imagine 50.000$ for a game.... There are even harder games with dev's who are taking 2/3/4/5 thousands per month and still working faster with updates... no respect from DarkCookie.

And there are also games barely muddling along or that have been outright abandoned. DC is one of the few game makers doing all his own art. Most other games use pre-rendered and copied 3D models for their games. That or they commission artwork from multiple people, leaving the game to have very little visual cohesion.
Who cares what the man makes? If he's making 50k a month and he splits that amongst five or six people, that number suddenly drops for him alone. Regardless, more money does not mean faster updates. That's not how it works. He's getting more money than most other game makers because he's making something different than most people in his line of work and the masses love it for that.
There's a small number of reasons most of the Adult Interactive Fiction titles are so obscure, sitting in an alpha stage, abandoned or getting low quality updates pushed out quickly.

Same cliche story (admittedly, there's not much you can do if you're wanting to make a story with incest but still)
Oversaturation of said incest content. Currently wating for beastiality, loli/shota or some other "taboo" subject to become the next "in" thing to make a game about. Creators need to make what they love not what they think everyone else wants. It was nice to see some chubby-centric games appear last year, for example, despite a lot of people here shitting on it, rather than ignoring it.
Poor grammar and/or translations (Shitty grammar is an immediate no go for me and many others when it comes playing an AIF title, regardless of how good the art looks)

He comes back after some time pretending to be someone else iirc. DCs discord usually has pinned WTs and searching in his help channel usually yields 3-5 guys who already got a good answer.

Simbro provided the last playable update 15 months ago, no word from them for over 8 months now, and they still make 1,700 bucks each month on patreon, for absolutely -- and I mean absolutely! -- nothing...
ahah I come back every day to look at the progress tracker and they fix as many bugs as they find, it's a never ending task...

Be warned that there is a bug with that statue. Do not look at it in your backpack or all further saves will be broken. Or install my mod, which fixes that bug.
The funniest part is that the update is gonna come out broken and full of bugs no matter what.
Like folks here dont want anyone to be angry but come on. 6 months to re-establishing a single character.
Roxxy update was brilliant and it didnt take as long, like as far as I rmember 4 months. This one though. Lets hope its not as dogshit as the last one and if it is well people are gonna leave which will be good since it will make DC to actually update his dated development method.

Diane did get one and it's pretty good, but I was mostly talking about how you were saying there isn't going to be one in an update that hasn't been released.
The only thing that will make any difference on the update schedule will be a large loss of patreon support. That's it. Even if DC isn't specifically dragging things out to get more money, and I'm not going to make any kind of judgment if he is because I 100% guarantee that every single person whining about it in this thread would do the same damn thing if they were in his shoes, he's not going to change how he works simply because people are upset about it. I do my job a particular way and I'm not going to change it because other people think I should do it a particular way. If you're a patreon and you're upset, then pull your support. If you're not then I'm not saying don't be annoyed by it, but you should remember that it's just porn and how much DC is making off of it has no affect on you and you shouldn't be getting into a huff about it. Life is either too short or too long to get hung up on things, depending on your perspective.

I think the problem is less how much DC is making and more that he seems to feel obligated to deliver a game that meets the expectations generated by such largess. Updates are getting larger and more varied, to the point where they could almost qualify as standalone VNs in their own right, but his team isn't built to produce them on the timescale that most people would expect a Patreon-supported adult game to meet.
If he wants to keep up this level of production that's fine, but he's going to have to compromise at some point and hire another artist even if they can't match his style perfectly. Heck, with all of the art revamps we're already getting contrasting styles in the game (see the last update, which had both old and new Jenny depending on the cutscene) and nobody seems to mind too much. It'd help with his same-face problem, too.

Well hardly as big as hers and lets be honest most of the changes made were just not needed and just wasted time. Like her whole arc just lasted too long.

The Diane update did deliver a ton of new content, but I'll admit I also wasn't a huge fan since I don't really have a thing for lactation. I'm mostly disappointed we never got to fool around in that big bed of hers. Ultimately I can understand why they went that route since they left the (barn) door open to add new characters in, though Lord only knows when they'd find the time to start adding Diane's friends to her stable.

Being a software developer myself, I just thought I'd add my input:
People have reason to complain about the length of the current development cycle, it's too long. I know, content takes time to produce, but projects with development cycles this long tend to start failing. Why? Because the developers are trying to add too much content into each release. They'll eventually be unable to maintain the code and bugs will start to go unfixed. After that, things will just get even worse.
Fixing the problem would be rough for a few months, but really should be done.
The first thing they need to do is adopt an Agile methodology and then start releasing content every 2-3 months. Of course the save compatibility issue would need to be resolved in the first release so that people wouldn't need to start a new game every time.
The project is too large for Dogeek to be coding by himself. There needs to be at least two developers so that they can pair program and review each other's code. This would increase productivity and greatly reduce the number of bugs being introduced into the code.
Which leads us to the posing/animation issue. The fact is, if it's such a bottleneck then DC shouldn't be working on content for the next update, he should be helping with the posing and animation. If something in the development cycle isn't working, fix it!
All that said, from where this game started to where they are now, they've come a long way. Has everything been perfect? Of course not. Is it easy to complain about that? Of course. Does that actually fix anything? Not really.
The best thing you can do is: offer suggestions (like those I've made above). If they don't want to make the changes you think they need to make, then you don't have to support them. If you're not supporting them and still complaining...then you're complaining just to complain and it's not going to change anything.

I know someone is going to ask, so I'll say it right now:
Don't ask me how long it'll take me to update the incest patch when 0.18 drops. My current patch only replaces lines, which is okay, but not really great. The game has multiple characters that say the exact same line. This means that replacing the line for one person changes it for everyone that says it. The new patch will take longer to release because I'll be doing it properly this time.
