Well yes, but he's also a nice guy. You have to go out of your way to make MC an asshole. Otherwise this entire game can be summed up with the trope "Single Woman Seeks Good Man".
I'll be real with you, while Lust Epidemic was kinda fun, I thought Treasure of Nadia was meh. Sure, animation quality went up, and there's more chicks too, but it also suffers the same issue as any game with a huge harem. the third one in a nutshell is "orgies the game", that one is more straigh forward and the plot is alright

I mean, he is #1, so must be doing something right. Makes me wonder how many of those "Kickstarter game dev scams people out of millions" were just people blindly funding games like this.
The difference is you don't need to deliver a product on Patreon unless you promise it, you can keep posting and there is nothing someone can legally do about it.

NLT is a veteran in the 3d modeling/animation field, let's talk about 2D, boobs games does hand drawn art and manages to update his game every month, he's a solo dev who has not missed an update this past year(I've only tracked one year), the consistency and overall work ethic of the rest is unbelievable fucking wild life and subverse are updated better than this and they're the games that are worth waiting for months, I popped in over a year later to see some updates, all I see is people who got scammed supporting/defending the ea equivalent of porn devs.Since the "pre-tech"/rework update started, NLT media developer put out 2 fully fledged out massive games and are on their way to finish the 3rd one

The Subverse thread can be about as bad as this one lol. Clearly not everyone over there shares the sentiment that the content is worth waiting for.

This dev shot himself in the foot so much, how is he ever going to release an update that warrants a development time this long? Unless he brings out the best update that has ever graced a game everyone's just gonna call him a huge scammer (justifiably).

I still can't believe Christina Hendricks made it into the game in the form of "Tina Hendicks"... Christina Hendricks is honestly one of the hottest women I know and I never expected her to be popular enough to be noticed that much, let alone be added to an erotic game. I wonder if the team plans to put in even more celebrities than we already have so far. Really craving that tech-update right now, man... Haven't played since 2019 so there's plenty of new stuff I wanna see.

The thing to really wait for is if he will go ahead and release the Rhonda update with the tech update, because i believe the art assets are done?
So then it should be a matter of adding the code for the update, and what better way to proof of concept that the tech update was worth it but to release the next content update with it.
Because if, after all this time, they pull a 'oh man, that would take too long to add an actual content update, despite the art assets being ready', and the tech update ends up being the existing game's content with wider screens and nothing more?

Don't plan on it. Even if all the art assets might be done. Even if the script might be written. There is still the coding and the posing involved (which are the two areas which still have the most work to do on the tech update). That would add more time onto the tech update release, furthering the delay even longer. No one should expect anything except the tech update... and the subsequent bugfix releases... before they see any content update for Rhonda, Annie, and Judith.
Oh, I fully expect it to have no new content.
And that's my point. For the longest time before the tech update began, the bottle neck was always the hand drawn art.
Now, the art has been (mostly?) completed, and the code / posing is going to be the bottle neck.
(I'm not sure why they cant figure out the rigging system for posing first, allowing the art assets to be worked on fully while the rest of the code is worked on, but that sounds like a project management failure)
But, unless my understanding is off, the entire point of the tech update was:
1) add wide screen
2) make the code more robust for adding new content.
#1 has largely been done, the assets ready to go, unless i'm mistaken?
#2... well, again, you can say it's 'done', but until you add new content, you really can't prove it was actually successful.
If they release the tech update with just wide screen, and it takes *another* 6 months to finally release Rhonda, then the tech update did nothing.
I hope I'm wrong. I hope it takes no more than a month and updates start flying out and they can prove the naysayers wrong.
But given it's taken them years on a Ren'py game, i'm not optimistic.
