troll.

It still does not erase the fact he gladly takes this money and does nothing with it.

So your long winded well thought out response is. How do I say this?

I think there are a few fair minded people on this board that keep getting hate for no reason. Just because people need to create a villain in place of DC and that's just sad. I keep up with this thread pretty regular and I don't see any of the fair minded people defending DC. They do give rebuttal to the flat out lies that a lot of people are spewing here and I think that's a good thing. Lies don't serve anyone well. It goes to show an authoritarian mind set when people resort to lies. 'Do as I say when I say it or I'll pitch a fit.' The game is free. No one forces you to pay for it and many people are angry that other people choose to spend THEIR money on this product that the authoritarians don't think you should.

And why is that? I've played dozens of games from this site and, honestly, STS is the best game on this site. I'd love to play better games or even games on par with this one for what I'm looking for, but I haven't found one yet that holds a candle to this game and I think DC knows that. DC's quality is just plain better than other games. Because of this, I believe this generates a lot of emotion out of people. Is the tech update a debacle? Yes, I would agree with that. Was the last update a dumpster fire? Yes I would agree with that as well. Is there anything I can do about that? No, not really. I could go yell at DC on his discord or streams and they'll just throw me out. I could shake my fist here and join the choir, but that doesn't do any good either. I'll just play the game when it's available, because it is the best game on the site.

I've been a patron of this game in the past and I have zero regrets doing that. I also have zero regrets when I stopped being a patron. I did finish the Jenny story this go round. I don't like Jenny in general, but I think her story is great. I like that she is different from all the other girls in the game and it makes her unique. I have never played the SUB route, because I'm not into fem dom. I've only played the dominant route and I decided to play it again this time to see the difference in V21. Overall, it was fun and interesting, but she's just not my jam. Debbie is my jam and she was done dirty in this update. For me, there is just no excuse to not update the Debbie artwork as part of this release. This is the first time I've been disappointed with the effort on an update. But again, there is nothing I can do about it. I'll play it when it's available again, but the likelihood of them ever getting my money again I'd say is pretty slim. And if I'm being honest with myself, DC doesn't really need my money so that only matters to me and not him.

Again, your density shows you are unable to tread water.

People subscribe and receive tier benefits for their subscription. As such, by delivering on the tier benefits, DC does exactly what he says he's going to do for their money.

The fact you can't accept that is your fault, not theirs or his.

This is a preview of the tech update they've been working on for the last few years - only a small portion of the content (Debbie and Jenny, mostly). They say every couple of months they will release more of the preview until the entire current storyline is fully converted for the tech update and then they will move forward with new content releases. Don't plan on seeing those new content releases for at least another year. But yes, for the most part, Debbie and Jenny's stories have been done for awhile now (except for Debbie's pregnancy content and some odds and ends).

The "Tech Release" chopped off all but not even the complete story there was for Debbie and Jenny.
That content will be dick dribbled out over the next year. guaranteeing at least another $290k for the year for pretty much zero work

I've been on here since 2019 and I have WAY LESS interaction than you do being here only since 2022. Because I go to this thing called a JOB during the day.

So are you a paid troll who is on here 8 hours a day? Or are you in your moms basement?
Not that there's anything wrong with that. But maybe you should step outside

Not like it's any of your concern what someone does with their time, considering you're on a porn board and getting worked up over a developer of a porn game. You're not exactly the epitome of having straight priorities here either.

I think he fully understands but he doesn't give a shit, overall. It's what he wants to make and he enjoys making and he has the mentality of "Fuck the haters." Which is exactly what we tell our kids when they have dreams and visions of what they want to do and become... and yet then we shit over all the people who do just that. He wants the branching stories. He wants the replay value.
Actually he does give a shit considering that after Mia update he stopped implementing branching, because there was a lot of backlash against it from his patrons (I was patron at that time so I remember).
And after few updates he succumbed to pressure from the other camp of his patrons, and implemented branches in Jenny storyline.
To this day he doesn't know if there will be branching in like 1,2 stories or in all off them, since his patrons are split, but with slight advantage of people against branching.
