Personally - as a nonsubscriber - it doesn't bother me if this takes 2 months or 20 years.

that's great for you but i followed this project because i enjoyed playing it and would have liked to see it be finished during my lifetime. if you don't care about if the project ever gets finished why are you even here? just to write walls of texts and spam your faq?

If it bothers a person that it is taking this long of time and they are a subscriber, we have all advocated that they should stop donating. If it doesn't bother them and they wish to keep donating, that is their choice. They might get enjoyment out of watching the streams live or on VOD, they might see the value in what DC and the team are doing even if it is taking a stretch of time, they might just support DC's vision, they might simply donate as a way of saying thanks, or they might just be donating for no other reason that "meh, seems like a thing to do."

s has been mentioned time and again, DC left his previous work partially because he did not enjoy working in a traditional game development firm (with project managers, etc) - so the idea that he might hire one to manage him is a non-starter. His doodling on the stream is a public relations activity as well as a way to have interactions with some of the fanbase - it should not be seen as some kind of productivity time that has its primary intent to advance the game content, but as 'facetime' that may result in content. Its like having Wendy's fast-food restaurant founder Dave Thomas in Wendy's commercials - nothing really gets checked off the to-do list, but it does have other advantages.

Also, as has been stated over and over and over - to others and in replies to you - DC has made it publicly known that while the monetary support is nice, it's not his driving motivation to make the game. His development team will shrink and grow based upon his own enjoyment/frustration with the progress. If he brought in $200,000 per month in donations - he probably wouldn't do much different than he's doing now. If he brought in $200 per month, he would shrink the team to just himself and develop when he has free time - and then updates will REALLY slow down.

yeah i know DC clearly doesn't care about money because he said so. if his donations drop to 0 he's just going to be like "you know what kids, we could have retired as millionairs in a couple years but you know what... it was more important for me to not hire a project manager who know what he was doing or pay a coder full time. i just had to follow my dreams you know. i'll also definitely will keep working on this game for free because i said so." that's totally what's going to happen

if you care about this game you should stop donating even if it's just 2$ or whatever. if enough people do this there might be change, for example DC might actually hire a project manager, employ a full time coder or at least he might pretend to actually work on stream instead of doodling for 2 hours or wasting 30 minutes talking to his team about where exactly to put a chair inside the bar and things like that. if progress continues at this pace the tech update is still not going to be out by the same time next year

I can say I am only donating when an update comes out which I think four came out in 2022 which I donated only a few times. If everyone started disappearing it would be a wakeup call definitely which may be the kick in the butt he may need, or just slow things down more before possibly quitting. Whether the donors stop like you say or just do the same as me donating when something enjoyable is presented we will never get enough to make a huge difference from the massive fanbase. The donors are going to donate as they want because it is their choice so no use whining and calling it a scam when it is as big as it is. The fan base is so big because DC has done so much right and not enough wrong in making this, I have enjoyed the content myself and what will be will be at this point. You did not write out that full statement in your original post - to now state that you did is in error. And this is the heart of the contention for you and a good number of the others who complain about the speed. Guess what. The world does not revolve around you or your sense of entitlement. The game will get updates when it gets updates - no sooner, no later. Also, it is very obvious that DC will continue to develop this game until he thinks its completed, which most likely means when he no longer gets satisfaction of the the development of the game. It may never "be finished" to the definition that you have for it.



As I have mentioned previously, players need to remove the idea that these games will have an end and may go on for 20+ years like some television series.

Why am I here - because I do enjoy the content of the game. Just because I don't share your impatience about the progress doesn't mean I don't enjoy it. Also, because there are some people here I enjoy interacting with.

I'm not here to complain, whine, bitch, moan because I can't get my rocks off since DC hasn't put out new content - which seems to be the only reason why others come here.

Most of the donors are not coming here to read about summertime when they are discussing it elsewhere this discussion might as well be a fart in the wind.

