I always read about how content is cut and everything out of the tech update, but hell the game has not even 20% of it's original content by the looks of the cookie jar. So many placeholders and missing characters.

Since a lot more people who'd drop support if they knew what he was doing when he abandoned the original. DC will need at least the time it took him for the origian game if not more to reach that lv of content.

I see you are playing v0.20.16
The failure isn't "Christmas" - it's "Charisma". This is not a date and time issue.
Anon has not increased their skill "Charisma" high enough to complete the task.

The game has been around since before 2016. In that time, there have been many coders with various levels of experience and training who have their fingerprints with their own ways of coding throughout in the nearly 10MB of written code and script/dialogue. The game was designed initially when the default and "gold standard" of using Ren'Py was the 4:3 aspect ratio for VNs. Since that time, mobile devices have increased their footing in VN playing. There are upwards 20,000 images in this game. All art that needed expanded was revised by DC. Since the aspect ratio changed that means that thousands of images need repositioned, "posed," into their proper positions.

This is #110 of my rebuilt FAQ which I will simply call a WIP ("work in progress"), since it appears I need to start some of it all over again.

a shit and messy code that prevented the game from expansions and updates, especially in earlier parts of the game. That's the main reason they are claiming.

in some way it's understandable. He created a game years ago, was completely new at this, and just learned along the way. It's reasonable to assume that a lot of mistakes were made back in the day, not to mention that codes were created that sort of worked at that time, but constrained the game for the future.

So now, they are reworking the code, updating old drawings, increasing the overall quality, while he keeps adding little storylines, new locations, and updates as well.

But in the end, he's milking the process. His streams are likely his actual work hours. The code and so on should have been finished a year ago. He promised the Debby storyline to be finished back in May, it still isnt. And we havent even started other stories like Roxxy or Eve. The whole progress chart on his website hasnt moved one % since 2024.

The last update i played was 4468, which you might assume is a very old update, but no. The update is only a year old, and nothing has really changed since. He keeps adding so much irrelevant shit to the changelog, that in the end it always amounts to like 5 minutes of clicking through old scenes and 5 clicks of new frames. That's about it.

His changelog could very well be:

• added an exclamation mark to the text in leg 3.
• added a strain of hair on the floor while debbie gets fucked.
• Jenny now looks a bit different than before.
• You now can save just like before, but i made a different shade of black for the background.
• ....

You get the picture. ill play it when the update is finished, which will be approximately in 5 years.

Stop lying. The old Code / Version was indeed trash, that's why the tech Update was made in the first place.

It WAS supposed to be just a tech Update, just making it 16:9 and with some Quality of Life Improvements but the Playerbase / Patreons actually COMPLAINED that Dark Cookie didn't took the chance to remake his older content like Debbie, Mia, Helen, the Teachers etc. for Art matching with his current style (Eve, Main Game Story and such). That's why Debbie got reworked as a Remake, because the Playerbase / Patreons actually WANTS it. They were mad that Dark Cookie and his team had the old Debbie Art in the Tech Update so it got reworked. Debbie getting a Remake and also a Continuiation and Pregnancy WASN'T planned at all. That came afterwards after he got the Complaints.

The Teachers that are currently in the Tech Update will probably also get the Remake treatment (not Pregnancy yet since their Stories aren't completed yet), since they are also still the old art style in their Scenes, Bisette has actually a new look for example.
The Sex Shop Worker (Ivy, has 4 old scenes), Life Guard (originally called Cassie, now Zoey, only had one scene), Nurse Micoe (only had one scene), Helen, Mia and Sister Angelica and such will probably also get their Scenes remaked.
Because the Patreons spoke, and they said "we want that the Art match".

It didn't progress because the Debbie Remake wasn't part of the actual Tech Update. The People complained that Dark Cookie wanted to get away with using the old Art Scenes for Debbie, the Teachers and so on. That's why the Tech Update didn't progress because the Complains of the Playerbase / Patreons actually did manage to "force" Dark Cookie to Remake his older Art. And that will probably continue, not just Debbie. So the Art Style will match with his newer Art Style (like the Eve and Main Story).

He seriously thought "Ah, just leave it as it is" and just get away with it.

Im lying ? So how come all of the old art is gone (except Jenny , some of the teachers and some placeholders) , the code is new , the whole posing system is new , open the game files and see for yourself . He is making changes to the story of the game ( Debbie's route and he is going to remade all the other main characters stories ). And after 2 years he is still on the "tech update" a whole year of remaking a single character story . So whats the difference between a remake (aka redoing the whole game) and this so called "tech update"? He is remaking all most all parts of the old game hence is a remake , not a simple update. And update is when you add something new to an existing thing. A remake is when you start to reshape it from scratch - what the dev is doing with the game. You say it was not planed , so its still what its it . At this rate of development if he is indeed going to remake all the old characters story and art then he is remaking the game. So what exactly im a lying about ? The one that's lying is the one who called this a "tech update" in the first place.
