Like folks here dont want anyone to be angry but come on. 6 months to re-establishing a single character.
Roxxy update was brilliant and it didnt take as long, like as far as I rmember 4 months.

And this update isn't even a full update, it's just a 0.5. The guy needs 30% more time to deliver 50% less content.

At this rate when will he even finish the game? 2024?

And the next proper update (0.19) is apparently going to be the largest update content wise. If it takes around 6 months for the upcoming update, I can only imagine how long 0.19 would take (provided he doesn't get more artists, coders etc.)

Would not be surprised if 0.19 took around 8 months.

To all of you that are asking for new artists added to the project i say nay. I don't want to experience the same things i've experienced with One Punch Man Season 2 compared to One Punch Man Season 1. Shame on you and shame on your whining. I'd rather wait than have the game ruined by whiners pushing another artist onto the project so they can jerk off one month earlier. Go and play other games. This forum is full of them.

19 has also been under construction for the past couple of weeks, at least. It's not like 19 doesn't start being worked on til 18 or 18.5 releases. So, he's already going on it.

Alright bois and Grils, I have good news. Dc confirmed on stream that animation is done and they are implementing it tonight and going to spend the weekend QC it before release. It is unsure how long it will take but MY, I FUCKING REPEAT ITS MY OWN ESTIMATION, hope is for Monday release.

what codes? they could drop the game over the weekend that would be overtime but not this. the only thing they are doing is to "fix" more bugs they are just updating the progressbar for the bugs to let it look like they were working..

Yeah, let's give them a break guys! DC is pulling in over half a million dollars a year. 6 months is totally reasonable.

If he was working 40 hours a week on art, there's no way it would have taken that long to make. Since he has writers and coders he should be primarily focusing on that.

well,there always the brighter and the darker side,the problem is that the blue balls make everything look darker....in my case,i'm just realistic(and gladly,not in the expectative of the update),and the game i'm waiting for is the LOQOO which updates in every end/beggining of the month...i'm gonna find it amusingly ironic if LOQOO ends before SS

People need to punish this laziness, not to support.Stop defending the devs like DC , they are making a lot money you guys just fapping.So they have a job to do and they need to do fast.

They have a job to do and they're doing it at their own pace. They are, in no way, obligated to speed up development because a minority of people believe they should. You see how many people are paying? 17,377 patrons. That many are paying and happy to pay at the current rate. The relative handful who are complaining have pulled their funding or have never funded in the first place.

There are thousands of games out there in the AIF world. Hundreds that are good, dozens that are great and few that are amazing. There are even more "legitimate" games out there by many developers. It's not like SS is the only game out there. Go play something else.

They arent obligated for sure, but I cancelled my patron because I supported them for 7 months and got 1 update in that time, 2 if you count the holiday surprise update. 15x7 is a lot of money for very little update content. They can take things at their own pace sure but part of supporting these projects is to support them to be completed not to be a pet project for several years. Majoras Mask was like a 13 month turn around off OoT that was a whole feature filled game. They were made by a large team and reused assets so its obviously not a fair comparison but like a 3 year long project and literal Quarters go by without content updates while people pay monthly, not by patch will burn people like me out.

Did I lock myself out definitely on the dasiy part or is there another way of having the status ?

If he adds another artist, that's two different art styles in the game. You, usually, don't want to make the art differ in a game as it becomes quite glaring. No two artists draw alike, so the odds of him finding someone who can mimic his art is minimal.

This is/was an issue with Elena Champion of Lust. The differing art styles were glaring to me and, though it shouldn’t have, it affected my enjoyment. As fickle as we all tend to be, two or more different art styles, or any inconsistencies for that matter, would have people pissing and moaning just as much as the amount of time it’s taking for updates.

I think the problem is less how much DC is making and more that he seems to feel obligated to deliver a game that meets the expectations generated by such largess. Updates are getting larger and more varied, to the point where they could almost qualify as standalone VNs in their own right, but his team isn't built to produce them on the timescale that most people would expect a Patreon-supported adult game to meet.

If he wants to keep up this level of production that's fine, but he's going to have to compromise at some point and hire another artist even if they can't match his style perfectly. Heck, with all of the art revamps we're already getting contrasting styles in the game (see the last update, which had both old and new Jenny depending on the cutscene) and nobody seems to mind too much. It'd help with his same-face problem, too.

This is a fair point, but the problem is that artists are incredibly fickle and expensive in this specific line of work.

Your first paragraph points out correctly that this is getting into what a standard VN is and I'm talking Japanese VN with significant character development. The problem is that the girls are coming out more and more and it's becoming two or three actual VNs instead of just one. Most Japanese Hentai VNs will give you a choice of 3-5 romance options. We are well past that along with redoing it so there isn't a certain genre that would cross a line or two.

At this point, this is certainly Kompas' baby with DC at the helm. But the reality of the challenges in front are certainly daunting in making a game in media res while hopefully expanding it properly as need be.

Apart from horrible design choices like removing scenes, the stroyline was hot garbage too. The story that this milf just wants to get on with you and she does is far more appealing than what we got all the barn crap in the new update.
Like really Endgames out and I have just seen it and theres still no word on when the updates gonna be released. Now hes like of the Eve update will be the largest, bruv like you already took 6 months on a update for a character who already had a proper update, how long are you gonna taken for Eve when you callin her update the biggest? Like yeah hes gonna take 8 months and as this update is gonna be hot garbage like most expect it to be, DC's gonna take a hit.

I will say this about the Diane story. If you enjoy incest, playing with the mod that makes her your aunt again (like the original game was), the story does get much better and makes more sense. But without the incest, I agree it is very forced and does not flow smoothly as a narrative.
