He makes so much money because he has earned it try and discredit that all you want yet the proof is staring right at you with the fan base. These tech updates were not going to have much content to my understanding, yet I see more in those then most games with a regular update. I know devs that are way worse on here one has to turn off comments when an update comes out due to the pure hate that comes from the upset community on here.

I am not being paid by anyone in fact the opposite I am also not saying anyone should go donate that is a personal choice they make. So, I will assume your ignorant about the word shill and just said the first hater remark that came to mind because your upset about something.

I am just a fan watching people whine about something they got for free saying I got scammed because I donated a little bit of money. I didn't have to donate to play the game I only did it to support something that made me happy I am sure I have wasted more money on something that brought me less joy.

I know this is difficult to process - but there are enough players of the game, both subscribers and non, who aren't as bothered by the pace as some of the more vocal individuals who are bothered. Personally - as a nonsubscriber - it doesn't bother me if this takes 2 months or 20 years.

If it bothers a person that it is taking this long of time and they are a subscriber, we have all advocated that they should stop donating. If it doesn't bother them and they wish to keep donating, that is their choice. They might get enjoyment out of watching the streams live or on VOD, they might see the value in what DC and the team are doing even if it is taking a stretch of time, they might just support DC's vision, they might simply donate as a way of saying thanks, or they might just be donating for no other reason that "meh, seems like a thing to do."

As has been mentioned time and again, DC left his previous work partially because he did not enjoy working in a traditional game development firm (with project managers, etc) - so the idea that he might hire one to manage him is a non-starter. His doodling on the stream is a public relations activity as well as a way to have interactions with some of the fanbase - it should not be seen as some kind of productivity time that has its primary intent to advance the game content, but as 'facetime' that may result in content. Its like having Wendy's fast-food restaurant founder Dave Thomas in Wendy's commercials - nothing really gets checked off the to-do list, but it does have other advantages.

Also, as has been stated over and over and over - to others and in replies to you - DC has made it publicly known that while the monetary support is nice, it's not his driving motivation to make the game. His development team will shrink and grow based upon his own enjoyment/frustration with the progress. If he brought in $200,000 per month in donations - he probably wouldn't do much different than he's doing now. If he brought in $200 per month, he would shrink the team to just himself and develop when he has free time - and then updates will REALLY slow down.

yeah i know DC clearly doesn't care about money because he said so. if his donations drop to 0 he's just going to be like "you know what kids, we could have retired as millionairs in a couple years but you know what... it was more important for me to not hire a project manager who know what he was doing or pay a coder full time. i just had to follow my dreams you know. i'll also definitely will keep working on this game for free because i said so." that's totally what's going to happen

I understand what you are saying as in DC becoming complacent getting money constantly even when he is stretching things out just doodling. I can say I am only donating when an update comes out which I think four came out in 2022 which I donated only a few times. If everyone started disappearing it would be a wakeup call definitely which may be the kick in the butt he may need, or just slow things down more before possibly quitting. Whether the donors stop like you say or just do the same as me donating when something enjoyable is presented we will never get enough to make a huge difference from the massive fanbase. The donors are going to donate as they want because it is their choice so no use whining and calling it a scam when it is as big as it is. The fan base is so big because DC has done so much right and not enough wrong in making this, I have enjoyed the content myself and what will be will be at this point. You did not write out that full statement in your original post - to now state that you did is in error. And this is the heart of the contention for you and a good number of the others who complain about the speed. Guess what. The world does not revolve around you or your sense of entitlement. The game will get updates when it gets updates - no sooner, no later. Also, it is very obvious that DC will continue to develop this game until he thinks its completed, which most likely means when he no longer gets satisfaction of the the development of the game. It may never "be finished" to the definition that you have for it.



As I have mentioned previously, players need to remove the idea that these games will have an end and may go on for 20+ years like some television series.

Why am I here - because I do enjoy the content of the game. Just because I don't share your impatience about the progress doesn't mean I don't enjoy it. Also, because there are some people here I enjoy interacting with.

I'm not here to complain, whine, bitch, moan because I can't get my rocks off since DC hasn't put out new content - which seems to be the only reason why others come here.

I just came in here seeing all this donor hate being thrown around calling us brainwashed cultists or something like that I didn't dive too deep, and I am not going to. I was just throwing out my perspective as just a simple fan that takes what he gets and only supports if I feel it is right. The reality is that people are mad that the update for their free porn game isn't done yet. also nobody is physically stopping you from giving your money to DC but i'm not going to stop talking about how he completly changed in terms of transparency and his work ethic from back when he started, because back then you could really see the progress he was making in his streams on his art for example. back then you were able to ask him questions like why is it necessary to make a 360 degree view of the town or making these really elaborate interiors of the light house instead of him working on the rhonda/annie update. if he's done with both the rhonda and annie update art he could start drawing art for the judith story and so on. try doing that now and you immediately get banned.

It's just a silly game to jerk off to and people like it enough to donate some money, that's it, that's all there is to it. I genuinely wonder where you get the idea from that patrons are getting shafted out of their minds when the game is pretty substantial and has had updates during the development of the tech-update, while also being free. You're acting as if nothing gets done or that this is undoubtedly a scam when it's really not.
