" .... more than half of that 63k are simply followers who don't pay anything. Patreon now counts paid tier subscription members and those who follow for free as "memberships." You can see what day Patreon made that change on the graph below - it's when it exploded around 2 October.
The "minimum" and hundreds of thousands of dollars range of guesses are higher than what he's getting and paying out to his staff of around 8 or so.
It's still a chunk of change at $61k per month to divide among 8 or so people. That would be $7.5k per month if it was divided evenly and there were no other expenses. But there are other expenses, it's not divided evenly. Still, there's no need to exaggerate to get a point across.
