Strangely enough, I think I'd feel comfortable with sharing in this game between MC and Erik. Especially if you go the double team his mom route. Like a helping out your bro thing. Obviously not with the main love interest girls (Debbie, Diane, Roxxy, Eve, etc.) but with casual partners like the teachers, Odette, Helen, Missy/Becca, Josephine, etc. Perhaps Jenny could have a route where they keep it casual with MC and go 3-some for the streams.

The only-ish sharing scene in the game for now is mostly despised by many and will probably get dumped in the route remake, so your point/hope for more is pretty much dead

On the one hand, I agree, the story with Eve as is currently written makes a "polyamorous" outcome very out of character and honestly makes cheating on her with other girls kinda heartbreaking. I mean, I still do it, cause it's a game and she's not a real person, but the game does a good job of making me feel guilty about it.

Furthermore, the problem with polyamory as the universal solution to make a harem happen is that real, healthy polyamory is always open, mutual, and symmetrical. "He's allowed to fuck as many girls as he wants but he's the only boy I'm allowed to touch" is not polyamory. "I'm not really comfortable being in a non-monogamous relationship, but he wants to fuck other girls and he's so wonderful I'd rather put up with it than lose him" is not polyamory. "He's been fucking as many girls as he pleases behind my back, but when I finally found out I wasn't really bothered enough by it to kick him to the curb" is not polyamory.

All of this is just the fantasy of having patriarchal ownership over multiple women in defiance of cultural norms prohibiting such, dressed up in a more appealing coat of paint. Painting this as polyamory is actually doing a lot of harm to the polyamorous community because this is what people think it is, just a justification weird dudes use cause they want a harem. I honestly have more respect for works that are honest about what they are and present the harem as the misogynist power fantasy that it is. (A game like Free Cities for example, the girls in your harem are literally your property. Your MC is 100% the villain of the story.)


But on the other hand, an Eve/Grace threesome scene *would* be really hot. So who can say which one is right?

Yeah, a number of good points, both of you.

I'm not a fan of OPP (One Penis Policy) in polyamory. There is common situation we see in the poly community, where the male of a M/F couple suggests polyamory, thinking it'll mean more women for him, but soon finds that his partner ends up having more opportunity and can't deal with it.

My first relationship was a MFM triangle, so from my perspective, I would not be adverse to knowing that the LIs are not monogamous with the MC (sauce for the goose, sauce for the gander), but I know the vast majority of the player base would not stand for that.

I would love to see a game where the LIs are as open and free to explore as the MC.

Since a true polyamorous game is very unlikely, having a "harem" game where the LIs are supportive of the other relationship is the best I expect to find here. The games on the other end of that spectrum, where the MC must actively hide and make sure the LIs do not find out about the others are not for me. The games like Free Cities are beyond that spectrum and definitely not for me. I have tossed a few into my recycle bin.

I personally don't really like the this whole "hentai/porn logic" thing to be honest, because it often simply leads bad and lazy stories. In the end they invested a lot of story time to build and develop Eve's character and her relationship with MC, to have this really nice and sweet romance and it just seems too far out of character to me. You'd need a lot of dialog and the outcome would probably still be far from good.

As said, I fully agree that the current situation isn't good, but a I don't really see a good way out, either. It's almost tragic that the new scene kinda made it even worse compared to how it was before. But yeah, just writing something to have an ending that's not totally bad seems rather unworthy to me. But that may just be my opinion which is just as good as anybody else's.

I really dig the story arc of Eve and the MC. When ever there is a new patch I will start the game over and kind of ff past most the stuff I have done already except the MC/Eve story line. I will actually take time to let that one play out.

Yeah I was thinking of the latter(the actual sharing in the in best case scenario being reserved for that magical unicorn post-release update).
Considering how heavily Odette keeps hinting towards it there seems to be some author intention behind the message(admittedly there is a point to be made about how that might just be Odette´s character being set up for later drama but...considering the light-hearted nature of the narrative I somewhat doubt that).
Probably important to keep in mind that(at last as far as Eve is concerned,the main plot sadly forcing the MC into cheating being another topic)its not just "other women" but her sister who Eve has repeatedly said she wants to see happy so I dont really see how that would diminish her plotline(going by hentai logic anyway).

Here's the thing, nobody is forced to screw Grace or Odette. And Eve's plot can, afaik, also be done after one has finished the main story since, iirc, the story is split into three branches: 1. Find out who killed father, 2. Get date for prom, 3. Get money for college. So all the romance arcs are kinda meant to be separate from the main plot. So if one desires they can just stay faithful to Eve and never fuck Grace or Odette.

I've yet to get the hermit dude to spawn or whatever, I just saw that someone threw that number out there and if that's the legit number of times you have to repeat that minigame then I have better shit to do with my time.