I just came in here seeing all this donor hate being thrown around calling us brainwashed cultists or something like that I didn't dive too deep, and I am not going to. I was just throwing out my perspective as just a simple fan that takes what he gets and only supports if I feel it is right. We all have different perspectives which gives us different opinions I just felt like expressing mine like you will yours I have no doubt.

The reality is that people are mad that the update for their free porn game isn't done yet. Obviously there are things that DC could do better especially since he is making a lot of money, but it's not like the dude hasn't released anything since he started working on the tech update. it's not really not about protecting new people from donating. throwing 2$ a month or so in DC's pocket doesn't really hurt the donator, the problem is DC will not do better as he is right now because, just as you said, he keeps making more money

also nobody is physically stopping you from giving your money to DC but i'm not going to stop talking about how he completly changed in terms of transparency and his work ethic from back when he started, because back then you could really see the progress he was making in his streams on his art for example. back then you were able to ask him questions like why is it necessary to make a 360 degree view of the town or making these really elaborate interiors of the light house instead of him working on the rhonda/annie update. if he's done with both the rhonda and annie update art he could start drawing art for the judith story and so on. try doing that now and you immediately get banned.

It's just a silly game to jerk off to and people like it enough to donate some money, that's it, that's all there is to it. I genuinely wonder where you get the idea from that patrons are getting shafted out of their minds when the game is pretty substantial and has had updates during the development of the tech-update, while also being free. You're acting as if nothing gets done or that this is undoubtedly a scam when it's really not.

I understand that the tech-update is taking way too long and that the pace isn't looking good, there's criticism to be had. But fucking hell man, regain a grip on reality because you're just a dude yelling at clouds at this point.

I suspect that people are confusing Patreon with GoFundMe or IndieGoGo. Crowdfunding platforms were designed as a public form of venture capital. Instead of going to a bank and saying, "I need X dollars to make Y product", you ask the public to fund your project. The creator promises a product in return for an investment. It's a quid pro quo.

Patreon is the online equivalent of a tip jar. If you like what someone is doing, you give them some money, and they don't owe you anything. There isn't even an implied quid pro quo; it's a karma-only transaction. SS not being developed faster despite the massive amount of donations is no more a scam than if people keep throwing money in a musician's hat at the subway, and yet she isn't releasing albums any faster. She gave you something for free, you chose to give her some money, and that was the end of the transaction. If you think that she now somehow owes you something, you don't understand critical concepts like gifts, voluntary vs. involuntary, and contracts.

If there's content you like, you give money, if there's content you don't care about, you don't. As the game is free, you can even donate after you've played the update. What's so hard about that?

Well, Dildorog did make 1 or 2 animations for DC which made it into the game (I think the ones with Ivy from one of the pre-techs) - though I personally have to say, that I prefer AEHentai's style in general. Even the ones which made it into the game look a bit too "static" to me... but maybe that's just my taste.

To be fair, there's certainly a difference, if either you spend your time on something you like or on something that just causes you frustration. I totally get people who enjoy something (no matter what kind of strange hobby/topic it may be) and want to be part of that community - they do it, because it's fun. But I totally don't get people, who are just spending their time on negative emotions again and again and again. Having a few bad weeks is fine, but after some time one should really ask oneself, if that time shouldn't be spent on something positive. There are some people around here, who are writing the same negative comments for 3+ years...

I have tried to install the mod myself but to no avail even though have tried according to the installation instructions for Android but the hidden files do not allow writing to them even with the mentioned file reader (I have tried 4 different readers but Android hidden files do not let write only read is allowed!!! Thus my question

He lost over 11% income in 2 years, didn't change anything. It's as if the $/month point never worked and what we've been saying for 2 years is actually true : he doesn't care about $

So you want all the art for the next 5+ updates to be done now and have DC twiddle his ass for the next 4 years, doing absolutely nothing, since he made the art way too soon ? While the posers and coder still need a year per route ? Logic doesn't work like people in here think it does .....
