No, your argument is that the STS coder is the authority on what Ren`py can and can't do simply because you know he has work experience on the engine. You don't care if he's a poor coder or not, you only care about his experience.

So by that logic you will eat shit from a well-known chef.
No, my argument is that the SS coder is the authority on SS's modified engine. That until that specific someone can produce a better game using that modified engine (or even the basic engine), I'm more likely to not care about his so-called expertise.

But how many of those talking about how easy it is to make games in Ren'py actually have a game made in Ren'py that they actually worked on?

I don't think he's a poor coder. I think he's overworked though. And, to go back to your analogy of shitty food:

I don't expect five star service when going to a place that is open about it's average quality menu. I don't expect Gordon Ramsay to be cooking my food at McDonalds.

I read his posts on Patreon and Discord. I expect SS to have bugs, I expect slower update cycles. I don't have expectations beyond what is said. I know I'm not going to download the first release of the game and will wait for x.1 or x.2 before playing because x.0 is usually buggy. I'm not expecting a flawless update. I'm not expecting a ton of new content on a character rework when said character has a lot of content already.

The problem is that you, and others like you, expect far too much, considering what this game is (a pornographic visual novel).

You (in the general sense) can't comprehend that an update is more than spank-bank material. That you complain when all you get is ten minutes of content because you use Tab to skip all dialogue until you hit the porn scenes or get stuck because you weren't reading.

You act as though SS is the only reason you live because if you don't get an update every four months that has a lot of material to fap to, you'll die. You can't stand the fact that some people have other things to keep them busy during that period of time.

You can't look past the fact his team is pulling in 50,000 a month. You can't understand that only half of that has to go towards the game and the other half can be used for whatever purposes they want.

You can't stand the fact that a lot of people are more free with their money than you are. It's the exact same as people who cry about others buying lootboxes in other video games. You antagonize and berate them for spending their money on something you disagree with.

Lastly, for the patrons who actually do pay something and threaten to pull funding: Go ahead and pull it. Your couple of dollars won't make a difference in development. Until the total income drops below 25,000 a month, all that extra money they're making is going towards whatever they want it to. It might be the game, it might not. Regardless, most Patrons are fine with the update speed and content cycle. He's not going to lose that many Patrons for quite a while, if ever.

I ran through v17.5 pretty much all the way with no problem with bugs or anything else, now with the re-worked v18.0 it seems that there are bugs all over, almost like they were put in on purpose. What is up with this?

Do you think I'm gonna read you 50 paragraph posts? Lol!

I'm just asking you how the engine got modified and you sit here and rage about "OMGGG HOW DARE YOU QUESTION ITTTT DC IS MY LORD AND SAVIOR REEEEEEEEEEEEE"

Fucking relax, kid. It's just a porn game.
I don't know how it's modified. I've said that already. However, I've never acted how you're insinuating. I've told you I'm inclined to believe the person working on the game plus my limited Python knowledge while looking at the game code.

You're the one who needs to relax as all of my posts are calmly writtin, except for my last one responding to your inability to read and comprehend the point that unless you have experience, you can't tell people how easy it is.

How do you know it's modified at all?

Calm down, bro.
I don't, but I'm taking his word for it. But, by your logic, me taking his word for it means I'm willing to eat shit.

However, by my logic, it means I'm willing to pay and play the game they're working on because I like it. If it starts smelling and or tasting like shit, then I'll stop supporting it. What you call shit, I call something else, because my expectations aren't affected by the hype people unrelated to the project encourage.

I came to read something about new update and I found two guys raging at each other for 2+ pages.
I know it sounds selfish, but does anyone clean this shit nowadays?

So here are the bugs I have seen this far.
Jenny Roxxy quest can't give Jenny the money it is a loop.
Talking sensei about panties multiple rollback errors.
First night with painting teacher multiple rollback errors.
Roxy alcohol quest is somehow bugged but I can't understand why. I am assuming because of the tutoring questline didn't ended yet.

Is it me or does DC making enabling the console harder and harder every update. I changed the console file, I added the option file, but it's still not working.

They changed the way to open it at least since the last version:

At the moment I open this thread about every time after you opened it.
I mean, there have always been people around who like the game but the recent number of people with hate boners is actually quite astonishing. I mean, it's fine to spend time on something you like but I have no idea why someone would invest that same amount of time just to tell people how much he doesn't like the game/DC. Though I guess that happens to every project once it actually reaches a certain number of people.
