So much people are disappointed in the update but scammer cookie already announced that this update was going to be just UI and 2 Debbie scenes that are remasters (which is low effort).

The legendary scammer most probably destroyed the roadmap because he knows it's not feasible, expect a new delay in this two year period of tech update.

As for the next update, cookie is going to remaster/add Debbie content for the next update with pregnancy. Let's see how long he milks that update...

So according to the changelog, no content was reintroduced let alone added with this update? And it looks like that roadmap or whatever is gone from the dev's site? This is getting really sad at this point. Truly a "I'm not mad just disappointed" moment in the world of porn gaming
Yes, to your first question.
No, to your second - it's still there:

Also, if you open the game - you will see what they are expecting to have come in the future for the tech update, in an order they are estimating - but that order has never been written in stone:

Let's just hope this is a pre-release of the update that's going to be released on the 1 of October (if there is one) matter of fact the better be cause I've never seen this type of shit or scam
Don't hold your breath for 1 October. This appears to be the release for the end of September. Next update should be expected around the end of November.

And you keep coming back.

The game is not paywalled. The game is not sold in any store or on any site. No subscription necessary or coaxed to play. The game is free for everyone directly from the developer.
Are there not people donating via Patreon? Is it unreasonable to think that those paying fans (and fans in general) should expect better from a dev who's been doing this for several years at this point?

That's on them. They aren't paying anything for the game. If they don't think that the dev is doing what they want - they can stop. No one is keeping them hostage in subscriptions.

And yes, there are many subscribers - however, their tier benefits are explicitly laid out in Patreon and they are fully aware their subscription is not necessary to download the game. In fact, in the about page, it is specifically stated the game is free.

This is not unlike someone dropping a tip into a busker's hat on a street corner.
If you like what you see/hear - drop a dollar or two ($2 per month is about the average for this developer per subscriber, btw - about the price of a 20 ounce bottle of soda at a convenience store).
If you don't, enjoy your day. Either way, what you get is free.

If enough people decide they no longer want to subscribe/tip/donate (whatever word you want to use) - the developer will fold up shop and move along. Just like a busker on a corner - they'll go off to do something else somewhere else and people will have to find a new source of free entertainment.

(EDIT: Now, if this was a developer that paywalled their content, this would be a different discussion, honestly)

You make a valid point. Patreon contributions are entirely voluntary, and fans choosing to support the developer are doing so knowing full well that the game is offered for free. It's all about personal choice—people are free to support or withdraw support if they feel the development process doesn't meet their expectations.

It's also important to remember that crowdfunding, especially in creative projects like game development, is often unpredictable. Just like tipping a busker, as you said, you're not paying for a guaranteed final product on a set timeline—you're supporting the creator and their process. And in the case of Summertime Saga, it's clear that the developer hasn't promised anything beyond what they lay out on their Patreon.

In any case, if people aren't satisfied, they have the option to stop supporting. The real key is transparency, and from what I've seen, the dev has been clear about the nature of the project.

DarkCookie would only need to be reported! It's never clear, he's been scamming people for years! Collecting signatures? I hope the last update is a Pre-Release, at which point I will not only ask for a refund, but I will send a big report.

A refund for what? A game that is offered for free by the developer?

What color is the sky in your world where you're owed anything for nothing? Because it's not blue that is for sure.

Also, you're on this site where we take games for ourselves to play without any compensation even if the developer did charge for the game. Why the fuck do we care?
