Carry on HelldiverAbandoned.
Gamers, we won.
In a box there's a game. The current status of this game is completely unknown to everyone outside that box until it is opened. Sadly, the only way to open said box is for the game to release an update. The game is simultaneously in a state of death and life until it comes out of that box.Straight to the point, is this game dead?
let's see.....So its oficially dead without coming back? great now i can actually play it :V
It's not dead. The dev is still working on the game but since he hasn't released an update for 18 months, this gets the abandoned tag. If I am not mistaken he said that the first release of the partial tech update would come out at the end of this month. So its oficially dead without coming back? great now i can actually play it :V
Helldivers is already on its way out after the Sony debacle. Get with the times.Carry on Helldiver
I play on Sony but the lack or relisting in non psn capable countries has me questioning what bs Sony may pull next...just sayinHelldivers is already on its way out after the Sony debacle. Get with the times.
I'm in the exact same spot. Have they taken the opportunity to rework old questlines? Is there new content, and how much of it? All those assets we saw DC drawing on stream have to go somewhere, and that's just what we saw on stream. I'm genuinely curious how much has been changed. Its basically a bi-monthly proof of life. Likely at least a year before we see the full tech release and that's probably being generous. Just remade routes for while and a peak at the tech updates bells and whistles. Its not much for 3 years time, but I for one, am looking forward to seeing to what extent the old content has been remade.

Agreed, honestly. It's actually an incentive to play Debbie's story again. I entirely ignored her from when Roxxy's update hit way back. The only good thing about the first update is that we get to see the new Debbie art, some of those early 2016 art are rough,Debbie looks like shit in some of them.
Thank you, I echo your comment. I went off on a rant in my latest post on the Milky Touch thread (completed game by Studio Kuma which shut down after making losses from lack of support) about the sheer amount of good devs on this site that don't get enough support, many of which float around $200-300, some make even less than $100. If only people stopped supporting big devs that stall/abandoned their games, we would have healthier competition and more balanced support across developers. They are many small games in this site who are very underrated wich makes the support of this game more crazy.
Like i understand liking and wanting to support Summertime but holy shit this guy gave you nothing for 2 years and hes going to give you crumbs and tell you is the greatest thing ever now.
Studio Kuma was an unfortunate mix of low support and overreaching ambitions. The voice acting alone cost way too much for what the game made.Thank you, I echo your comment. But this is like a stupid wish because in reality, many people don't support even 1 dev, and the ones that do, are commited to big devs like DC and Magicnuts who are already making too much doing barely anything anymore.
It sucks how many fanboys DC has, realistic he should be making 15-20k a month and that is still too much.Thank you, I echo your comment.
