Not only does the gallery doesn't need anything to unlock everything, you can start a new game with 80%+ of the game already done and only have to continue to get new scenes ...... Search bar is a thing and managing to read the OP/changelog is also something you can try

At least another 3 years - most likely longer. As long as the developer has ideas he wants to add into it, enjoys doing it, and as long as the supporters want the story to continue - it's going to continue.
there is really no point waiting for this game to be completed. at this pace the game will be finished in ~5 years or so and that's only if everything goes according to plan, who knows if we're all going to be alive by that point.
8 months. Naah, just joking... though I believe the tech update will be out in 3-6 months at this pace while the next two updates will probably take 2-3 months each due to the art being ahead of the coding. So... check back in a year, if not done at that point, it will be nearly done. For now, main story is kinda finished.
