tbh i have nothing against every update becoming big, but DC desperatly needs to change the way he develops the game
he needs to look for another artist ASAP, i don't believe for a second that there is no one out there who can't imitate his artstyle

the SS team added a new coder around a month ago and it actively looking for an artist just like you describe. That's gotta be a good thing, right?

Also, folks need to remember that in the end, only about 60% of what's on the Patreon page actually gets to the pockets of the several people working on the game. It's still not bad money, but it's well below what a "real" game dev/artist would be making--and that wouldn't be fappable stuff, either. penedeyewink:

The oddest thing for me I'm really happy about in the update is the ability to finally finish the homework. x'D

I feel like the team should wait on continuing with the main story line until the censorship dilemma is resolved. If they go with it in 0.17 I think we would all miss out on "household members" being pregnant amongst other changes, but maybe that's me just being biased considering I still have hope they will be successful in bringing back the uncensored game. Otherwise it doesn't matter of course.

Guys, the update is almost here. Why is everyone freaking out?
Four month is a long time yes, but from what I've seen and heard in DarkCookie's almost daily live streams, they work really hard on it and it will add a lot of new content to the game.

And I don't want to annoy anyone, but yesterday in the live stream, we (patreons) had the opportunity to decide if the next update (0.16 Roxxy update) should be split into two smaller releases or in one large update. Most ppl wanted to get everything at once which means the next update will take at least the same amount of time as this update because, as DC stated, the Roxxy update gonna be a huuge one.

They will bring it back as the last thing they will do with the game because of patreon rules.
They will offer it on there own web site for all to download then and will start new project on patreon.

I think the last task is fixing bugs. That would explain the recent developer activities on the official bug tracker.
Only speculations on my side though.

yeah i have some programming experience and i can tell you that renpy isn't exactly rocket science okay? if he has 5 people bug fixing for 6 hours a day there is simply no way that it isn't bug free already which means that there isn't 5 guys working on bug fixing right now. i'm not that talented with art, but even i can say that dc's art isn't exactly picasso and there is no reason why he hasn't hired more artists yet (well there is, he wants to keep his money). you get the point yeah?

Okay, here's a real argument. If you feel that strongly about the way you've been mistreated by DC and the other people on his team You should be telling them rather than venting your spleen here where no one can do anything about it. Clear enough?

well i tried doing that but as i said a couple pages back their mods don't like seeing criticism of any kind on their official discord or during dc's streams. which means you still have no argument sorry.

They have a 10gbps server and a CDN backup available for the release. I don't think there will be a melt-down.

It's part of public concern, as like any actions of any company. People are not well informed and are creatures of habits, so even if Volkswagen would shit on any regulation and common sense in terms of envarioment they still would buy their cars.
If people don't know shit about programming, they may think that delays which are done by large chunk of games devs are reasonable, where they are not.
I don't feel strongly about DC and his game so I have no opinion in the matter at hand, but this argument is so terrible that it should be banned from any civilised conversation. People MUST exchange information and be free to criticise for market to work.

The game is free, and all donations are voluntary.

Sorry but it's not true.
The sister update a year ago took more than 2 months back then when it was supposed to be released around end march\mid april but ended up being released in late May, and pretty much had the same amount of sex scenes of the mom, if not less.
That's when i stopped supporting DC.
The fault was the coders being really slow, and i remember it that DC made a post apologizing for that, only that now the time between releases is getting wider and wider.

Actually, what you're saying is not really even close to true. The mom add on release came out the end of March, and the original sister release was 7 weeks:
