Technically and depending of what definition you take/use, male Eve can be a futa (girl with a dick or dude with boobs). Just like NTR, "futa" can be a few things (especially if you go the japanese game route)I get having a trans character and I see no problem with it. Unless there is another character that I've missed I'm pretty sure you get to chose if the character in question is female or trans so what's the big deal?
But MY question is has anyone modded it yet so they're a futa? If I'm given the option of trans OR pregnancy I need an option with both
As said before, I think it was more the case that DC just didn't care about the usage of his words, as was explained above. As far as I'm aware he did indeed care about a proper story quite early on and an actual "trap" was never on the table. And no, the original plan was to have a trap character (aka a dude dressed as a girl for the sole purpose of baiting MC into thinking he's a girl), the trans trait/char appeared way later when Eve was the only schoolgirl left and DC fell for his own schemes/jokes and transformed it to trans for whatever reason (possibly a continuation of said joke)
Doesn't the term futa usually include both a dick and a vagina? The futas which are often shown in games are basically just fantasy and can't actually exist in reality.Technically and depending of what definition you take/use, male Eve can be a futa (girl with a dick or dude with boobs). Well, yeah, that was kinda the point. Hermaphrodites usually don't have two fully functional sexual organs - certainly not as we see it in some games.A reality-reliant futa would be a hermaphrodite : both sexes into 1 person. Whatever we get in games isn't and doesn't need to be reality-based.
That's not really how the term is used when it comes to NSFW games though. It's even written in the article: "In today's language it refers almost exclusively to characters who have an overallThere's also "futa" with a normal girl having a dick but no pussy, having both pussy+dick and dudes having boobs. The term is pretty loose

Sure, it exists, but I mean, the chance to have a perfectly working "normal" dick and a fully functional female sexual organs is basically indeed zero. At least as far as I'm aware.Off-topic, possibly will be deleted because O/T.
It actually can but is extremely rare, like <0.1% rare. The highest probability is as a result of Chimerism, which is also very rare- given that the highest estimate of natural human chimeras is ~10%.
Identity politics. That's definetly what we need on these forums. That's good to hear, I'd heard that he'd gotten a icy cold shoulder when he asked for advice.
Reminds me of something I've heard many times--those who want to take advantage of LGBTQ+ often learn all the terms flawlessly in order to gain their confidence. It advises to recognize when someone is genuinely trying to do the right thing, to use the right terms, even if they stumble.
I often consider myself "mildly gender non-conforming." Nothing drastic, but I really never fit in with boys growing up, never got some of their attitudes and felt more at ease in the company of girls. I often look to the time when "gender non-conformity" is no longer a thing.
Don't forget that this game is made for sexual release. You people just taking this too seriously. This site is definetly not for you if you seek compeling story about transgender people.Adding to the arguments, I just kinda think the Eve trap/trans thing was kind of poorly executed in general. I think there are a lot of areas where it could of been handled better and it just ends up feeling more natural in relation to the rest of the game that Eve is a girl by birth.
I see your point, but I disagree. You are basically saying adult games are porn first in nature which is untrue. The story is important to give life and drive to the sex scenes and the more compelling the story, the more intense and rewarding that scene is. Build up and payoff are essential in these games, which is the main reason why 95% of all adult games are complete trash.Don't forget that this game is made for sexual release. I am not going to argue with you about that but that is how things are on this site.I see your point, but I disagree. You are basically saying adult games are porn first in nature which is untrue. In the end there's has to be some kind of compromise between what should be done (which is something one can argue about) and what can actually be done. The cutscenes already take a good chunk of DC's time and adding a lot more story will also increase the time it takes to release and update.I see your point, but I disagree. I'm not arguing that it needs to have more story. I'm simply arguing that a good story is just as important to the game as the porn. And for the most part the game really gets it right in that aspect. And yeah, its almost to a fault at times, with the story far outweighing the porn content, but I'm actually really happy with where the game is right now. My original argument was that I didn't think the Eve trap/trans reveal felt natural within the game, but that is just one small instance where I felt the writing kind of failed. Overall I thought Eve's story was really good, but it just kind of fumbled on the trans subject matter. In the end there's has to be some kind of compromise between what should be done (which is something one can argue about) and what can actually be done. While I'd fully agree with what you are saying, one just has to accept that we aren't talking about a simple VN or indeed light novel/book and as such it's not always that easy to just add "more story" while maintaining the quality and the schedule.
In that case I may have missunderstood you. I thought you meant it like "her story was bad as it is and as such it should have been elaborated further to fix it".My original argument was that I didn't think the Eve trap/trans reveal felt natural within the game, but that is just one small instance where I felt the writing kind of failed. You're not stating an opinion though. An opinon would be "I don't like trans content." You said it "never was intented to be a trans genre game... And drawing the trans animations takes time and effort from normal content." Neither of which are factually true, yet you present them as fact. Three people tell you that you are, in fact, making incorrect statements about the content of the game and the game's development cycle, and present proof as to why you are incorrect. Then you persist in presenting your flawed, self-informed information as facts about the game's development. If you can't differentiate between an opinion and a fact, that doesn't change the definition of those words as defined in American or British English.
Agreed. To portray the inclusion of a single trans character, a sympathetic one at that, does not turn a game into "a trans genre game," The inclusion of Russian mobsters does not make a Mafia family genre game either (like DeLuca Family).Having a trans character in the game or any forum of media is not "hijacking" it.

Not that it really matters. I just wanted to point out that there's a reason why trans and futa shouldn't be used as synonyms.
