Teoretically speaking it should help. As some of the optimized code could be repurposed for other characters.
It certainly seems like it'll make working with these art assests more convenient and intuitive. Then again, I'd still think that the overal savings in time will be minor. Once we return to normal updates, everything more or less depends on how fast DC can deliver the art assets and the really big, time consuming items (scenes, cut scenes, backgrounds etc.) won't be affacted by the tech stuff at all.Serious question. Does anyone truly believe that the code refactoring involved in the tech update will actually improve the speed of updates, as was suggested at the outset? I'm sure the intention was to reshape the codebase into something more sleek and easy-to-debug so that the production of new quests could be smoother and quicker to test, but if we're being honest surely we all expect it to be equally cumbersome to dev for, just in different ways?

2026 at the earliest imo
There's no place where any1 on the dev team stated it would go faster. Less of a mess, yes. No need to unfuck the code every build, yes. Might help with outputting test builds for bugfixing, yes. Not "Dc can now draw an entire update within a day and the coder just imports the un-posed assets and the game will output content on its own" .....Serious question. Doesn't necessarily mean much if anything. E.g. it's not that uncommon to take what was originally a single task and split it into sub-tasks entered separately for easier tracking and maintenance, but it doesn't affect actual amount of work that needs to be done.Hilarious how they doubled the amount of total tasks during that time too, good thing people can actually do basic math
exactly he makes enough in one month to pay for a full time code money for a year....Why is the coder only part-time?
They also almost 3x the amount of done tasks, which means they actually did something, on top of splitting the to-do list just to pad the trackerDoesn't necessarily mean much if anything. But yes, people who can't do anything beyond basic math might get impressed.
Well, yes. They've advanced completion from 58% to 80%, i don't think anyone is disputing that. At this rate they might hit 100% in another 1.5 years. They also almost 3x the amount of done tasks, which means they actually did something, on top of splitting the to-do list just to pad the tracker

Entire human race or this particular thread ?The tech update and it's consequences has been a disaster for the human race.
With the doubling of tasks, I expect we are seeing the bugfixes.Wait until they start bugfixing!
That aside the number of tasks doubled and you got multiple pre-tech updates during that time
What kind of backwards logic is this? Just because there's an explanation for why progress is slow doesn't mean progress isn't, in fact, slow. It's been 2 years lolthey add a lot of tasks also finished lot of task, that's why the progression seems to be slow, if you only read % then you probably will whine like a baby lol
Might wanna get mad now and for the upcoming ~6 months : there won't be any content in the tech build (aside the wider screens and 4-5 new places with girls who don't do anything). Better get your milking scamlord banner on copy/paste history and come here to spam it daily for those ~6 months ..... Or get banned for spamming and off-topic, whichever comes 1stHow the fuck is this update not out? In no world is this sort of work product acceptable with the cash they are pulling in monthly. IMO, this is one of the biggest scams on patreon at this point. If the update doesn’t have a sizable amount of content (it likely won’t)…
I think he's drawing art for the Rhonda update that comes after the tech-update, so he's ahead of schedule and is probably working very slowly. The guy is still streaming every day, what is he even drawing when there's no pre tech update planned and the art for the tech update is basically done?
What's the point of being ahead of schedule if that update won't be out until posing and coding are done? Unless the update is gonna be extra heavy on the art sideI think he's drawing art for the Rhonda update that comes after the tech-update, so he's ahead of schedule and is probably working very slowly.
