Once again I'm sorry because I'm not an active user and I don't pay attention regularly on this thread so I really don't know about this.
Jerks are going to be jerks. The only think *more* obnoxious than having the same question asked a thousand times is when some twit with an ego puts down a random stranger in a desperate grab for that eleventh-thousand "like".

Who would have guessed people who spend all day on porn forums as a hobby could be so toxic?

Honestly, I've to say, that only happens here, cuz between excessively heavy fanboys, the DarkCookie lawyer whom I had silenced, and the new users who always ask the same thing, I've only seen this here, cuz in the Divimera forum, FET, and others, I've not seen so much toxicity, there are even others like Daily Lives In MY Countryside, which are nicer places than this, cuz Milda is not milking her patreons to live the good life and only upload wallpapers to please to the most accommodating fanboys

There're also other patreons who pause their projects when they cannot fulfill what they promised(?)/planned, but if their supporters still pay for nothing then why do it? And Patreon could be probably shut down in the future considering how many devs don't stick to their plans or abandon their games after they do nohing for years(see Redamz and his gambling/gacha addictions) or reach a specific amount of income.
I'm just curious to see if the tech update will lead to the end of the game or it'll speed things up as planned. Time will tell us who was wrong about it.

Daily Lives In MY Countryside: nice game and art, but damn it has too much grind for my taste.

The game is not part of any tier benefits for DC. The game is free for everyone. Subscribers support for a variety of reasons - but if they are subscribing simply for access to the game, they are fools because no one needs to do so. However, DC does fulfill his monthly tier benefits (through discord role and channel access, access to VODs, wallpapers, etc - do folks even read the Patreon page or just make assumptions?)

Patreon won't shut down any time in the coming future (5 years or more) - it's a successful creator-supporting (not product-based) platform.

Finally, "speed things up" wasn't the focus of the tech update. No one should expect any updates any quicker than they saw them before the tech update (about every 2-5 months).

Meanwhile, I'd argue that the Milfy City one is in even worse state than this.

But I gotta repeat my statement from earlier: why not go into DCs streams and complain to him directly instead of a board that's not even peripherally related to hin anymore?
You know, spam that chat real nice.

That's pretty easy to answer. Do you pay attention to every dollar/euro/whatever you spent every month? The majority of patrons generally are lower tier. What's five bucks compared to the astronomically higher rent one gotta pay every month? That's less than a pack of cigarettes in many places, and people buy those all the time.

And Patreon could be probably shut down in the future considering how many devs don't stick to their plans or abandon their games after they do nohing for years(see Redamz and his gambling/gacha addictions) or reach a specific amount of income.
Oh? Has there been some government types that have Patreon in their crosshairs like they had lootboxes a couple of years back?

RPG Maker porn game in a nutshell lol.

the agruement is about, "value."

been going on for a few years now. Most of the people here would make terrible salespeople, judging from their lack of understanding of other peoples' value-systems. It is pretty entertaining.
There's a certain irony of talking about that on a porn pirating board, wouldn't you agree?

This picture seems to represent the average Patreon member since DC hasn't put out but Wallpapers in 14 months and has been working on the tech update for years, yet his Patreon numbers are going up. It's legitimately mind-blowing.
I think people seriously undererstimate the number of patrons who subscribe/unsubscribe. Given the fluctuation each month, it technically takes like ~6 months or so to replace every single patron DC has with someone new. SS simply has a massive reach via all kinds of (social) media and as such there seem to be more than enough people who discover the game, like it and spend a few dollars.

It would be interesting to know whether patreon actually provides devs with information about, for example, the time an average patron has been subscribed or so.
